For starters, we had Shetland Island Mussels "Marinière" and had Roasted Rump of Lamb & Rib Eye for our main course which, was done as per our request medium rare. The food was truly out of this world and is a "must have" when visiting this place and goes perfectly with Argentina (Pinot Noir). Overall, food and service was excellent. The dining area is floor to celling glass so everyone gets a good view. The service was absolutely abominable. For want of a better word the waiters were 'snooty' and very unobliging. We were a party of five. Myself and three others arrived first. We were asked weather we wanted to sit at the bar or go straight to the table, so we opted to go to the table. The Waiter then proceeded to put the menu's on the table, walk away and never come back. No offer of drinks while we wait, it took me to get up and get a waiter to be served some drinks. When the rest of our party arrived, exactly the same thing happened. After we finally had our drinks we started browsing the menu. The Waiter then appeared again to tell us the kitchen was closing in 15 minutes so we needed to order now! I enquired later as to why you would take a booking for 5 at a time when the kitchen was about to close and the received the response of "most of our patrons order quickly"....... The final nail in the coffin for the evening was the fact that we were offered no choice of desert and then were rudely ushered off the table so they could clear away. We headed down to the bar and an hour later I noticed the same table was still unoccupied. So avoid the Wharf like the plague. The location at Teddington lock is lovely but you will be treated like you're a nuisance, not a paying customer. I hope this review has help steer you off the idea of having dinner at the Wharf.

The parsnips were simple yet nice, the Yorkshire pudding was large and fresh tasting and again, not too dry. The greens were without problems. The only thing I had an issue with was the roast potatoes, which were rather hard & starchy, not terrible, just could be better, besides I still are them. I opted not to have the red cabbage out of personal preference but it looked nice. Overall, I enjoyed the visit and the food was great, not only is the place nicely designed, but it manages to feel cozy even with a modern style, which is difficult to pull off. As it's right by the Thames Barrier you can get a lovely view from both outdoors and indoors due to the large windows. 10/10 would definitely come again.

The barkeep continued to ignore him. It was only when he CALLED the pub that we found out they had decided to stop serving food at 6pm. As we sat at the table and searched Yelp to find a restaurant that would serve us, the kitchen manager walked out and said the cook noticed we had a menu. He said they were out of everything but steak. We left the glaring waitstaff and rude barkeep and walked a short way to The Cuckfield. The service was delightful and the food was wonderful.
