I feel like cattle. I miss my old OBGYN before I moved here. Honestly I would rather travel 2.5hours to my other OB than come here again. I don't feel any personal effort from any of the staff whatsoever which is making checking up on this pregnancy not enjoyable whatsoever. I just waited over an hour and watched a bunch of patients come in after me and leave before i was seen- and I find out it's because they never checked me in. They just sat there looking at me. I really hope I have a good delivery experience (even though I have no idea who will be delivering my baby in 8 weeks. Which is sad. You'd think they'd try to get to know their patients.) read more

Whether you're in the market for a doc to take the yearly peek at your vajayjay or you're about to pop a kid out, Pinelands OB/GYN is a solid choice for the caretaker of your clam. The doctors? An entirely female staff of highly-trained medical professionals. Front desk? Surprisingly helpful and accommodating--in my experience, this is where even a good doctor's office usually drops the ball but not here. Interested in the Gardisil vaccine but overwhelmed by information? A small, disposable mp3 player pamphlet outlining the benefits and risks of the treatment will be happy to accompany you home. Birth control making you breakout, have migraines, or spot? Some samples of a new low-dose on the house. Night and weekend hours because you have a job/life? Done and done. I think it's important to note that I didn't even bother to look for a new OB/GYN when I moved to Philadelphia. I feel like they're worth the trek because I've never felt anything less than trusting and comfortable in their care. This is saying something considering the nature of the usual appointment with one of these women. So pull your insurance card out of your ham wallet and make an appointment! read more

For routine gyn care I did not encounter any issues with this office, although I did encounter an insensitive APN. However for pregnancy, I found this to be a Horrid experience. I have not had an easy pregnancy and their insensitivity and and lack of follow up was unacceptable. I would not receive return phone calls. I was on home iv fluids and the home infusion company also had difficulty in receiving return phone calls. I felt like I needed to direct my own care because I was not getting the proper care. Every solution was "go to the ER." I was placed with so many different doctors that every time I left a message I had to repeat my whole story because I was bounced around so much. I understand that in an ob practice you see all Dr's as you will not be sure who is on call to deliver you however most practices you have a primary ob dr and that's who the messages get filtered to. The call wait times would range from being on hold from 15 to 30 minutes. The office staff while friendly, they seemed very unknowledgable and again I was always bounced around. I feel the office is very poorly managed. I transferred out of this practice at about 16 weeks and it was the best decision. The group I am with now is amazing. They are kind, compassionate and informative and they make me feel like a person and not a number. I would absolutely not recommend this practice. I've been coming here since my teens and after this month, I realize I need to find a new doctor. I had two appointments in two weeks, spent more than 3 collective hours in their waiting room, and I have YET TO ACTUALLY BE SEEN. Literally. I watched a girl with an 11:45 appt leave before I ever was even called for my 10:30. Pitiful. So now I'm almost 11 weeks pregnant and i have never seen a doctor. If this baby isn't healthy, I have NO IDEA because this office cant operate a simple scheduling software. I'm insanely disappointed and worried about the wellbeing of our child. I have been calling for over a year to get my medical records and nothing... not even a callback!!! Forget about anyone every picking up the phone. I have to have surgery and need my history and "Pinelands" who advertises how much they care is sure showing me how much but not responding to any of my messages for over a year. The crappy reviews fit the terrible service. "Our board-certified OB/GYN physicians and certified nurse practitioners offer a progressive approach to patient care and individualized attention in a compassionate manner." How about a lack of compassion or individualized attention. I could not make my 1st appointment due to extreme fatigue and throwing up. I made a second appointment and because I was 13 min late I could not be seen. Mind you there was one person in the lobby. ONE!!!! You are not a compassionate business and when working with pregnant women you should know by now that not all of us are blessed with easy pregnancies. It took everything in me to shower and drive to the appointment only to be turned away because I was extremely sick and 13 min late yet the waiting room only had ONE person sitting down. You should be ashamed of the way you operate. Also when I first made an appointment the receptionist stated a date and I said that specific date wouldn't work and asked if we could set another one. She then asked me why I couldn't make that one?! I wanted to say ummmm that is none of your business among some other words but I just stated I had a prior commitment. Never again! Go else where if you actually want individualized care and a company who is compassionate about the difficulties pregnancy may cause because this place isn't it. ...and mind you I NEVER go out of my way to write a bad review about a company but being how sick I am due to another difficult pregnancy, I could not let the opportunity pass me by without stating a few words about the awful experience I just encountered. read more

