I have been here for minor situations and they have done a great job. Oil changes changing some sensors

Today I went to Pit Stop Service Center II on Main Street in Summerville. I was having a problem with the tire pressure being low in my tires where the light had come on my dash. The gentleman was very quick to come out and help me and he took my car and they checked the air all the tires and made sure that they had the proper amount of air. And they also Found a nail that they removed and they plugged it. They didn't charge me anything. I take my car there to have the oil change the people kind and friendly. I needed an oil change quickly and most places around here only have 1 or 3 guys working at a time. I was told an hour and a half down the street so I came to the Pit Stop instead. I was in and out in about 25 minutes. The workers here are quick and efficient with what they do. The gave me prices before doing any work and they also vacuumed the inside of the car. The waiting area was small but clean. They also had benches outside to sit in as well. They have a full staff of employees here so the work is done quickly. I'd recommend this place to anyone needing an oil change that doesn't have hours to spare waiting somewhere else. read more

Our minivan's front air dam was dragging. We attempted to duct tape and to cut it off. That lasted a little while. We pulled off in Summerville. Pit Stop service member greeted us, assessed the situation, and took care of it. Got us back on the road. Professional and friendly. read more

I took my car in to get it serviced and it was fine. After I paid my bill I realized it was 20 dollars higher then the estimated price. They charge a percent of the money for using a card. it looks to be a 5 percent charge on the total. Not a flat service fee but a percent of your total. I couldn't imagine if you had thousands of dollars worth of work you could pay hundreds for using a debt card. They say they have signs but I didn't see them but also wasn't looking for one. I'm done with this shop. Will never spend another dime there. read more

This was my first time visiting Pit Stop on the recommendation of a man who has lived around this area his entire life. I went in needing an oil change and tire rotation. They greeted me as soon as I arrived with courtesy and professionalism. I was directed to the waiting room. While it is on the small side, it's air conditioned, which means I'll be comfortable coming back here in the summer. They came in and asked me about replacing my air filters, which is typical of an oil change place. I declined because my car is easy to access myself (and the filters are much cheaper), but there was no push back or pressure which I GREATLY appreciate! They did a very thorough job. Told me I needed new brakes in the front ASAP but my tires looked great. Let me know my license plate bulbs were out, and I didn't even know about that one. All in all, I had 1 guy in there when I came in, 3 more in the mean time, 3 check out ahead of me and I was out of there in 40 minutes. Everyone I encountered was very nice and polite. Having moved from California, my start here was a bit rocky but this Pit Stop was my first experience of someone making it right. It was just before a cross country trip when the clutch went out on my poor old Honda. This place , hands down UNDERSTANDS Customer Service. I am that A*@hole that is never happy and this place makes me put my foot in my mouth. 2 times in a row this place has blown everyone else away. (Trea*ua*&^ers, Fire**** listen up) Today my wife went to get a light bulb changed on her Yukon. When she arrived they came right out and did not leave her "hanging" like all the others in town would. The bulb in the headlight is a pain in the colon, (we have been through this before) and we was told the cost would be around $145 because it would take around an hour and half to change out due to her custom headlights being a pain. My wife had them proceed with the work and left the truck there while she ran errands with my daughter. About 30 minutes later she gets a call saying the work is completed. This is where the story changes!: They then tell her, the bulb was way easier to change than they thought so the bill would only be $45.00. She was literally going to be gone for hours and they could have bilked her another $100. But instead they did the right thing! This literally gave ME a personal INTEGRITY CHECK and is an inspiration on how small businesses can conquer with service. My wife and I currently run a large Fleet of trucks and vans and plan to give ALL of our service work to these folks. 6 YEARS PEOPLE- I have been flimflammed by lots of others in town. Some no serious issues, but the little things, (like forgetting to put a new change oil sticker in the window, grease on the door handles, not understanding what costs are and those other little pet peeves. ) , and others more serious ( wrong diagnosis, cant figure it out, having to bring a truck back 4 times before getting it right). I would give 0 stars if I could. Quoted my wife $2900 to change heads on truck, that's a $1200 job at the most. Also told her $1800 to fix her AC, I cleaned the cabin air filter and it works fine. How these people are still in business I will never know. read more

I have used this location Twice with my company vehicle. I have been amazed how fast and friendly the staff is. You pull up one of the guys grabs the vehicle and in no time(approx 10-12mins) the oil change, new wipers and my right rear tire (that had a screw in it) was fixed and ready. i will going here moving forward. I went here at the suggestion of a friend. I have a Ford Fiesta (piece of crap) that has given me more problems than any car I've ever had. The most recent was the gas tank would not fill up. Jones Ford wanted me to pay $2000+ to get the fuel tank replaced when the car isn't even worth that. I took it here for a second opinion and they found a service bulletin for a fix that only cost me $300. They were super quick and helpful. I had to take it back today for an AC issue and they called me back within an hour of dropping it off with a diagnosis. I highly suggest using Pit Stop. These guys are 5 star all the way. Been taking my cars here for 15 years and have never been disappointed. Professional, polite, skilled, friendly and really look out for the customer's best interest. Faster oil changes than the so-called "speedy" or "speed lube" places in town. These guys have done so many "freebies" for me and my family I have lost count. I bring my car in to have something fixed, and 10 or 15 minutes later they tell me my car is ready and there was no charge because it was something easy or simple. When my car was having issues (abnormal tire wear) that was outside their servicing scope, they recommended me to someone who fixed it for a great price. Their recommendation saved me hundreds in tire replacements. These guys are great! read more

Horrible. Had my car towed in as it sounded bad. They said it was fine, nothing wrong. A week later steam from the hood and stalled. Brought it back in radiator was cracked. They hadnt noticed. 450 bucks. No big deal. Wrong.... When I leave the shop the check engine light is on. It had not been before. I call and they tell me 75 to run diagnostics on the computer but auto zone would do it free. I asked if they would take a look and see if it was something they had done and they agreed. Now they tell me 400 to repair and its not theyre fault. Quite the coincidence. I said I was going to get a second opinion and the Manager refused to give me my car back unless I paid them 75 dollars for the computer scan they ran. They told me that was 75 but I never asked them to do it. Basically they broke a part on my car while fixing the radiator and refused to admit it and tried to put the screws to me for it. Also when I picked up from the radiator repair they had left the windows open in the car all morning and there was litter from the tree above it filling the car that had been spotless.
