The place was packed with many families and folks celebrating the holidays. This place is definitely popular and very family-friendly. The pizzas were good, tasty, and familiar. The meatballs were flavorful and went well with the pizza crust. The artichoke dip was okay and the salad was ordinary but went well with the pizza. For folks with Resy credits through some of the American Express cards, this is a good way to use those credits as this restaurant is on the Resy platform at the time of this review. Pizza Bank has been around since 1983 according to one of the staff who has been there for the same length of time. This review is sort of a two-Parter. To start the layout of Pizza Bank is nice, with plenty of indoor as well as outdoor seating. There is even a private-Esque room that seats at least 6+. It is also kid friendly with children's works adorning the walls on the way to the rest rooms. The pizza is solid. The sauce and cheese hit the spot. The crust was a little dense, but all the other flavors bring it together. From what I hear though the salads and pastas are the real draw here according to that above mentioned staff member so perhaps on a return sit down visit I'll try those. The staff here are very accommodating as they hired on one of my clients which is testament of the values and openness here which is greatly appreciated. read more

My boyfriend LOVES this place! He has been wanting to take me here and we finally did this weekend! I thought it was in downtown Kirkland or close to totem lake but it's near Kingsgate. We decided to sit outside and their patio is lovely, loved the flowers arrangements. We tried their baby greens and goat cheese salad. Soooo good! I can even make this at home. Baby green salad with cherry tomatoes, walnuts, goat cheese, subtle onion with balsamic vinaigrette. The pizza was delicious! He loves the Italian meat combo so we got that along with the public enemies. We did do the half and half and they're only available on large specialty pizzas. Good flavors on both. The Italian combo has the cheese on top with the meats at the bottom and I love the special touch of sliced meatball. The Public Enemies was good too -- melty cheese with olives, mushrooms and parsley on top. Our server was excellent! She was so warm and attentive. The whole staff I have to applaud bc they were working hard and came by with more water or our orders. As we were leaving and paying, I could see them working hard on packaging up the to-go orders. I can't give any opinion on their sauce, because they were really light on sauce. Toppings are good quality. Nice amount of cheese. Place was packed on Saturday at 6:30pm. One of my top 3 local restaurants! Best items include: cheese bread with dipping sauce, spaghetti with meat sauce, raviolis with meat sauce, and the "public enemy" and "Athenian pizza". All the salads are also large, varied and delicious! House and greek salad are my personal favorite. The restaurant is very clean with local kids as employees, and kind of part of Kirkland itself. Would of given a negative star if I could. We walked in as a group after a hockey game. We couldn't have a full head count for them at the time because it was just kind of last minute decision that we were meeting for dinner. The staff there already did not want to serve us, but at last everyone showed up, so they seated us. Kids were excited, we didn't want to make a scene. We waited at the table for 45 minutes seated at the table without being served. We politely reminded them that we are ready to order. They told us to wait and they already mentioned that they will not take the kids order. Understandably our walk in is overwhelming for them, I took notes of kids order to help them organize. They asked the kids to quiet down, and the kids did. After 45 minutes, they said they cannot serve us because the kids are too loud. We have 1 table of 6 kids, 2 tables of 4 adults each. No one ever came to speak to us other than asking us to quiet the kids down. This is a casual pizza joint. Not expecting anything classy but also never been disrespected this way. I would be happy to directly speak to the owner, not even the manager about this experience. They need to hire a team who actually wants to work there. read more

