Awesome beach with black'ish sand. One finds really good surf a bit less dangerous than the beaches…read morein the North. When you sit out on the water the view back to the land is super nice! The surf is interesting as there seem to be 2 sandbanks. One furthers outside and one closer to the Beach. I have seen people catching waves on both. I wasn't able to catch waves at the beach but outside there were some really nice waves! The beach is pretty long has plenty of space, lifeguard, toilet & shower and a small store. There is parking directly at the beach but it's a bit outside of cities etc. There is/was a tiny area for swimming as well but this Beach seems to be mostly about water sport (Surf and Bodyboarding)

The beach has no charge to lay your towel and belongings down to enjoy the sand and water. There is a free bathroom and outdoor shower area near the endo of the strip between the parking lots and the sand. The beach sand is nice but can be hot on the feet so water shoes are helpful. The further away from the entrance, there is better parking. The water was a little rough on the day I visited so it was not very clear but it was nice because there were very few rocks and no issues with sea creatures. There are chairs and umbrellas for rent and a few palm trees to get some shade underneath.

I entered on east side where I passed a great small sidewalk cafe. (Travel tip- public restrooms here.). I wandered counter clockwise through paths lined with various flowers and trees. Spaces with fountains, ponds and statues. There were people walking dogs, joggers, photographers, and those just reading on the park bench. All enjoying life and the surroundings. It was winter and beautiful, I can only imagine how fabulous this park is in the summer with the large trees providing lots of shade from the sun.

The fountain in the center of the park makes a nice rainbow in the sunlight that is just a nice addition when taking in the views.