The doctors are great. I am sad to have to leave, but NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE EVER. If you want to make an appointment, you're out of luck unless you have about 20 minutes to spare. If you can't even get them to give you time to make an appointment (i.e. money in the practice's pocket), I cannot imagine how awful it would be to try to get medical records or anything else. It's a darn shame because the doctors are great, delivered my son, and I really liked them. But it's just not worth the hassle in even trying to contact someone there. I've received consistently good care here. I like that the staff is all-female; I can just call and take an appointment with whoever is available. Sometimes the wait can be a bit long and good luck getting an appointment if it's just a check-up and you work a 9-5, but if you can get in, it's a decent place to be. Professional, efficient staff. Front desk is very polite. They did insist that I wasn't due for an annual because my birth control rx was still valid; had to remind them that they refilled it when my insurance changed. Not a big deal, but I wouldn't want them to just kind of skip a trimester if I was pregnant or something. I plan to stick with Pinelands when we decide to start a family. read more

"Your Call Is Very Important To Us", apparently not, especially when you're waiting 30 minutes on hold (as I write this review). Being in the health care industry for over 25 years and have plenty of time and experience being on both sides of the phone. 30+ minute hold time to speak to a human is unacceptable. I can't imagine what the women of the surrounding area do when they have a serious question or concern. The doctors may be best in the area ( based on the reviews), but trying to get your first appointment will test your resolve and leaves a lot to be desired. I should have found an Obgyn in the area before getting pregnant. I relocated here from the Freehold area and I have to say I am most disappointed with this practice solely based on seeing an actual doctor isn't an option during pregnancy until the second trimester. I have never heard such a thing in my life. The nurses are mostly nice but if my insurance is getting billed for a doctor, why am I seeing a nurse? Also, I came here to see Dr. Chao who is wonderful but she just retired from OB and me being pregnant am let down by that. So far I have only met 3 doctors and I am not connected to any of them. They were all nice but I just don't know if I would go out of my way to come here. This whole experience seems impersonal. If you need to call you will have to wait about 30 mins on hold and if you have any issues after hours the after hours service won't contact your doctor unless you are in labor only. Everything else they send you to the ER which is a bit extreme. It is convenient having a lab on site for blood work and testing. Maternal fetal medicine next door is convenient but difficult to get an appointment. Whenever I google other practices or ask for recommendations this place is always top of the list. I'm hoping things get better and I've contemplated traveling an hour to my old doctors but it's just too far to deliver an hour away so I hope the rest of my care goes well.... read more

To whom it may concern,  Please tell me how To make a formal complaint against virtual OBGYN. I have been seeing doctor Deluca since I was 19 years old and for some reason this year when I called to schedule my annual, which typically takes place in September, I called in July mind you and was told they didn't have the September schedule yet and that I will be put on a waiting list. No problem. I called in August and was told they still didn't have a the schedule but confirmed I'm on the waiting list.  I just called today where they explained they received the schedule last week and called everyone who is on the waiting list to schedule them already. I asked why I was not contacted and the woman Helene would not give me her name for a matter of 5 minutes kept saying ma'am you need to listen ma'am you need to listen before she said ended the call so I really would like to file a complaint because I don't understand why had to wait until today to find out that it is in my best interest to switch to a more competent and customer friendly OBGYN when had I known I could have just switched in July. Beware, this place has gone down hill, find a better more caring OBGYN! read more

Make the drive to PA. They don't know how to triage, my mom waited for an appointment for postmenopausal bleeding for over a month, a symptom warranting an immediate visit, and it turned out she had endometrial cancer that could've been caught sooner if they were a knowledgeable practice. You'll sit on hold for over 10 minutes every call just to be told you can't be helped at that time and someone needs to call you back. They never do. I've waited for two weeks to get a call back just to change my method of birth control, they don't call, and now when I call them I'm told they can only talk to me about birth control if I call at 815am, how much of their clientele isn't working at 815am? It's a shame they have a monopoly on south jersey. read more

