I first contacted Pitney Bowes for my nonprofit mailing in Feb. 2021. I repeatedly asked if they were capable of purchasing the nonprofit postage as we had not received our permit yet, and was assured they could accommodate us. I ordered their postal machine and signed up for a postage purchasing account. All good. The machine came, i called to order the postage and was told, "Oh, we don't do that." Then I cancelled my account and returned the machine, within 6 days. Then i got a bill for $297. I called their support line and explained all. I got an email on 3/18 that all was good, account closed. To this day over a year later, I still get calls and bills now for $387. I have repeatedly called to no avail and now they have sent us to a collection agent. I have already contacted the Better Business Bureau and Pitney Bowes has, once again, promised to close the account. We will see. I'm not hopeful. read more

Pitney Bowes is running a billing scam where they continue sending invoice after invoice to an email that is getting no response. They weren't getting responses to emailed invoices, so they sent 21 invoices over 17 months, adding late fees and interest every time. Never attempted any sort of contact other than the non-functioning email address they had. When we discovered the problem, their customer service department pretended to look into the problem, then declared our case closed and refused to address the nearly $800 in bogus late fees and interest they had scammed us for. We paid them in good faith, thinking we could call and get the situation corrected later. Most of the invoice we paid was for legitimate charges and we didn't want to delay paying those. But, I had no idea what kind of a run-around I was in for. Pitney Bowes has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. And they set it up that way on purpose. Just go to their website and try to send them an email to ask for assistance. You can't. There's not even a form you can fill out. Don't sign a contract with this company!!! read more

So, Pitney Bowes offers a home mail station to replace having to go the post office for stamps, packages etc. Just stamp your item and toss it in the mail. Sounds Great! Until you start getting ALL of the HIDDEN fees! Like it or not, pay 27.00 a month for fire insurance on your machine - ON TOP OF THE $99.00/month rental of the machine PLUS costs of ink, tape, etc. etc....Customer reps lie to you on the phone! Do not waste your money with this scam company. No wonder their stock price is in the tank. I guess they have to cheat their customers so they can pay the dividend they can't cover any longer. Pitney Bowes has a wait time of over 20 minutes when a business customer calls. They have an option that they will call you back keeping your space in the call line but they never call back. They only want to communicate through their website but they do not follow-up. They send a refund check for no reason and then state they never received your check and charge late fees. Never sign a lease with them. We have used them for 26 years but will be discontinuing when our lease is up. read more

Pricing: they gouged us big time. then held us hostage to their rediculous contract. Customer service: I had to give them our credit card info 6 times before they actually got it right each time i had to spend 45 hminutes on hold and got disconnected or transferred more times than i can count Now they want to gouge me again by charging a $100 fee to just to return their machine. Have been leasing a Pitney Bowes mail machine at work for a few years now. Would NEVER use Pitney Bowes again. They have NO customer service at all!! They want you to use their website for all communication but they never follow up on any case you submit. It is a waste of time. If you are looking for a mailing system DO NOT use them. Thought everything was finalized but I just received yet another bill in the mail today for the lease, also received a credit on my purchase power account.....no idea what is going on here. As others say, worst customer service ever, was on hold for an hour. I would not use this company again nor would I recommend them. If you are experiencing similar issues I would recommend writing a report with the BBB as this actually got them to call ME. I had to file another report today so lets see what happens. Seriously bad customer service! Phone system setup to delay you to the point that you want to hang up. Customer communications by mail include no email or nor phone number to call to reply. As for their product, it works fine, but you will pay 4x what their competitors charge for the same products/service. Look elsewhere! read more

They get a NO STAR. Pitney Bowes' payment due dates are false. Payments that are recieved by their due date, are not posted for 2-3 days after and then charged a late fee. This type of practice should not be legally allowed. After speaking to customer service, they explained that the 27 days they allow for payment should be enough for customers to pay in advance of the due date. They are earning revenue from falsely charging late fees from thousands of customers and getting away with it. Shame on Pitney Bowes! read more
