What an amazing lunch!…read more I'll start by saying I have been to Olazzo before, but today's lunch was special. I was introducing my girlfriend and my mom to each other. The host was so friendly and helped get us seated in a booth, and very shortly after seating we were greeted by our server Josh. Josh was very polite, and I felt good vibes before the food ever hit the table. He recommended their special, a trout on pasta dish. The entree had a very generous portion of fish, and our server made sure to drop off everything we needed to accompany our food, extra cheese, water refills, he was attentive and took great care of us. Next time I dine at Olazzo, I'm going to be looking for Josh!

Sunday February 15th 4:00pm…read more I normally don't include personal feelings when reviewing. This is an exception. We were in the area and decided to try this spot. Hostess, gentleman who seated us, and our server were wonderful. The food wasn't the best ever but it was good. We decided to give it a shot despite low customer ratings. We are Black Americans. When we walked in I picked up on a negative vibe but dismissed it. When you walk into a small establishment and it get's quiet or you get the looks turn and no one speaks turn around and leave. There were a few people at the bar chatting up staff (regulars). As we walked by the bar headed to the table I glanced over to the what clearly was the person in charge. I smiled no response. We eat, I head to the ladies restroom. I passed the same gentleman who, again looked directly at me, I smiled and he turned his head. I passed by him on the way back to the table. I specifically looked him the face and smiled. He looked at me and again turned his head blatantly. We are aware of prejudice so I didn't let him get under my skin. I smile and speak to anyone and am happy to do so whether it is reciprocated. It takes negative energy to be mean spirited. Willing to take our money but refuse to acknowledge us as paying customers. We spent quite a bit for two people. I will not recommend this place if it was the last Italian restaurant. To the owners- I could not tell if you were the person I encountered today or a manager. Either way- Just Wow.

Thank you to Caruso's Grocery for hosting my granddaughter's 16th birthday dinner. A huge shout out…read moreto Patrick, the event coordinator from Caruso's who helped me in every aspect of planning this special event. The food was delicious. The group was given a choice of appetizers: meatballs, basil and tomato caprese salad, dinner salad, or garlic bread. Each of the appetizers were better than the next. The girls shared the meatballs, garlic bread, and caprese salad. Thank you to our server for bringing out gluten free bread for one of our guests with a gluten allergy. Our main dishes was the shrimp scampi, which was full of flavor and so tasty. There were several of us who ordered the shrimp scampi and you could hear a chorus of oohs and aah's. We loved every bite. I am pleased to share that Caruso's has gluten free pasta for guests with gluten allergies. And, the gluten free pasta was scrumptious. The birthday girl had chicken parmigiana and a side of spaghetti. She really enjoyed her meal. Another, guest had the penne pasta and she loved hers too. There portions were very generous. We also had a guest order the Caesar salad with shrimp. It came out with dressing, when the dressing was supposed to be on the side, but our waiter was quick to remedy that. The ambiance is lovely and reminds me of my grandmother's home in Little Italy. It is old world Italian with comfortable seating. I know it was a busy night, but the one fly in our ointment was our server. There was too much of a lag between courses, and main dishes came out of the kitchen at different times. Also, our gluten free guest had to sit and watch while others ate cake because her ice cream sundae was no where to be found. It finally made it to the table, but I felt badly for this young lady. I know our server was swamped with guests. Hopefully, next time a large party is on the schedule, they can lighten the load for that server. All of the girls had a good time including the birthday girl. So, I am reminded of the saying, it all works out in the end. Thank you, Caruso's.

Food was very good! To start, we tried the Garlic Bread Quattro Formaggi which was so flavorful they even had fresh garlic inside the bread. We got two pasta dishes: Chicken Parmigiana and Spicy Neapolitan Ragu, both generous portions, very well flavored and overall delicious! Our cocktails were great too. Tried the Lemon Ricota Donuts--they were just okay, a bit too doughy for my preference.

Amazing place for a cozy, elevated dining experience!…read more First, they definitely nailed the retro-style ambiance. I liked how moody and refined the decor was, with the dark wood accents and super dim lighting, almost like I was transported to a secret lounge in the middle of Pike & Rose. Second, our server was very prompt to greet us once seated. He was patient and attentive as this was our first time and asked for recommendations. For appetizers, we got a seasonal burrata with strawberries, cherry tomatoes, and jalapeños served with sourdough, and a separate order of wood-fired meatballs. The burrata was delicious, with a satisfying combination of fresh, sweet and spicy, and the meatballs were cooked to perfection! Our main meal included the bouboulina salad (with pecans, dates, and pears), the Maryland crab cake, the smash burger, and the wagyu picanha, all to share. Their standout was definitely the picanha since it was so flavorful and paired well with the flavors of the salad. I would definitely visit again for a special occasion :)

Place is so nicely decorated and very quiet during lunch. Our server, wish I remember his name, was the best. I think he was floored I was dining with my twin brother. lol. Always came to check in with us and refilled our drinks and was very charming. The food we had was cooked so well with great seasoning, I couldn't have been happier. I had steak the other night so I stuck with fish this time and it was flavorful with lots of butter too. Mashed potatoes was so creamy and tasty and buttery. It's almost like a puree. My brother had a steak and was cooked to his liking with a great char too. Highly recommend this new steakhouse; I believe it's from the Cava brothers who has two other restaurants in the same shopping complex.
