This was super fun. The servers dressed like pirates. We came in pretty early on a Friday and it was empty. We got there for a really late lunch, 3pm. We celebrated a birthday. (They sing a sea shanty) The food was surprisingly good. The cocktails were more like tiki bar, that is to say very sweet. Not really my style, but some people love the sweet island, tiki, cruise style drinks. I liked it. I would like to try it when it was busy. Really pretty on the inside. I would go again. It is a bit expensive for what it is.

All the staff were friendly and checked in regularly, so we never felt neglected. All the food we ordered was so yummy. My husband and I both got seafood combos. The atmosphere was so neat too. There's even some board games available and a big connect 4 game in the corner where i saw a family having fun together. I've driven by the place so many times and didn't realize how good it would be. It sadly didn't have too many people inside. Which is such a shame. This place deserves more customers. I would recommend eating here. We will definitely be going back.

We passed by this restaurant and just had to stop by. The atmosphere was great. I love the pirate themed meals and scenery. The owner came by to talk to us and gave us the history of the restaurant. He was great!

This themed restaurant is a lot of fun but the food is very good also. They don't rely on the well thought out decor but back it up with delicious food and generous portions. This is a great place for lids but adults get to enjoy a great meal and some cool "grog". As noted by others, drinks are a little pricey but not really put of line for The Woodlands area. Last night the host was in full pirate garb which added to the effect. We started with crabcakes which were good but not outstanding Mains were the grilled catfish, which was really excellent and the Captains Pie which was really flavorful and eon the evening. Service was solid and the ambience is nice.

I'm not a photographer but this place is definitely a MUST try. Everything is fresh and hot when it reaches the table. Burger is freshly grilled. Macaroni and cheese is something you can dip with chips the flavor. This place gives many local spots a run for their money. We popped in on a random Saturday night with a family of 8, 3 kids and 5 adults. Accommodations were excellent. Quality is unbeatable it's home cooked. You have to try it.

Well, I have been driving past Pirates Paradise since they took over from Herb and Beet. Tonight, the Missis and Quesadilla Girl went in for a meal. The floor staff was very inviting and the interior was warm to contrast the cool January night. I ordered a Kona Big Wave beer and it is one of the better lagers I have imbibed lately ... I prefer ales, but this is a good body and crisp finish. The table is ample, chairs are well apportioned to my big backside and the overall ambiance is not really akin to a pirate cove, but more like a finer dining place. Our appetizer was the Pirate Skins (6.99) and were cheesy and bacony enough. I just wish it was a little thinner on the taters and a lot more on the bacon. I ordered their Thursday Special - half rack ribs with two sides ... I chose creamed spinach and country green beans. My meal was listed at $19.99. This may be a good deal for the price. When it arrived my reaction was "Holy moly," this was FREAKING TREMENDOUS! The ribs fell off of the bone easier than a pornstar gets themself undressed. The sauce they use is sweet and tangy as well as a slight bark on the ribs. My chosen sides were very grandmaesque in presentation and were full of flavor. The green beans stole the show for me and the creamed spinach came in a close second. Quesadilla Girl had the pulled pork sammie and my Wife enjoyed one of the best Monte Cristo's she has ever had. I highly recommend this place for the food alone. Fridays features Karaoke, at least this week and live music this Saturday. Overall, the price is above average on the higher end of the scale, but the portion sizes sate the carnivore in me, so it was worth the money. Come by and see how the Jolly Roger feeds you.

Stopped here for an early dinner on a Tuesday afternoon for a neat pirate experience. No one wears pirate attire (sadly) but no worries because my friend and I brought some from her home. We were seated quickly and orders were taken quickly as well. We actually had to have our friendly server give us more time to look at the menu since we were so excited about the decor in general! I ordered a burger with bacon and it was phenomenal. Cooked medium and tasted delicious! The portions here are huge! My son got a kids meal and it was plenty, I had to split my burger in half and save half for home (it was just as delicious warmed up, by the way). I'd definitely come back here.

Ambiance: Pirate themed restaurant with a patio dining area, interior dining area, and bar! The bar is absolutely amazing - made from resin & driftwood with fun ocean/pirate themed items throughout. The bar area is definitely a highlight of the restaurant and so unique. The pirate theme is well-maintained throughout the restaurant, with some staff dressed up and fun novelty art/items scattered around to look at. Seafood, hot dogs/burgers, and other classic dishes available to order. Pirate themed cocktails & fun beers available like Kona Big Wave. We enjoyed dining at the bar! This is the perfect spot to celebrate summer, have a birthday, or just switch up the vibe. Great for birthdays, family dinners, themed parties, a unique date night, or solo dining at the bar. The food was really good. The grilled shrimp were seasoned well. The bbq burger was delicious (a bit messy to eat). We were asked to move down to accommodate another family and the restaurant comped us a free dessert - so the service is really great and the staff wants to ensure a fun dining experience. A bit on the pricey side for cocktails and some of the menu items, however the aesthetic and unique atmosphere is worth it. Onsite parking. Friendly staff & clean interior. We did find the tv placement being on a wall behind our seats at the bar a bit strange for anyone wanting to watch, but this felt like the type of place you go for the experience and not to watch tv! We will definitely be going back - fun theme & great time!

