Now that Corey, the new owner, has taken over fully, I think this little barbershop has gotten even better. Both Corey and Stephanie are very skilled at what they do. They're also both very friendly and welcoming. Care for a shot of bourbon while getting a cut? You can get that too. If you know me, you know I love a good sipping whiskey, and they've got some good ones to choose from. They also have non-alcoholic drinks on hand. Prices have stayed the same as they did before. It's located on 9th St., just a few blocks north of the Centennial Plaza. I usually get my haircut by Valentino, but the other barber does a great job as well. They have a beauty salon area in the back and a snack shop as well. I've run the gantlet with barber shops around here, including A Cut Above in Covington and Cut'n'Up in Newport. I've also tried most of the shops downtown. It seemed like every time I found a barber that I was happy with, they would either move on or I would get fed up with my appointments getting pushed back. Not everyone has 2 hours to hang out at a barber shop. From my experiences, the barbers at Calloway's hold true to their appointment times. I'd strongly recommend this place.
