For starters we went for lobster salad and mozzarella carrozza. Both were perfect, the lobster salad was excellent, and both portions were a good decent size. For main course my wife had chicken, ham and asparagus. I went for veal saltimbocca. Both portions were cooked to perfection and served with baby potatoes and a selection of vegetables. The menu had a good selection of veal, chicken , seafood, beef and pasta dishes. Everything looked really good. The meal was finished off with coffee and cannoli/ strawberry cheesecake. The restaurant is in a period converted house, which once belonged to the family who owned number 6 (where the restaurant is situated) and the imposing building at the end of Rose street (I remember visiting the daughter in a past life here but we'll move on) It's intimate & warm and has a great feel at the front whilst there is a less intimate but larger area at the back principally used for groups. The Italian staff offer a genuine warm welcome and repeat visits make you feel part of the family! The menu is well balanced with a broad selection of Italian standards. The crab and cod ravioli with the saffron sauce is superb whilst the crab salad is a fresh triumph of a dish. Mains are equally accomplished, the fillet steak with fois gras delivers big bold flavours and Turbot is a another favourite of mine. The wine list which is exclusively Italian, offers a wonderful selection, the Russiz Pinot on my last visit was outstanding. Service is performed with aplomb, and it is performed, this place has a heart beat a rhythm and there is a pride taken in executing every task. Deserts are equally polished the Tiramisu is a rich sticky delight and the home made chocolate cake is to die for. All in all the food service and atmosphere are all top drawer. So to the trifling, grubby part, the bill. . it's not cheap, it's squarely in the top end of the range, but then so it should be, so it deserves to be. You'll leave lighter of cash but richer in spirit and bloody well fed!

Tucked away in a courtyard at the further edge of town, it's darkly lit and relaxed. I went for a family celebration (utilising my Taste London card) and we were quickly seated at a lovely table at the front of the restaurant. Drink orders were taken quickly and arrived just in time for us to place our food orders. The menu has a good mix of pizza and pasta dishes, and a delicious set of grill meals (great for those of us on low-carb diets!) The food arrived quickly, and was nice enough. The meatballs were tasty, although seriously swamped in the tomato sauce. I can't fault my rib eye steak though. My family loved their meals too. Overall, it's a lovely place to eat but it's fairly overpriced, particularly considering a lot of the food is similar to that of Prezzo. Go if you've got a discount code, otherwise head for its budget-friendly sister two minutes down the road.

They offer a good range of pizzas and they also offer some great meal deals and special offers. If you hunt around online you can normally find some additional discounts and the online ordering service is also very efficient. Prices are a bit more expensive than other local pizza parlours