TLDR: novel pizza with cheese on top! Not overly salty! Check silverware cleanliness. Gonna start off with what caught my attention first--the pizza is made with toppings first and then the cheese. So really, the cheese IS the "topping". It's interesting because when the pizza is baked the cheese has this thin "broiled" layer that is slightly crispy but gooey underneath. It also keeps the toppings fresh, especially the veggies--they stay crisp and juicy! Typical diner setting with pop music playin in the background. I feel like this place becomes more popular on Game Day. Parking is interesting. There are some diagonal spots that are at awkward angles to enter into---compact vehicles only! Don't fret, there are regular spots too--it's just the lot is tight. Service: wait to be seated, order and pay at the table, you will be watered, leftovers are boxed for you. You get Andes mints! Dishware could be cleaner--my fork had a chunk of dried food and my cup had a spec of food clinging inside. It seems a little understaffed here so you might be waiting a while if there are a lot of customers. Old #29: delicious! Crust was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I'm a huge pizza crust fan and this was super satisfying--a nice "just the right thickness" crust! I subbed mushrooms for green belle pepper and was not disappointed. The pizza is baked with the ingredients underneath the cheese and so the veggies were still juicy and crisp as opposed to the withered dry veggies on typical baked pizza. The only downside to top cheese baking is that the stuff slips off your slice with each bite because the cheese isn't there to hold the ingredients to the crust. The pizza sauce is great too--not overly salty or lathered on! Tiramisu: not the best I've had but still tasty. Heavy on the moisture but is not overly sweet, which I like. The texture wasn't terrible but I kept having the mental image of a soggy sponge. The lightness of the cream was good though! read more

It just hurts to write this review, as I wanted to support a local pizzeria, but it was terrible. About a month ago I stopped in to order to go. Ordered meatballs, Italian chop salad and a large supreme. I asked if on the supreme, could the onions and peppers only be on one half with all other ingredients on the entire pizza. Of course! Seemed simple enough, but when I got home the pizza was the correct supreme pizza on one half and only cheese, peppers and onions on the other. No sauce....and I get that it could have gotten rung up wring or ?? But I was sitting and waiting for the to go order. Wasn't busy, it was early and no one asked if that was correct?!? I could absolutely forgive a misunderstanding, but the pizza was awful. Even the good side. No real flavor... and that was consistent with the meatballs. The meatballs were tough, tasted like they had been frozen and old. And the salad - just bleh. Got a small Hawaii 5-0 Pizza (w/ addition of half chicken, half anchovies, and bacon) and Baked Spaghetti w/ meatballs. Honestly the driest pizza I've ever had - barely any tomato sauce. The other toppings all tasted pretty dry as well. The baked spaghetti was not bad. The cheese crust wasn't super gooey though due to take out, but tasted good so giving the benefit of the doubt. The meatball was a bit too gummy/bouncy for my liking. Not what I personally expect from a ground meat meatball. Would've been a 1* if not for baked spaghetti, which I rate a 3*. Averages to 2*. Note that this is a drastic improvement to the last time I was here maybe 3-4 years ago, where the service was extremely slow, and the pizza was worse than Little Caesars across the street. About 10 years ago, the pizza here was really good. Their artichoke pizza was probably my favorite. I've been coming to this restaurant since I was 11yrs old so it's been about 20 years. Wowza. What was a weekly treat for our family 20yrs ago is now a special treat for birthdays, holidays and special occasions. We'll brave through the I-405 traffic to grab their baked pastas and ultra cheesy pizzas! My mom, brother and I (and now my husband) will always get the same order. The baked lasagna; house salad with thousand island dressing and the garlic buttered toast ($3 extra for salad and bread). For the extra cost, the salad and bread are totally worth it. The give you a fairly big salad with a good amount of mozzarella and the bread is thick and perfectly toasted. This time I deviated and ordered the Chicken Parmesan with spaghetti on the side. Also very good. We also ordered are favorite pizza: Most Wanted. This one has pepperoni, mushrooms, salami, black olives, canadian bacon, white onions and green peppers. Added fresh pineapples after bake to give it some sweetness. A great combo with a lot of toppings. I feel like two slices of this can fill up the average person. Their baked pasta dishes and pizzas are comforting, cheesy and just delish! They don't skimp on portion sizes and we usually have enough leftover to eat as another meal (or more) the next day. I believe they've changed ownership a couple of times in the last twenty years, but I'm thrilled the quality, taste, service and value have not been compromised.