Dr. DeLuca gave me the worst possible care. I've been with this office for 20 years but it was the first time I saw her. She "forgot" about me. I was waiting for an hour and a half, and then finally stuck my head out the door to ask the girls if they forgot about me. Dr. DeLuca heard from the next patients room, and came a few minutes later giving some excuse.. She ordered my routine mammo, and unfortunately had to order me an ultra sound and biopsy because it came back positive for breast cancer. The Radiologist called me on a Monday morning to tell me the news, and he TOLD me he had JUST spoken to Dr. DeLuca. She NEVER called me. I left messages and finally she called on a WEDNESDAY night, claiming she never spoke to the radiologist OR got word of the results of my tests. She CLEARLY LIED TO ME! I have written confirmation stating the the Radiologist spoke to her just before he called me. Story goes on, but the lesson is stay clear of DeLuca. read more

Dr. Agar is really knowledgeable and is able to answer all of my questions in-depth. She really takes the time to make sure my questions are answered. Getting a routine care appointment is usually EXTREMELY difficult if you work business hours. The staff managing phone calls is difficult at best, sometimes rude. Also, my credit card was double charged on my last visit. I am considering an alternative care provider even though I feel Dr. Agar's care is very good. read more

I had a hysterectomy three weeks ago. I have been in so much pain I get a migrane ever day. I also have a UTI. Antibiotics were supposed to be called into my pharmacy and I was told to drink more water (no crap). They never got around to calling in the antibiotics so when I can find a ride I'm off to the ER. The nurse who called me was rude and told me that maybe I have fibromyalgia. If that is not the stupidest thing a medical professional has said to a patient 2 weeks after a hysterectomy, I don't know what is. I'd avoid this practice. read more

If I had the option of zero stars, it stil wouldn't be low enough to represent my experience at this office. The staff is SHOCKING rude and unhelpful! Don't be surprised if your call wait time exceeds a half an hour on a regular basis, and once you finally do get through the office staff is unbelievably rude. The actual doctor is not too bad but the staff makes, an already uncomfortable doctor visit, unbearable. I went to get put back on birth control after a few years off of birth control and was told I had NO option other then am IUD (30 year old non smoker). When I finally conceded to the IUD it took three months of calling into the office during my period to finally give up and go to another physician because they were unable to schedule any appointments to have the IUD placed because their hours are extremely limited. I wouldn't recommend this office e to my worst enemy!!!! read more

Takes at least an hour to get seen for your appointment. They never returned my calls on their refill voicemail so I tried getting through on their appointment line...called three times in one day and no answer. I don't like complaining and I realize things happen but as an ob/gyn this should not be happening and I want other people to know what's going on before they decide to start going here. read more

i give my actual doctor here 5 stars, but the office staff -2 stars, so i think that works out to about 2 stars overall. first of all, set aside a good 30 minute chunk of time to wait on hold anytime you have to call here for ANYTHING. i mean seriously there can't be that many people calling in at ALL TIMES and if there are, that may be a sign it's time to hire more staff. secondly, i can't find their hours published anywhere, but the first time i called it was 4pm but after my 30 minute hold time when i finally got through, it was the after hours call service. the prompts leading up to this made no indication it was after hours; if it had i would not have wasted 30 minutes waiting to get a call service who couldn't help me. when i called back the next morning and waited on hold for 30 minutes i got a girl who was clearly annoyed she had to take my call, spelled my name wrong back to me 3 times even though i was spelling it clearly and slowly (and it's not that hard). then she couldn't find me in the system. then the appointment i had to book was so far out i requested for them to call me in a refill on my Rx in the interim...i won't be holding my breath on that one. also, ironically if you show up less than 15 minutes EARLY for your appointment they write in big letters on your file 'LATE TO APPOINTMENT'. 1. i wasn't late and 2. hello there black pot...it takes you 30 minutes to answer the phone. love, kettle. read more

This office is completely unprofessional and unreliable. I am a 24 year old woman and after having tests done I called in for my results. I was told that they didn't have them and didn't know when they would have them. First of all that is not what you say to someone who is worried about potential bad results. Then I called LabCorp myself and they said that they had the results and sent them over to my doctor last week. After having them faxed over to my doctor for a second time I then had to wait another 3 days for my doctor to call me back. When she did she said "I heard you were freaking out about something so I'm calling" Why would you ever treat a patient like that especially when it was your mistake in the first place. I did find out that I needed a procedure done. I decided to go somewhere else for it but I still needed this office to disclose my medical information in order to have the procedure done at a different place. I faxed them the signed form in order for them to disclose my information and I was told that they didn't receive the form. I had a conformation from their fax machine that the form went through so why was there another problem? I don't know if its sloppy organization or that they just don't take medical maters seriously but this entire process has been horrible. It is scary enough to worry about test results let alone have to jump through hoops to take care of problems. I am writing this as a warning to others. Do not trust this place with your care. read more

