Great fair and fairgrounds in Pittston in July. Not the biggest fair in Maine, but one of the nicest. It is referred to as the friendliest fair in Maine. Lots of rides, museums, strawberry activities for the kids, tons of fair food, games, activities and so much more. We watched the pig scramble on the first day as well as the oxen pull. Really fun. It was raining part of the day, but the pulling arena in covered, so no problem. I had a great fried dough and fresh French fries. Awesome. There could be more rides and food, but it is a small town fair. I have been to almost every fair in Maine sometime in my life and I love fairs. read more
