This coffee shop is a hidden gem! I came on a weekday afternoon and it was pretty empty. It's spacious inside and there are different types of seating. It's a part of a conference center and there are different amenities inside. The bathrooms are nice as well. It's only open on weekdays and until 4pm. There's some parking spots and some specifically for "Amenity visitors", which I assume people who use the coffee shop could use. Coffee prices seem reasonable and they didn't charge extra when I asked for non-dairy milk. I got a medium holiday drink (the Frosted Mocha) for $5.11. It tasted good but had a bit of a strange aftertaste.

I decided to stop by this place on my way out of town after hearing a lot of buzz about it. It's located in a business plaza, so it can be a bit tricky to find. Initially, there were plenty of flavoring options for drinks if you wanted to add any. I ordered an Iced Cookie Butter Latte, but unfortunately, it wasn't amazing. The espresso shot in my drink was quite bitter and not as smooth as I've experienced elsewhere. Sadly, I couldn't finish it and ended up tossing it. In my opinion, there are better options for lattes in the area. Service was okay. There was not medium size like the menu stated. They only have small or large now. Inside, there are plenty of tables and seating areas to enjoy your drink and have a nice conversation.

This cafe seems to be part of an office space, so it's really big and open with plenty of seating and outlets and even conference rooms. It has a large menu of drinks and even smoothies and come with protein powder included. I was surprised that it was so empty, because this place is great to work from. They have pastries too, but almost all of them ran out by the afternoon. There's plenty of parking. The staff is friendly. They open until 6:30 PM. The only thing I dislike is the country music, but that's nothing that my headphones can't fix. I'll definitely be back!

What a hidden gem!! I like to work from coffee shops to get out of the house and be more productive, but it's hard finding a place that isn't too loud and has enough seating with outlets. This place checks off all the boxes, including ample parking under shade lol. The coffee shop doesn't have a big sign outside but I just checked the address before walking in. The space is super spacious with plenty of seating (tons of outlets) and even some conference rooms (not sure if you have to reserve in advance) and great lifting! They have tons of coffee options, different flavors, a breakfast sandwich (my friend ordered one and it looked great) and cookies. They opened up about 4 months ago so it was pretty empty throughout the day which I personally didn't mind. It did get more traffic toward the afternoon. I wish it closed a bit later, currently closes at 4 but that's fine! I would highly recommend checking this place out if you're looking for good coffee or a nice place to work outside of your home.

I got the opportunity to try Pineview Coffee Company since I was around the area. It was a little hard to find, it is located with some office buildings and inside of the Aspen Lake Amenity and Conference Center building. There was a small sign at the front of the building which indicated to me that I was in the right place. The area inside of the building was perfect, there was a lot of natural light and plenty of spaces to sit and lounge around. When I arrived, there was one barista who was already working on multiple drink orders. She acknowledged me promptly, took my order and apologized for the current wait. I was hoping to grab a breakfast pastry but most of their breakfast items had already been sold out by the time I arrived at 11am. It was kind of a bummer but also understandable for how busy they were and how late it was. I ordered a holiday seasonal cookie latte. It was pretty good but a little lacking in flavor. The more I consumed the coffee, the more I realized that most of the flavor I was looking for was at the bottom of the cup. I wished the flavor was more uniform throughout. Overall this was a great new place that I want to try more of. I probably will make sure I stir my flavor lattes beforehand.

The Austin English Tea Company brings all of the aesthetics, ambiance, and flavors you'd expect in a proper British tea room. Spent a lovely Sunday Funday morning with friends celebrating Galentine's Day (albeit a day later) with fresh and yummy tea sandwiches, scones, clotted cream, mini, quiche, cream puffs, macarons, Prosecco, and more. We had four pots of tea: Classic English Breakfast, Earl Gray, Peach White, and Coconut Oolong. It goes without saying that the English Brekkie and Earl Gray were perfectly brewed and delicious. The Peach White and Coconut Oolong were also perfectly brewed. The Peach White was fragrant and flavorful. Same for the Coconut Oolong though it was more fragrant with a less robust flavor. Still delicious. The tea sandwiches were served on perfectly fresh and soft white bread. Cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches are always my favorite, without question. The Strawberry Devonshire Scone was to die for! I really enjoyed the heart-shaped Rosemary biscuit that had a hint of parmesean flavor as well. The apricot Stilton cheese was flavorful and exactly how you want a Stilton to taste. Service was outstanding. The decor was brilliant, absolute perfection. The entire experience was reminiscent of tea rooms I've visited in England and Ireland. Looking forward to another visit soon! Note: the tea room is located inside Michelle's Patisserie in a shopping plaza---once you enter the tea room you're totally transported to another time and place of elegance, tea, & sweets.

Finally, in the category of "Original Lattes in a Starring Role", it's Coffeyeh, once more! You really don't want to miss this award-winning venue. You'll have to GPS your way there, as it's tucked into a slip of a strip center up north. The space is not there to beer-bong your ears out with music-you-did-not-choose or to induce Cool Kids ennui that even caffeine can't reach. Rather, it's a room in which you might play chess, take your relationship to the next level, or ponder the secret meaning of freckles. And if you're dealing with sub-clinical depression--or just current events--you can order a generous slab of high-octane sweetness from their bakery cases and turn the smallest flicker of hope into a Roman candle! Exclamatory bonus points: A clever name! Middle Eastern hospitality! Outside seating for when the temps are below 105! A liberal loyalty program! Uncharted new coffee options to expand your horizons! The gentlemen who took our order (I was assuming was also the owner but did not confirm) was very kind and helpful in explaining their unique menu. They had tasty drinks and food items I have never seen before. My husband ordered the Spanish latte that came with two shots of espresso with creamy milk which hit the spot. My daughter ordered this very unique blue drink (caffeine free) I have never heard or seen before called Galaxy Milk Tea made with Butterfly Pea Flower Tea, Oat Milk and Vanilla syrup. It wasn't overly sweet once you mixed it together making it a tasty treat for the little ones. I ordered the strongest coffee they had called: Iced Molotoviatt that came with 4 shots of espresso infused with lightly sweetened condensed milk. I opted for no whipped cream. They had a delicious selection of pastries and goodies, which we did not order but looked decadent. The decor and artwork was also super cute and on point! We will definitely be returning.