Mixed bag. I have been going here for over 20 years. I love Dr. Chow and would give her 5 starts, BUT the office staff is either way over worked or just rude. Call to make an appointment expect to wait on hold for 30 minutes. Arrive on time for your appointment and expect to wait a hour or more. I usually have to wait about about 90-120 minutes before I see the Doctor if I schedule midday. Best tip I can give you is to schedule first appt of the day and the wait is usually only about 45 minutes. :-/ read more

If you want answers on tests they order don't get your hopes up. Every time I've called for results they either say they don't have them or they just don't return the call. If something is wrong the amount of time they waste could affect your treatment in the long run. I'm shocked that this is how they treat their patients. read more

I have been going here for prenatal care for the past 2 months and have seen the NP(Fran), and 4(Siegel,Chao,Manning,&DeLuca) out of 5 docs. I truly only liked DeLuca. Chao & Manning although friendly, were not on the ball. Siegel was smart, but short with me and a little rude. The worst part is that the Lumberton office itself is so desperately in need of a renovation, that I didn't even want to take my shoes off in this place. Medford is not much cleaner. The bathroom always looks dirty, and the exam room is just as questionable-YUK. I would not reccomend this practice to anyone, unless you have no other choice b/c of insurance. If you have insuarnce other than Medicare, there are many other practice's out there that have their act together. Keep searching. read more

I went to this office for my pregnancy with my daughter. I saw all doctors and dr Manning was hands down my favorite. All the doctors were polite with the exception of one. I never had any rude staff or long wait times. Whenever I had an issue after hours I called and they would page the doctor and I always got a call back in less than an hour. You can use the same line for labor to call about issues. We are planning on having one more and will be returning to this office. read more

So sad that I will be looking for a new gyno. I've been seeing Dr. Agar for 12 years and she is absolutely wonderful. However, I can't deal with the office any longer. You can easily wait on hold for 30 minutes just to make an appointment or ask a question which is annoying enough but I expect it so I try to call right when they open or have it on speaker in the background while I do other things. Today I try to call to make an appointment and was told they only book appointments now 2 months in advance and my doctor is booked. I ask if there's a waiting list or if they can call me when her November schedule is available and they tell me no. They tell me I have to keep calling back to see when it's made available. Wait, what? Seriously? No I'm not calling back everyday and waiting on the phone for 30 minutes+ for you to tell me you don't have her schedule. What kind of doctor's office is this? Dr. Agar is usually booked solid for months to begin with and now I have to keep calling in the hopes I'll nab a spot only two months out and if not I'm SOL? No thanks. I'm on the lookout for a new doc. Sad to be losing Dr. Agar though... read more

Doctors are wonderful, but very difficult to get basic requests processed. It has always been difficult to get lab results or prescription refills. If you're pregnant, they're better, but if not you're not going to be treated as a priority. read more

The front desk at this office is horrendous. I work in Healthcare and I understand how a front desk at a medical office works and I don't understand how they can't get it together. I needed am rx filled. My local pharmacy said they would contact the office and have ir filled for me. They tried contacting this office 3 times, never got a call back and never even spoke to a human. I tried calling the office myself 4 times, never got a call back or spoke to a human. So I went to the office and asked what the problem is and why they can't answer or return phone calls. Come to find out they would not fill my rx until I had my yearly exam. Every year when it's time for my annual check-up I call and every year I wait for over 20 minutes before a human being finally answers the phone. This year I tried once, waited for about 5 minutes, hung up and decided I'd try the Virtua "make an appointment" toll-free number. Told them who I was trying to make an appointment with and their comment was that they always had trouble, too with Pinelands. After 24 hours +/-, I got a call from them stating that my doctor didn't have anything until sometime in January. At that point I decided I'd call another doctor's office. Gee, a human answered the phone (after listening to prompts) and I got an appointment a week later. I was happy, the doctor & staff were very nice and it's a practice I had gone to prior to Pinelands. No more waiting for almost a 1/2 hour for someone to answer the phone. Perhaps the physicians at this practice should read the reviews and address these issues with the staff. Bye-Bye Pinelands OB-GYN for good! read more
