The installers took great care when driving the Dingo through the gate opening and planting the tree. However, in the spring of 2026, only half the tree produced foliage. We emailed the company and asked if we should apply spring fertilizer to help it along. We received no response. A week later we called Columbus Trees and were told to send photos. We sent two photos of the tree: one from the day it was planted with full foliage and another of the tree this spring with only half the tree producing leaves. The owner, Andrew, called, apologized for the delay in getting back to us, offered to replace the Redbud with a selection of our choice, and made some suggestions that would fit our requirements. We are waiting to schedule the installation of the replacement tree.

We are doing a DIY project over the holidays and we were looking for a live edge wood slab for the…read moretop portion of the stand. Think table top. Our difficulty was going to be finding one slab that was 23" deep. We knew that was a tall ask. A friend of ours suggested we drive out to Johnstown and check out Almendinger Sawmill. We visited on a chilly Friday afternoon and we began by looking around their huge wood yard located in a large barn. We we impressed with the selection and the affordable prices. Everything seemed priced so fair, we almost could not believe it. Our initial plan was just to look. We wanted to get an idea of pricing, what it may cost for us to get what we wanted for our project. Then we met Clint. He is a young, gregarious man that seems to have a vast knowledge of wood and what they have in stock. He showed us many options even though the depth we were asking for was tough. Ultimately he took us to a finished slab of maple wood that was breath taking. I actually ooohhed when Clint revealed the piece. He laughed out loud because I believe he knew he had just made a sale. The price was beyond reasonable so we said we would take it. We have not regretted it since. In fact, we believe we made the best decision by stopping by and checking out Almendinger Sawmill. We are beyond thrilled with our slab of wood and we can not wait to begin our project. We feel so lucky to have met Clint. We are so glad he helped us out that day.
