I have stoped at this gas station many times for both gas and food. They do have great chicken, but the employees that work there are among the rudest and most unfriendly I have encountered. Don't know when things changed, because it used to be a friendlier place, but the last few times I was in left a lot to be desired.
I know I'm not a "local" but getting a smile, a "thank you" or at least some eye contact would be a great improvement over the crabby "ya" I got when I I SAID "thank you" for the service of getting a damn stamp on my Brewer Card! The woman working just seemed pissed to be doing her job!
A few weeks ago I stopped in to bring some chicken home on a Friday Night. The woman working that night told be I could not substitute (even for an extra charge) an extra breast instead of another piece. Her reason was that on Fridays they didn't allow changes to chicken meals. I guess it's a busy night for chicken and fish, so I could understand..... except, the guy in front of me ordered 2 single chicken breast with no questions asked! I was also confused because the chicken breasts were pulled up in abundance in the display warmer at the checkout.
Maybe if she would have expanded nicely that there is a rule or concern about having enough chicken on busy nights, I would have been understanding. Instead I was treated like a was an ass for questioning. This worker continued her unhappy snit while she checked out my purchase.
A few miles up the road there is another gas station and place to get chicken, I think I will be taking my business to a place that values out of town customers business, and have the ability to smile, look at me, or say "thank you" even if they don't know me! read more
