    Robichaux's Place

I was invited to an event at my friend's apartment community catered by Robichaux's Place…read more The weather has been disgusting in the Woodlands area and they still came out and set up out under a covered portion of the pool area -- so very nice that they didn't cancel. Ricky is such a gracious host! The tables had been covered in newspaper and, when it hit 6 pm sharp, he spread out the freshly cooked crawfish, potatoes, and corn in front of us and told us to dig in! As we ate, Ricky and Beth (along with the CARES team for the apartments -- shout out to Rachel and Zach!) walked around to make sure everyone had waters to drink, clean napkins, and also helped clear away the crawfish already devoured. Check out my photos to see how LARGE these suckers were! Everyone was able to get huge chucks of meat from the tails and claws before moving on to the next bug. Our table even had some crawfish eatin' pros sucking out the heads and nodding approval to the rest of us not as brave :p I thought everything was seasoned perfectly (I can't handle most spicy items- these had a nice kick!) but there were those around me wishing their portions were spicier. This was a family event, though, and it was nice the kids were able to enjoy it, too, since it was on the mild side. Robichaux's Place is new to town and I say definitely worth snagging for your next event - He does more than crawfish, too!

If you want the best look no further than this great team of food and party experts. Not only are their culinary creations the most awesome you will ever taste, but the party instantly becomes a very special event. The presentations and attention to detail and the personal service to our guests is something you just cannot find these days with big the corporate catering companies. Candy sat down and worked out the menus and made suggestions that we never would have dreamed of. You can tell the minute they set and start to work that these folks love what they do and it shows in every aspect of their work. We were blown away and will be coming back to Candy and Pierre for our next event. In fact we are trying to come up with an idea for another party just so we can do it all again. I just catered breakfast for a family event with 20 people and spend $442 (including tip/delivery)…read more The food was mediocre and the portions were so small. I ordered "The Convention" breakfast which was "Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Breakfast Potatoes and Buttermilk Biscuits" - it came with literally 20 tiny sausage patties and biscuits total. So one tiny sausage and biscuit per person. I didn't count the bacon but it was a similarly stingy portion. No one had more than two pieces. The eggs were bland. The potatoes were actually good. But overall, it was so embarrassing to have the food show up and it be these tiny trays of hardly any food for over $400. I would have been better off ordering individual dishes for each person from a local restaurant. I thought with the high Yelp and Google reviews I saw, this would be a safe bet! I also ordered a 20 mini pastries for $3.25 each which were like pastries you get at a 7/11. At least if you are overcharging, let the food be good and not like you unwrapped pastries from a Costco haul. Worst of all was the coffee which was watered down and disgusting. Everyone threw theirs out so I just dumped it. What an utter waste of money. Also they only sent 8 cups with the coffee even though the breakfast was for 20. Stingy and bland all around. If you are catering for a small group, please save yourself the trouble and embarrassment and just order takeout from a local restaurant. I wish I took pictures of the spread but I was just too upset. All I took was the coffee which you can tell even from the picture was watery. ***The menu listed the items but didn't say only 1, 1oz piece of bacon per person - that's absolutely absurd for a normal breakfast portion. Who would cater one piece of bacon per person?