I'm familiar with this Summer Moon coffee as it is across the street from my gym - Gold's Gym Cypress Creek. It is a bit tricky to get to as you have to go down to the light and make a left turn. Then you weave through the parking lot to reach the location. This Summer Moon has an extensive food offering - yogurt, sandwiches, breakfast biscuits, chips and assorted pastries. In addition, there is an assortment of coffee and teas. I ordered the hot latte with 1/4 moon milk (weaned myself from full moon milk). It was warm and soothing. Very good... Even though this wasn't our first visit, the cozy and welcoming atmosphere still made a great impression the moment we walked in. We ordered the decaf Half Moon coffee and the Matcha Moon, and wow--both were absolutely amazing once again. The flavors were smooth, comforting, and well-balanced. The sweetness was just about perfect for us--maybe slightly on the sweeter side--but in a way that felt indulgent rather than overwhelming. After a couple of visits now, it's safe to say we're officially fans. One thing that really stood out to me was the moon milk. It was beautifully prepared--soft, creamy, and not heavy at all. I usually don't do well with regular cow's milk, but this one sat perfectly fine with my stomach, which was a pleasant surprise and made the whole drink even more enjoyable. They offer both hot and cold options, which is great since you can enjoy their drinks no matter the season or your mood. Since it was a cold day, the warm drinks were especially comforting. We also tried a slice of their carrot cake, and it was delicious--moist, flavorful, and the perfect companion to our drinks. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, patiently explaining the menu and giving us great recommendations. Overall, it was another wonderful experience from start to finish. We'll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend stopping by and giving it a try. Cheers!

The vibe is laptops 100% Apparently this is the place to work. So no seating was available. But for today, I was dashing to an appointment anyway. Looked over their menu that was posted up on the wall. Decided on a chocolate mint drink. Could taste the chocolate, but there was no mint to the drink. Customer service was great. The cost of the drink with tip was $8.00. Drink wait time was just a couple minutes. Pretty quick. I didn't take pictures because I didn't want to get people's faces. But the inside was clean. All the seats along the wall were taking by laptop people. So wanted to give them their privacy. They do offer non caffeinated drinks. Maybe when the weather gets hotter I'll try one of those as a comparison.

What do you get when you cross Starbucks with mediocrity?…read more You get Black Rock Coffee Bar. Black Rock follows the Starbucks formula like a dedicated wannabe. The espresso is worse. Given the fact that Starbucks espresso is godawful ... That is an impressive accomplishment. * * * The interior decorating is far worse. To understand what is wrong with Black Rock's room design, You have to think a little bit about what interior decorating does for a retail restaurant chain. * * * Restaurants can either be energizing or calming. You want energizing if you are either selling fun or you need you need high turnover so you can sell high volume. A little kid pizza palace needs to be fun, so all the kids beg their parents to take them to your establishment. Fast food needs to be high turnover. You are selling burgers or whatever at very low margins. So you need those customers in the door then out the door so new ones can come in and buy more stuff. * * * The classic success story in energizing interior decorating is McDonald's. Never mind the arch part - although to be fair that was a touch of trademark defining genius. The bright lights, and the white red and yellow are tremendously energizing. You come in - you get peppy - you eat fast - you get out fast. * * * Starbucks is one of the great classics in calming interior decorating. Starbucks wants you to come in with your computer, or come in with a friend with whom you want to have a soulful conversation. In both cases, you will be staying there a long time. There is a little bit of a build the tab logic. If you stay there long enough, you will order a second drink or another snack. But mostly that tranquility is what made you come to Starbucks in the first place. You would not have had that writing session or that soulful conversation in a McDonalds. * * * How does Starbucks accomplish this visually? Their color scheme is one of the great accomplishments of corporate interior decorating. Natural woods. Light grays. Dark green accents. You slow down immediately on entering. * * * The Black Rock Interior Decorators missed the larger economic logic of what they are trying to accomplish. They decorated in energetic and perky ... With bright colors and and even brighter fluorescent lights. There is nothing visually mellow about Black Rock. The bright perky colors do what bright perky colors do. They make the customer feel energetic. So feeling energetic, I got up and left. * * * To be fair, having just drunk an awful espresso helped with the got up and left part. The caffeine made me energetic. The hating my coffee made me want to get out of there. That said, there was more to this than just the coffee. Starbucks espresso has just as much caffeine as does a Black Rock espresso. The room is what keeps you sitting in your chair. * * * I suspect their sweet and elaborate drinks are just fine. I did not have one so I do not know. But I go to coffee houses to get work done. The fact that I can get a Mocha Raspberry Figatooti for a beverage is a side point. There are lots of places that will sell me a Mocha Raspberry Figatooti. I go shopping for a room that will remove distractions and maximize my clarity of thought. Nothing maximizes your clarity of thought at a Black Rock Coffee.
