The burger meat was a flavorless as was the cheesesteak; visually it looked ok but probably best to go outside and get an in n out burger instead for half the price and twice the flavor. Server did a good job with delivery to table.

Dave had the country fried steak (or was it Chicken fried?). It was delicious and HUGE! So huge, in fact, he had it for 2 meals. I had the veggie scramble with eggs over medium. I cannot tell you how great it was. Perfect in every way. Large portions. Great potatoes. Great veggies. Perfectly cooked eggs. Our server was Lola and she was there with coffee and there with a smile. When we go back, we will be looking for her. She was perfect!! Cute little diner inside the smaller casino. Looking for great food, fair prices and large portions? Stop in.

On the way home from Palms Springs sometimes you get a little hungry and want to hit a "PitStop". Located inside the old Casino Morongo, PitStop Diner has been serving customers for years. Today my family and I got to stop and enjoy some of the fried goodness on their menu but thats not all they have. Everything we ordered came put fresh and warm. Everything warm, fresh, and crispy. The perfect crunchy exterior to a warm delicious soft inner fries. They made sure the food was too your liking. The service was great, the waitress made sure to check on you every so often to make sure everything was okay. I hope to the next person who sees this review has a much as a great experience as I did. Thank you PitStop for the warm and scrumptious meal.

We always come to this spot because not only is it delicious it's always clean. Today we had the most lovely server her name was Deborah. She was so sweet and called you baby or hunny which had that hometown feeling. She made sure all of our food was correct and hot. She made sure we had sauces for all the different foods. She was so nice and attentive as well. Hope she stays for a while!! Food was hot and fresh. Got the platter which was a little bit of it all chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, and French fries. Next time I want to try the zucchini table next to us got it and it looked and smelled delicious. Definitely one of the best casino diners I've been too.

Is this one of Americas great Diners???? Put on the brakes because it is not. But it is a good Casino diner! Pit Stop services the small older side of Morongo Casino in Cabazon. The side with bowling bingo ad Poker. The menu is big and the do offer daily specials including a daily $27 Prime Rib dinner. I had the Frisco burger and that was a great patty melt with a expertly executed Parmesan crust on sour dough bread. The pre-fab coated and seasoned fries were very good, hot, crisp and just minutes out of the freezer. Im not complaining but my friends were, they didnt like this style of French fry and thought they tasted fishy. The Ice-cold Onion rings were immediately sent back to the kitchen and fresh hot order arrived in about 15 minutes. Service was good and yes we would eat here again on our next visit to Morongo bingo, because it's the only option.

This is easy off and on the 10. If you're hungry, don't pass this up. Easy parking too! You'll pull up to the old Morongo Casino but it's not what you think... You don't have to be a gambler to make this great pit stop! Or go ahead and gamble in this small, clean and friendly casino. The Pit Stop diner is straight ahead as you come in the door. Enjoy sweet, attentive service by "Lola", in her sparkling clean 50s diner, Pick your spot and get ready to enjoy some great food. Im a catfish aficionado, on my way to Texas for the real thing and found it right here! Texas style hush puppies, best crispy fries you've ever had, excellent fresh coleslaw, and... fried catfish! The catfish has a light crispy, crunchy cornmeal breading, fried to perfection, with high quality "clean" tender catfish. "Clean" means it doesn't taste like a bottom dweller, which it is! Hubby loved his "Big Rig" $10 breakfast with eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and pancakes. Even the coffee was above board, fresh and rich coffee flavor. See you soon Lola, on our way back!

Pit Stop Diner exceeded my expectations! Going into a casino for brunch.. set the bar low. I was pleasantly surprised with my meal. Portions were large, selection was wide enough, and service was all kind. My friends and I weren't distracted by the sound of slot machines nearby. We even enjoyed the throwback tunes playing on the diner speakers.

Driving back from Palm Springs, we were done with late night fast food for dinner. Few choices for a sit down but the Pit Stop Diner was open. Located inside Morongo Casino, it is on the casino floor. It has an extensive menu and there kinda funny to hear the ka-chning of the machines while were eating. The food was tasty, good portion size and filling. Service was friendly and efficient. Our server tried to help us save money by promoting their rewards program. Now we know where to go if we want to enjoy a sit down meal.

The food was so fresh and good!!! Love it! Service was great! Food was fast and you can tell it was just cooked!

The roasted shiitake mushroom & bok choy were good complement to the dish. We ordered a bottle of red wine which paired very well with our dish. The brunch buffet was solid. It included many different options (appetizers, breakfast items, hot food, prime rib station, seafood, dessert, etc) to choose from. My favorite part at any buffet is always the seafood section. The music was loud but played some great classic r&b and hip hop songs. We walked to sit at the high tables at the back and Leslie, the bartender, came over to bring us water and menus. We ordered some small stuff, house dumplings and their crunchy roll to share. I guess I didn't read it properly but didn't expect the roll to be soy paper which wasn't a big deal at all! The crunchy tempura bits on the top were yummy and overall a solid roll but could barely finish it. The gyoza were great though! If someone felt they were treated rudely by a waitress, that doesn't mean everyone that walks in will be treated the same way by that or any member of the staff. Yet here I am writing one of those reviews, because the complete lack of management was appalling. And I had no real interpersonal issue with anybody, so what happened to me could happen to you. We invited a neighbor out to the fun new place in town called THE OVERLAND -- that we'd been dying to try. We tried to get reservations early Friday because it was a Friday night. But their website appeared broken. When you clicked MAKE RESERVATIONS, nothing happened. We even called but got no call backs. We show up at 6PM and get THE BIG SIGH. "Yeah, umm... SIGH... we're having a big party on the patio and our reservations are booked for the night... SIGH." I'm highlighting the SIGHS because the staff isn't supposed to SIGH at us at how hectic their life is. It's OUR place to SIGH at the staff for failing to properly warn us the place was already booked for the night. So they sit us at a long high top where you're kind of sharing your table with 12 other people. Luckily a sweet patron volunteered to move so that we could sit across from our neighbor and create the illusion of an actual table. Soon the attentive staff did show up to take a drink order, but with a SIGH and a grimace our wait person then broke the news that because of the large party out on the patio -- there would be no food for at least an hour. We should have been told that at the door, right? As to not raise a fuss we ordered drinks and they were pretty good. The music was nice. The thing is -- -- restaurants that have an artsy fancy hipster "vibe" twist pride themselves on not being chain restaurants. I celebrate that and I get that. But with this territory often comes this odd feeling that they have no clue how to run a restaurant. "We're trying our best" with a SIGH doesn't cut it after being in business more than a few months. All 'soft openings' must come to end, people. Some Pro Tips -- 1. If your website cannot take any additional reservations, it should indicate as much. To us, it simply appeared broken. You've been open for three years and this isn't fixed YET? 2. At the door, we needed to be told there's a big function and it might be better to come back another night. Or, even more professional -- 3. -- either close the entire restaurant for a 'Private Function' or 4. -- have additional kitchen staff ready to handle both the restaurant AND the large party. Sorry folks, but you made one lousy first impression. I'm at a loss to understand why there should be a second.