    Pork shank

This place certainly commits to its pirate's theme in decor, furniture and costuming. Life sized statues of pirates and their companions start appearing in the parking lot of the bright blue building and continue their way onto the walls and ceilings in the brightly lit dining room. The ceiling beams are adorned with sails and staff all wear pirate attire. Lots of thought went into interior design. Would the food be as brilliant? We started our meal with an appetizer cleverly named an island planks. Essentially this was a crostini with arugula, beef, goat cheese and a drip of balsamic vinegar glaze. Tasty. Score one for the appetizers. For mains we had the orange salmon and the pork shank. The orange salmon dish came with your choice of two sides and we opted for Brussels sprouts and onion rings. The fish was cooked well and the orange flavor enhanced it. Sprouts were flavorful and quickly eaten. Onion rings battered and crisp. The pork shank was utterly craveable. Charred yet tender and sitting on a bed of silky mashed potatoes swimming in onions, mushrooms and what is billed as a gravy but read more Au jus, this is a dish worth returning for. The menu is expansive and runs the gamut from hot dogs to seafood. Not as clearly aligned with the pirate theme, it has options for all.

    Captain's pie

We were curious about this place so we stopped by for lunch today. We were unsure what to expect but the servers were very friendly, the chairs are super comfortable, and all the food was delicious. We ordered the Captain's Pie (shepherd's pie), All Hands on Deck with a side of onion rings and hush puppies, clam chowder, captains club sandwich and the kid's Mac & cheese with chicken with a side of buttered corn. The service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Gave us great recommendations of their most popular dishes. All the food was delicious. The club sandwich and the onion rings were some of the best we've ever had. Our toddler loved the buttered corn and the mac & cheese with chicken. We were a little overwhelmed with how big the menu was, but really you can't go wrong because they seem to have an excellent cook. Can't wait to come back and try more of their seafood.

My husband and I were running errands and looking for somewhere to have lunch. We have driven by this spot many times and have always been intrigued. We looked up their menu online and decided to give it a try. The interior is spacious and they have legit dining tables and chairs like you are at someone's house. The severs were dressed in low key pirate style clothes - but not full on on costumes. I thought it was pretty neat . I wasn't in the mood for fish, and opted for a chili dog which did not disappoint. Their fries were great as well. We started with their jalapeno poppers which I thought were a bit heavier on the cream cheese, but still good. The dipping sauce was a nice touch as well. My husband loves catfish - so that's what he got. He was obsessed with the batter and said it was perfectly cooked and crispy. The huh puppies were a tad mushy, but still ok. The onion rings were really good though. We both said we would definitely be back and were impressed with the portions and the service. This is a super fun spot, and refreshingly different!!

Out and about and decided to support their Monday test opening. They did not disappoint! Everything was so good. Waitress was very attentive. Will be back for chicken fried steak Friday!

Best fried chicken I've had. Tender, seasoned right. Just yum! The clam chowder is delicious here too!

Sadly, it closed shortly after my visit. But I read in the reviews that this was formerly a Burrito District, so I didn't even realize this was the former Ori'Zaba's until I walked in. So apparently this spot has struggled to keep one concept for whatever reason. The interesting thing about Wise Street Eats is that you can opt to build a healthy bowl with Greek inspirations, or you can do what I did and order the Dirty Mac bowl with fried chicken, mac-n-cheese and cajun fries. I'm a real sucker when restaurants put "Most Popular" on their menu, which made my decision to order this, a quick one. What I will say is that, while I enjoyed the Dirty Mac, in retrospect, I would have preferred if it was a side dish, rather than my entire meal, because it was quite heavy (as one would expect). About halfway through it, I realized I was going to have to bring the energy to take down this valiant opponent. Next time, I'll build a bowl. Or maybe even go with a burger. But I do appreciate the dirty mac and if I was still a man who got hungover, I'd consider it a pretty elite hangover remedy.

Somehow, someway, it seems to never work out for me. But it finally happened and I'm mad at myself that it took so long. Probably 2+ years ago a friend and I were at a local sub shop in Sugar Land, and he mentioned how Blimpie was always his favorite. I couldn't even remember if I'd ever been to a Blimpie, but I saw that there happened to be one, so I bookmarked it on that day, and it haunted me ever since. Blimpie cares not about decor or vibes, but they do make an absolutely incredible sandwich. The menu is unique, in that each sandwich is basically just one ingredient different than the sandwich above it. I opted for the Blimpie Best Deluxe on parmesan bre The bread was pillowy soft. The flavor of the sandwich was absolute perfection. It somehow got better each bite. I could not believe how much I liked it and how sad I was when it was over. It will probably torment me indefinitely that I didn't order the larger sandwich. I will prevail. And I will visit again. My question though, is very simply: why did Blimpie almost completely go away? It's light years better than Subway.

I used to eat it daily back when a full meal was $4.99, and I've even had Subway in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. So yes, I have a calibrated palate for mass‑market sandwiches. They've got a handful of subs on special, but for a couple bucks more I went with my usual Italian--here called the "Italiano"--on Cheddar Jalapeño bread. And of course I did the footlong because size does matter. I asked for it toasted, only to discover they use a panini press, which flattens the bread like a stress test. Not my favorite. Ironically, I used to love Blimpie's oven‑style toast before Subway even offered it. They do have a separate oven for melting cheese, and that part I absolutely recommend. The sandwich itself was very good and definitely in Subway territory. For $1.29 you can grab a self‑serve cookie--critical, because I can select the front‑row cookie with the maximum chip‑to‑dough ratio. Fresh daily, solid flavor, very Subway‑adjacent. But I still prefer Subway's footlong cookie. It's a personality trait at this point. Staff was extremely friendly. I'm pretty sure the owner was working the counter, unless a gentleman of his seniority just enjoys staying busy or needs the cash, which is increasingly common these days. Honestly, that personal touch is probably what gives this place an edge over Subway. Pepsi products here. Acceptable, but I'm a Coke person. Blimpie is becoming an endangered species, even though it predates Subway by a year. But overall, I still think Subway has the stronger product.
