Meet the Business Owner: Evelyn G.

A military spouse, Evelyn started training about 6 years ago in Joplin, Missouri. After stopping training to go to be a Veterinary Technician, she saw in a different light the disadvantages of a poorly trained dog while handling them at the clinic every day. She left the vet clinic to open Pistol Paws and help all dog owners take charge of the relationship with their pets! She also started the Non-Profit, Paws of Liberty, which provides completely free service dogs to veterans in our community. She is so proud of the 100% success rate that her service dog program has, meaning not a single pairing of dog and handler has not worked. Owning her own dogs Pistol Annie (a black lab) and Whiskey Tango (a pit bull), and experience on the ranch with working dogs, as well as her service dog program, she lives to help dogs and their owners!
