NOT Service-Animal Friendly...but the food was very good! My daughter and I stopped after a very long day to get something to eat. A member of the kitchen staff came yelling at us about my daughter's Service-Animal, telling us she couldn't have the dog in the restaurant because "we" are Muslim, and "the boss won't like having a dog." I explained to him the Americans with Disabilities Act regarding the dog but he kept spouting that we needed to leave. Part of me wanted to take my business elsewhere, and the rest of me wanted to defend my daughter and her dog. The food was EXCELLENT, and the portions were very good. I couldn't finish my Falafel, so I took half of it home. My daughter had the Shawarma. EXCELLENT. Rita, was very nice, and made sure we had everything we needed. I'm torn.. my mom and I have gone to this place many times over the past couple months, the food has always been good. This time... I was baffled. When placing my order I asked for no tomato and I guess that meant "no chicken" because I got no chicken with my chicken shawarma???? What? Dude, how do you forget something so basic? The extra falafel I ordered was still warm but the rice was close to ice cold too so I couldn't even enjoy that without reheating it. They refunded our entire order so I think we will give them another chance but at a different location. Plus, the falafel that I did eat was really good but still... do better. Beef items have plenty of flavor and was tender. Beef Shawarma lacked flavor and was chewy. Chicken shawarma on the other hand was tender and had good flavor. The Chicken shish tawook was just ok. Falafel's tasted good but were not crunchy. The pita's were...pita's. (can't compare to Naf Naf) The hot sauce tastes like something purchased from the grocery store. Tahini sauce was decent. My most recent order I placed after walking in. (2 entrees). I waited 28 minutes. People walked in and ordered, got their food before me. People placed to-go orders...left before me. I went and spoke to the person who works at the register and she said. "One second." She's walks to the back. Says something to the cooks. They look at some receipts. She then walks out and says "it will be out shortly". No apology at all. Once they hand me the food I notice the bottom of the bag is red. I didn't feel like explaining it to her again so I said, Sure, that's fine. When our order arrived the $5 side was enough to be eaten in 2 bites. When I asked the lady for a refund and to just charge for a sandwich, she refused and then came to our table to yell. This place is really amazing. Check out their lunch specials. Bring the vegans and vegetarians with you. Mixed meat plates, sautéed lamb, wonderful falafel and garlic dip who's name I can neither spell or pronounce. Hummus is good as are their salads. For the picky eaters the chicken is amazing and can be served with fries. People who run this place are welcoming and serve some of the best Mediterranean food around. Bad place ever!! The prices are ridiculous. The service is disgusting! Don't go to this restaurant and waste your money! After we ordered our food, we sat down waiting for about 20 minutes to get our order. Finally, they brought our order to our table. We looked inside the falafel sandwiches, and we were shocked what we saw!! There were only 2 pieces of falafel in each sandwich, filled with more than half of it with salad. Beside of that, we ordered a drinks for all of us and we didn't get most of. Paying almost a $100 for only 5 sandwiches and (3 drinks which we didn't get) is awful!! We asked for our drinks 3 times, and they didn't care. I don't recommend this place to no one, because you will end up paying too much and getting nothing from what you ordered! read more

This is the second time I've had the chicken shawarma - got the wrap sandwich with fries this time - absolutely delicious!! The meat is so tender and not fatty, the flavor is great, and I love the addition of pickles. The fries are also great, to my surprise! They have a light/crispy exterior, and survived the 10 minute delivery without getting soggy at all! Can't wait to eat here again. I'll be telling everyone to try it! read more

