After placing an order, I called the next day to confirm delivery. They remembered taking the order but could not find it in their system and were asking me if they had been delivered! They spent 15 minutes on the phone with us to basically tell us they had to check and find out if the flowers had been delivered - which of course they had not. Ordered flowers to be delivered to very close friends of mine this past Thursday. Spoke with one of my friends today Saturday and they had not mentioned that they had received anything from me. Needless to say flowers were not delivered so I called the store and spoke with the girl who took the order and she was worse than useless! Totally incompetent and lacking any customer service skills! I find out that she did not send the order and she had written down the credit card # wrong despite having it in her hands it's not like I read wrong to her. So she ripped up the order along with the card that I had written to be sent with the flowers. When I aked her what she planned in doing she basically said she could nothing as it was out of her control. I asked why she did not contact the client who they were going to she that's not their policy as she had not taken my number down. So very angry and frustrated the flowers did look nice in the store when I was in but they need to do something about customer service training. I have 2 sets of friends who use them on a frequent basis I do plan on letting them know my experience. Need to find another florist in Miami. read more

I grew up in Miami Beach and have loved looking in the windows of pistils and petals since I was a little kid so I hate having to write this. Over a week ago, my fiancé ordered flowers to my office. It's 7:30 pm and the flowers that were ordered still have yet to arrive after multiple phone calls throughout the day. On the calls, there were no apologies and no assurances. First I have to say I have been admiring the window displays at this shop since I moved here to south beach. I look forward to each time they display the next "piece of art work" I finally went to see what they had to offer. I left with a beautiful succulent arrangement which looks beautiful centered in my living room. The quality and the service was amazing and look forward to my next purchase, which will most likely be for myself! The flower arrangement I ordered was not what I received... I don't mind paying their prices and their delivery fee but for what they charge I expected the flowers to be as pictured specially when I'm the website says "as shown" but it was very disappointing when that wasn't the case. I recommend getting flowers elsewhere probably at a better price and won't trick you with the picture. read more

Unfortunately, Pistils and Petals offers beautiful flowers and horrible customer service. As a thank you to a local donor, I ordered a double orchid delivery to her home. She never received it. I called them and asked for an explanation and a redelivery if the same item, but they took no ownership of the mistake, simply saying that it was delivered and it's not our fault. Instead of saying, "we are so sorry for this mistake, please let us make it right," they merely said that the owner must be mistaken. Miami is known for poor service, so this example is just par for the course. I will never use Pistils and Petals again and highly discourage anyone else from wasting their money. read more

Most awful customer service ever! My family buys flowers from them at almost every occasion, but this particular fathers day i places an order for a specific arrangement that contained peonies. When my dad received his bouquet, not only it didn't include the flower that was specified, the color scheme was an ugly yellow instead of the magenta online. It looked like a 1-800 flowers arrangement. I called to have them replace it, but they told me that online it specifies if they don't have peonies they are allowed to substitute...wrong!!!!! online it says that if peonies aren't in season, which they are, they can substitute. All in all an awful experience, they didn't want to refund me the $200 for that mediocre arrangement, nor they offered to replace it. Will never use them again, there are so many other choices and so many other places that would love my money. #stayaway read more

Four years later and they still suck. I was supposed to be sent flowers from them for my birthday and they never came. While I never received the flowers, the person sending them was still charged for them. How a florist does not comprehend the principal that flowers being ordered for a specific delivery date need to actually be delivered on that date I will never understand, but it has happened to me twice now, four years apart. Run, run far away from these crooks. Truly the worst customer service. Oh and thank you Pistils & Petals for making sure that I did not receive flowers for my 30th birthday. It is unfortunate that I have to give a star at all. My wonderful husband sends me flowers for all the major events in our life (anniversary, Valentine's Day) and even the not so major (green hydrangeas on St Patrick's Day!) and uses Pistils & Petals to do so on most occasions. We have had a rocky relationship with them in the past- late deliveries mostly but yesterday took the cake and today's interaction with them was worse. Full disclosure, we did get a refund. Flowers were supposed to be delivered before 2pm, when I was leaving- guaranteed over two weeks ago. They blamed the VERY late delivery (that someone else in my office will now enjoy I guess because we are on vacation) on rain and an accident on Alton. Well, that may be acceptable if I did not work across the street from them, yes, right across the street. When my husband repeatedly called yesterday, they would not answer the phone. Today, it took three hours to get someone on the phone and when she spoke with my husband no apology, many excuses and, a statement that they were "the best florist around." Really? That is what you tell an unhappy customer? Anyway, I can tell by all the other reviews that I am not the only one who is shocked and upset that they treat their customers this way. It is a wonder that they are still in business, they will not be getting ours anymore. read more

