A small women's clothing boutique close in the Penn/Drexel area has big style! The sales girl was super nice and helpful. The boutique owner is also a personal stylist so the clothes and accessories are well curated. A lot of the clothing is geared to the college age but there's many pieces appropriate for all ages. There's accessories too and table display with stylish jewelry. The owner sells new items from her personal stylist business at 30% off. There's also a 50% off sale rack. The dressing rooms are a good size, well lit and have a chair. The boutique is a good addition to this area of mostly chain stores. read more

I walked in to buy something for an upcoming interview - just browsing. The shopkeeper (white female) was on her phone on speaker. Her conversation partner said something about coronavirus, the shopkeeper responded with laughter about how we're "all going to get it" to which her friend responded "maybe it'll kill off half the chinese ... we couldn't get them with Hiroshima or whatever" (this happened a couple minutes ago so I remember it well). Great curated options here and friendly people. However, I do have to say that there is a significant mark up. I looked up one of the brands and found the same item I bought retailing for $20 less and there was an additional 20% off promotion with free shipping on the brand's website. On my way to work I stopped in one day, and fell in love with this little shop. I met the owner when it first opened and she was so adorable I had to tell all my friends about the great boutique and super sweet owner! Clothing & accessories are reasonably priced, and super fashionable. It is geared a little more towards the early college 20's instead of the more career oriented mid-to late 20 somethings. -- but in general there is a little something for everyone. My big CONS are the dressing rooms, very small and no mirrors-- I hate hearing everyone's commentary when I come out ecsp. when there is a line for the dressing room and I need a few minutes to look and think about it... there have been multiple times I have decided against an outfit cause it was too much pressure and I couldn't make decision with two girls staring at me... staring at myself. Also, I really wish they had online shopping available. For a store that has three locations I am very surprised they are not more technologically advanced. A friend and I headed in here one day after dinner to look around, and we were greeted by very friendly service... and wine! It seems like this boutique is trying to go for a "shopping with friends" sort of image, and it works. There are so many cute items in the store, many of which are rotated nearly daily on their mannequins. Most of the items are for "going out," and are of course marketed toward the Penn undergrads. I would've liked to see more variety within the store, although I do understand that they would want to target the Penn demographic. Of the pieces I did really like, there were only one or two items left that weren't in my size. Although I walked out empty-handed this time, I will certainly be back the next time the mannequins catch my eye! Hopefully I'll be able to find something reasonably priced in my size. read more

I spotted this store walking by and the window display caught my eye. This has very quickly become one of my favorite stores. The employees are super sweet and honest. Also I try to only shop there because of the quality clothing and unique items. I went there for a dress for a very special event I was attending and I've never seen anyone with this dress and it was a hit. I feel that same way every time I buy clothes here. Oh and the other comments about the mirrors, I like the idea that you have to come out to view yourself. You get honest feedback, because after all, you do have to wear the clothes in front of people if you buy it, why not get immediate opinions. My yoga classes were bringing me to UCity far more often than in the past year, and one gloriously bright and sunny day I was in such a good mood that I decided to walk around the area instead of running straight home. On my way to Starbucks I spotted a cute dress in the window of Piper Boutique and decided to quickly pop in - amazing how being in a good mood makes you more amenable to the idea of spending $$. Thankfully (for my wallet), they didn't have the dress in my size - but they did have an adorable sales girl who was very friendly and nice, and we chatted as I browsed. I still ended up buying two things, a chain link shoulder bag and simple gold bracelet. Since they had a store wide sale going on, it was hard to just say no to everything there. They have lots of cute styles, similar to Urban Outfitters but a bit more feminine, and their prices are reasonable, and comparable to other boutiques who carry similar brands in CC. The shopping in this area is a bit sparse, so be sure to check them out! read more

I went to Piper today after ages just to check out their collection. I wasn't expecting to find anything that I would like or that would fit me decently because the last few times I'd been here I was so disappointed. The collection I found today was so great that I ended up picking three tops! Also, special shout out to the girl who was at the reception. I was at Piper for a good hour trying out tons of new clothes and the girl was there to help me pick and select! She was really all over and looked after each and very person who walked in the same way. I have never been this happy with Piper's customer service. I preferred DFTI over Piper but now I def will be going to this boutique more often! Piper Boutique is amazing!!! I love this store! Carli who is a manager and buyer is especially incredible. She picked out so many wonderful outfits that I wouldn't have thought of. She suggested these amazing jeans that I never would have tried on but are amazing. I think theyre called Kancan? Basically, they pick very unique items that are great pieces for your closet. Several of my friends work at the Philadelphia location, so I stop in from time to time. Cute dresses, wonky sizing. I am a U.S. 10 or so and I often have a hard time finding dresses that fit. Last time I was in Piper, I tried on 14 dresses and rompers and not a single one fit. I don't really recommend looking for clothes in Piper if you're above an 8. This is a super cute little boutique. I walk by it all the time between work and school, and finally stopped in. I was surprised by how inexpensive everything is - I was expecting high prices! But the clothes, jewelry, etc are reasonably priced. Anything that's a bit more seems worth it for the price, like leather handbags. The girls that work in the shop are all really nice and helpful. Just made my first purchase from Piper and I will definitely be back for more! Great variety and quality of merchandise. Sizing can be a little different than your normal store due to the variety of brands sold, but size ain't nothin but a number. They only got 4 stars instead of 5 because a lot of their dresses are backless and that doesn't work for my body. Piper just opened between Upenn and Drexel and was SOOOO needed in university city. I am actually from where there original store is so i was shocked when they randomly opened in philly . The prices are great, the staff is really helpful, and they hand select everything so you know you are getting something not everyone has. I am in a sorority and I like knowing I have something different and unique without having to search all over. They carry a lot of online brands for less money . I have gotten some cool vintage accessories there too. read more