Unfortunately there's nothing good to say, food poisoning is what you will overpay for at this restaurant, they don't care and it shows. The meat is dry and old, hummus is not ever fresh, they refry the falafel over and over until sold. Their pita bread is terrible. What a shame. When they first opened they were amazing. Not Anymore. Last night was the last night we ever eat here. This place is the worst. None of the employees care about their customers and they make sure you know it. Because this is the closest Mediterranean food place nearby, my husband and I have tried this place countless of times and every time the food quality gets worse. I always get the chicken tawook. It's basically the thinnest cut of chewy chicken you can get. My husband gets the beef and always laughs and calls it the "questionable meat". We usually order for pickup and my order is always wrong and/or missing something. I've had about 8-10 to go orders wrong. One time, the owner/"manager" came out to go through my bag because I was missing 3 plates. She accused me of lying and that I'm trying to get free food. I wasn't. She was so rude and mean to me I almost felt bad but then the cashier realized that they put the wrong label on my bag. It was for someone else! She also touched all of the food with her bare hands. She even dug through one of the chicken plates to count how many pieces of chicken were in the container. I DIDN'T EVEN LEAVE THE RESTAURANT. When she finally figured out that THEY mislabeled the to go bags she rolled her eyes and said "ugh oh here's your order". But wait - what happened to the order she dug thru with her bare hands? A Grubhub guy came to pick it up. I saw her put it back in the bag and the guy (who had no idea about anything) just take the bag and leave. Sorry to whoever ate it... So if you do want to eat here, here's a couple tips: 1. Make sure you check your bags BEFORE you leave the restaurant. Specifically AT the pick up counter. They are extremely aggressive about pick up orders and will tell you that you're lying and that if you "want" the missing items that you will have to pay for them. They can't try denying missing items if it's at the counter and/or on camera. 2. Don't bother asking for extra sides of any of the sauces. They will roll their eyes and huff and puff about having to get them. Pay for them if you want them but again, CHECK YOUR TO GO BAGS!!! 3. Do not order after 7:30PM. They close @9. They don't want any customers after 7:30. Your food will 100% be questionable and missing a bunch of stuff. Fun fact - I didn't get rice in one of my chicken plates and after thinking about it, I think it was because I ordered a pick up order @7:45. Was ready @8:15. Again, they close @9. This wasn't a last minute order. By the time I got home they wouldn't answer their phone. "Closed". 4. The chicken is THIN and over cooked. Beef is again, "questionable meat". Usually cold. And the "spicy" red sauce is more like glorified ketchup. 5. Save your time and just go to pita bbq or pita house. This place will only let you down and cost you $50+ for 2 people. read more

Given the current times (corona quarantine), I wanted to support a local business and was originally craving a burger. However, this place was close by so I gave them a shot. BEST DECISION EVER!!! The staff was so friendly and welcoming, even just over the phone. Putting in my order was so easy, and something as small as reading back my large order to ensure nothing was forgotten made me feel even more appreciated as a customer. And to top it all off, THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! I had the beef sharwma wrap, and it was loaded with bold flavors and textures. The wrap itself was warm and savory; the meat was extremely well seasoned and tender; and the hummus and vegetable made it so fresh. I've had a lot of Mediterranean food, and Pita Pita is way up there on my list of favorites! Absolutely loved it and will definitely be coming back! read more

We visited here on Sunday, January 16th for lunch. As soon as we walked up to the counter the lady immediately asked us if we were vaccinated and all three of us replied yes. She then preceded to say "Are you sure? because I do not want any problems" and we said "Yes, we are sure, would you like to see our vaccination cards?" and she said "No, but are you sure that you are vaccinated?" and we replied again "Yes, we are vaccinated" and she then replied again "I just do not want any trouble" She refused to see our vaccination cards even though one of us provided one for her to see. She then told us persistently "I do not want any trouble" My mother had asked her if "people lie about their vaccination status to you" and she shook her head yes. Her actions had implied that we had lied about being vaccinated even before we placed our order. I understand people have a job to do but why ask us if we are sure multiple times and refuse to see our vaccination cards when we already told you multiple times before that we were vaccinated and were willing to show our vaccination cards. I didn't even know it existed but we were driving past, saw it, were in need of lunch so we decided to stop. While heading in, I recall that over the past few months, Pita Pita been blowing my phone up weekly with coupons ever since I signed up for the rewards at Rolling Meadows a year ago so I figured I'd finally try one of them out. I just received one for buy one get one that didn't expire for 6 more days. I tried to use it and the cashier was dumbfounded, told me it was expired and refused to try to get it applied for me. So I just said skip it and took the 15% off. I got a Chicken Shawarma wrap. It was "Ok", nothing impressive. It wasn't the same mind-blowing experience I had when I first went to Palatine. The food is good, the restaurant is clean. My complaints have to do with some staff & how chincy they've become over the last 3 years that we've lived here. I know the impact of COVID really harmed restaurant industry, so I always keep that in the back of my mind before posting any negativity about a food establishment. With that being said, my complaints are as follows: -there is a woman who answers the phone sometimes and she's just plain rude. She somehow makes me feel bad for getting hungry. -I'm getting less & less in my dinner orders lately. The rice used to fill the side of the box, and the meat on the other side. That's not a thing anymore. It looks like one careful measured scoop per side. -the dinner plate I usually order comes with a garlic sauce and some kind of spicy fire sauce. I never touch the spicy sauce -- so when I call to order, I tell them to hold the spicy sauce and to substitute for another garlic instead. They charge for extra garlic sauce -- which kinda sucks. There is another great place in Streamwood to get the same food in larger portions and they have a very friendly staff. I only Pita Pita when I'm too lazy to drive to the better place I'm talking about. Give your female employee a lesson in customer service please, and go back to fat scoops of rice & meat. This place is a hidden gem , they always have amazing food and good service , the owner is a rly nice lady she's old school but very nice and attentive. This place deserves 5 stars and the food is affordable and healthy you don't feel bad after eating it... actually you feel good and you end up over eating lol. that's why I like to eat here at least once a week.