I used to purchase all my arrangements here for both my home and office functions; private dinners at restaurants south of 5th. The prices always kept going up, the service was inconsistent and I found many of the floral designers condescending and patronizing. I finally cut the cord. Tonight I found out I need an arrangement for a dear friend tomorrow. Since it has been a while and I need an arrangement for tomorrow delivered nearbyI thought I might give them another try. After reading the reviews I remembered how I always had felt -- which is substantiated by their website. These people only want large corporate clients. That is their market and that is who they care about. Do yourself a favor as I am right now and go elsewhere. Give the people who care about customer service before there is a problem your business. I don't want a refund. I don't want you to be reactive, but proactive. I want you to care and do it right. This is not the place and don't take the chance. You can see how many unsatisfied customers there are. You can also see the answers provided by the store to the reviews; an answer for everything; the customer didn't say it was a business, Did you ask? Valentine's Day is their busiest. You should know that market trend and prepare for it. So many hardworking people are out there running their own businesses. Take your business to them. I have ordered flowers from them multiple times and the most recent time had an issue when they delivered a bouquet with the wrong (cheaper) flowers for my friend's birthday. Their only attempt to fix the issue (after a week of calls and negotiating and them saying they will call me back, but never did) was by demanding the flower recipient (my friend who is General Manager of a local hotel) return the bouquet of flowers (!) and only then would they replace the bouquet. I gently reminded them that they might prefer to give a partial refund or credit to me to avoid a local hotel knowing that not only did they screw up a pretty simple order, but their solution to fix it was even more ridiculous. They didn't care and only offered me a $37 credit on a $100 order. Now all my colleagues in South Beach hotels will know, and judging from the other awful reviews, everyone will probably have a similar story to tell. Too bad- pretty flowers, but horrible people :( read more

I was very disappointed with this company this past Christmas. I ordered a huge bouquet of flowers. Firstly they sent them a whole day early. When I called to tell them they were rude and unhelpful. Then the flowers died after 2 days. Even store bought ones last a week. I have bought flowers here for the last 20 years but no more. I NEVER write reviews but I HAD to write about this place and how horrible the customer service is. The lady who picked up my call, named Daphne, sounded like she truly could care less about what I said. I called yesterday and she picked up, referring me to someone else. Today I call to follow up and she answers again. First thing out of her mouth is "I wasn't supposed to be here today, but I guess I can help you". WTF. Then she tells me there was no order in place even though I had e-mailed my order like she asked. She said I had to pay to place an order, which I was willing to do as long as she told me some kind of price!! After giving her my credit card number, I try to confirm once again everything (because she didn't bother confirming) and when re-iterated the delivery time I had mentioned the day before, she proceeds to tell me "oh no, we cant deliver at that time". I responded "you told me we could" and she said "yea I know, but now we cant because I just realized we have a big wedding tomorrow". This is the craziest & worst customer service experience I've ever had. She sounded like she was drugged.... that's how little she cared. WOW! read more

During the time surrounding Mother's Day this year, I was visiting with my daughter in Miami. She had two arrangements delivered from Pistils & Petals for me---one had orchids and the other had roses. ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! The orchid arrangement was simple elegance and the rose arrangement was deliciously fragrant; the flowers plump and moist; and the color mix was like a gorgeous watercolor with deep pinks and cool greens---a treat for the senses! Several weeks ago I ordered a floral arrangement and specifically requested that it be delivered prior to 12p.m. but at the latest 1p.m. I ordered it on a Monday for delivery on Saturday of that week. It was for a special occasion. I was told that it would be done. On the day of the delivery, I called in the morning (they do not open until 10:00 a.m.) and was told by the floral designer that she would make sure arrangement would be on truck and delivered by time requested. The arrangement was beautiful, however, got delivered at 5:15 p.m. The couple for whom the flowers were meant did not see them until close to midnight as they had left the house early afternoon that day. When I called to complain, they were not too forthcoming and did not really seem to care. Only after calling again did they offer some small discount toward the purchase of a future arrangement. Told them I would not be ordering from them again. What a shame! Very creative but I have to concur with the other mediocre reviews..NOT SERVICE ORIENTED AT ALL!! read more
