The locals seem to flock to this place pretty frequently. The owners new customers by name (always a great sign), and there was a line when we got there (which moved quickly). Plenty of pastas, paninis, antipastas, and more. We placed a massive order for 5 people and sat outside. Everything was delivered quickly and we ate while reaching our forks over each other's plates to make sure everything was tried, and nothing was missed. I didn't spend too much time looking, but there is a little shop as well which offers different sauces, pastas, etc. for purchase. They all look delicious, and great for a gift basket.

February 15th 2019…read more In Evening, me my mom and my dad had a family dinner together.Everything was going great. We first had to book this Italian restaurant called Rigoletto. After we got there we found a very comfortable seat. Mom and I started to order. My original plan for my third course was to eat a pancake called Crêpes Suzette. The waitress said that I couldn't order that as my third course. It was because there would be alcohol in Crêpes Suzette so he suggested me to try another dessert for my third course so I ordered tiramisu. The rest of our meal was delicious! However, our neighbors ordered Crêpes Suzette and we saw the fire flying up two meters high. It was caused by the alcohol. Because the alcohol was strong enough to make the cooking pan go on fire for two meters high. That was a funny & interesting night. I enjoyed eating in the Rigoletto and if you have time, you can go there for your dinner!!! Fun Fact This was my dolci menu!!!

That said I have found that the service varies a lot depending who serves you at our local Prezzo in Swadlincote - and there was a regretful incident on our visit to this restaurant last week. So yes, as usual my calzone was good. However my brother is allergic to all cheeses - seriously allergic. So he screened the menu (he has been before) for cheese-free dishes (narrow down the choices considerably in an Italian restaurant - made his choice and ordered the "TRUFFLE OIL INFUSED FRIES" as a side. This is the whole description on the menu. When the fries arrived they were sprinkled with parmesan - unexpected.... My brother brought it to the attention of the waiter (who seemed to be the manager on duty). The response was "well you will know better next time" - REALLY!? Given the recent hullaballoo in the UK about the unfortunate young lady who died because she had a sesame allergy and a "Pret a Manger" product was not labelled, you would have expected a LOT better response. We demanded a fresh batch of fries WITHOUT the parmesan and got them. Without this incident I would have rated the restaurant 4 stars - but this behavior and attitude is not acceptable. Perhaps Prezzo should take the trouble to either list all ingredients on every dish r simple ask diners if they have any allergies?? How difficult is that? There's nothing particularly daring or unusual about the menu, which is along the lines of what you'd find at most provincial Italian restaurants outside of London. There's not much evidence of the Sardinian roots bar the odd dish, which I was really hoping for as someone who loves the regional specialities of Italian cuisine. It's just my personal opinion but I would have LOVED Su Nuraghe to have focused the menu on Sardinian specialities along with a handful of staple Italian dishes rather than it being the other way round. That's not to say I didn't have a good meal; I did! I went for the Gnochetti Sardi (small Sardinian pasta with Sardinian sausage and tomato sauce) to start as main size portion followed by veal in a cream and mushroom sauce. The latter wasn't even on the menu and was kindly made to order. It was all very nice. What I liked most about this place was the service. The staff had been totally accommodating from the moment we booked to the moment we left. They even obliged to cook my off-piste order. I loved the warmth of service, which made me feel as though they genuinely wanted us to be there and to return. I definitely will go back too. Tip: unlike most restaurants these days, service isn't automatically added to your bill so bare that in mind.

Definitely recommend, much less greasy than its counterparts!
