3-4/5 for food, but 5/5 for drinks and service!…read more We noticed this place always had a long line coming out the door, and finally getting the chance to go up the elevator to see the city from above, it's no wonder! Gorgeous views, energetic vibes, clean and modern interior. We went to the izakaya side to get a late night snack and drinks, and I am still dreaming about the drink that I got! It was that delicious. For drinks I got the melon & vodka (I asked the server which he recommended between that and the mango & amaretto and he instantly said the melon & vodka!) and it did not disappoint! So so good! I've been wanting to figure out how to make it at home. It was sweet, had a delicious honeydew flavor, and tasted nothing like alcohol -- just my type of drink. My bf got the passionfruit & bourbon and thought it was yummy, had great balance, and the spice was a nice touch. While our drinks were 10/10, our food was just okay. We got the Wagyu nigiri (good meat but not necessarily anything to write home about), agedashi aubergine (pass, tasted weirdly like whiskey), tuna sashimi (my favorite of the four; I enjoyed the added crisp from the topping), and miso chicken thigh (not bad but pretty salty). Great vibes, fun location, fantastic attentive service, top notch drinks, but passable food. I kept wanting to go back just to get that melon & vodka!

We were so excited for this omakase and I really wanted to love it but just can't give it a high…read morerating. Maybe I expected too much for an omakase in Scandinavia. I did really like how quick the meal was - all over and done with in essentially 90 minutes. Also appreciated the no-fuss casual setting, and the chefs all had humor. Now getting to the food - the courses were very small and most were just okay. We left not full which to me is an issue for a Michelin rated restaurant. The skill sets were also not entirely there for a supposed top notch sushi restaurant. Several of our sushi pieces had rice falling apart from the mold, which is a huge no no. If you are very versed in sushi would not recommend this. However, if you are new to a mikae, this could be a good experience.

The reviews on this place seem all over the place. But for me, I thought it was very good. As of…read morethe time of this review, Sushi Sho still holds its Michelin star. Coming from NYC, I have access to superb sushi, so when when my friends wanted to come here I have to admit I was not overly eager using a meal in Sweden that I thought I could get back home. However, I am totally glad I came! The omakase was excellent. Appreciated that Chef Ishizaki is still the main person behind the bar and assembling most of the nigiri and dishes. There are plates/dishes mixed in, so not just sushi pieces. The cured egg yolk was fabulous. Wonderful sake list, and you can opt for a pairing if you like. At the end you can add on extras (notably otoro, which is not part of the regular omakase) - it was great, as they prepared it three different ways. A very decadent way to end the meal. Majority of seats are at the bar, but they have one elevated table along the window with a view of the restaurant (kind of like stadium seating). We actually sat here, and loved it. There's more room, next to the window, but still relatively close to the sushi counter. We had a dedicated server who was absolutely fabulous. Reservations are needed.
