Hands down one of the best pizza places i have ever had. I had their garlic knots and the garlic had a little bit of sweetness to it which was AMAZING!! I had their pesto cheese sticks and the pesto was creamy and fresh (sometimes pesto can be very earthy and grainy, but not here.. even Suzi would love it ). I had a pepperoni pizza with vodka sauce, first off all do you know how rare it is to find a pizza place with pink sauce?!?! This sauce was smooth and flavorful. I dont love chuncky sauces and this vodka sauce was absolutely perfect!! I cant say enough amazing things about this place!!! Literally every single item i tried was phenomenal!!!!! read more

July 29, 12:30 pm Ordered in the Restaurant and waited for a reasonable time. Just came back from Italy back in May and was looking for an authentic pizza place back home in Fontana. Sorry but this isn't it. No love here. Thelma (Owner Name?) - if you want to understand specifics in the hope of managing the expectations of your customers - here are some:! I had to put the pizza back in the oven with a stone top to cook the crust to the right crunch - added fresh mozzarella at 450, pulled it out after a few, drizzled some EVOO and spread some fresh basil on top. That was the expectation I had for the pricing I paid for - which I don't mind paying but not for a crust that was not cooked well with mozzarella that was almost inexistent. The red pizza sauce was good so I didn't have to fix that. I asked for a margherita pizza - thin crust and one of your crew members knew what it was - you didn't have fresh basil but offered an honest disclaimer that you had dried basil seasoning which the other member who wanted to put in my order was oblivious to what a margherita pizza was and asked if it was in the menu, then the other crew member responded to him in a training sort of way that the pizza can be built with the ingredients. So they asked me what the ingredients were - I really thought that was a laughable moment but I didn't want to be disrespectful. I think your store has potential with the right technical and pleasing personality training and understanding of Italian culture and how passion of food preparation may translate to superior food quality is definitely a training point. Back in my Fontana home, it's a good thing I had the ingredients and equipment to fix the pizza I bought from your store, otherwise it would not have been a great and enjoyable lunch. So I celebrated the "save" and made myself some lemonade flavored tea with a double shot of limoncello. Also- you had pasta in the menu which is one of the reasons that drew us to your pickup restaurant - but unfortunately, you did not have any. The medium and small pizzas were done and the seemingly crew member-in-training was exuding with negative vibe - or maybe it was just me. So we just left. I hope when I visit next - if I see Yelp updates - it will be a happier place with food quality that meets or better yet exceeds a reasonable expectation of an authentic Italian product so I can upgrade this rating to 5 stars. Just a suggestion - offer fresh basil and burrata- quality control the crust- No pizza goes out without the perfect crunch on the crust and optimum topping moisture. Perhaps a 2-step in and of the oven process where first you put the pizza without the topping and just the sauce - pull it out of the oven and add the other ingredients and bake till you get the right temperature for the cheese or whatever technique you already are doing - because the topping moisture is already ok and the veggies and meat are cooked optimally - and that's a good thing. Have someone sign off on each order as QC'd so you can track who produces pizza complying with your standards and generating great reviews and who doesn't - so there is accountability for poor quality and mitigating it and also repeatability for good quality and rewarding performing employees. Also - I didn't see a tip jar or a place to add tip on the bill - perhaps what may incentivize the crew a little bit more is to add provisions for the customer to tip for in store purchases - maybe for online and phone orders you have a way for the customer to tip but not for in-store visits - which is what we did. I noticed that the store was well ventilated and was not hot while the working conditions seem very clean and sanitary - so that's a great thing. I really hope things change for the better - for selfish reasons - because I want to have a place where I can call in for some authentic Tuscan pizza - but I get it - if people with my preferences are not your niche and pricing positioning and feel that addressing these issues will not lead to a sustainable and successful market for your business - then that's ok too. I'll just have to go further than 3 miles. Hope your business all the success so you can provide more quality employment in the area and expand your reach in the future. After re-reading my review in an attempt to be fair and negate contrite - somehow I almost feel like I would say - so this place is not a good enough place for you - such a snob- And for that I'm sorry. Enjoy fellow yelpers who feel that you love this place - perhaps what happened to me was rare - continue loving Pizza Guys and hope you didn't come this far to read this review. read more

First time trying pizza guys I ordered online and notice I accidentally did pick up instead of delivery, I called and explained I was not sure if I ordered right. When I called, they had great customer service and changed it to delivery. It actually got here faster than I expected. The pizza and garlic bread rolls tasted way better than expected compared to their competition in the area. Tasted way better than Pizza Hut. Plus in my phit phat x a million journey, I know i don't have any business eating pizza cause I clearly have portion issues But this pizza right here is down right delicious AND just for ordering online I get a 20% discount. Food was quick! Great service. Ordered as intended. Everything was great tasting! Mango Habanero wings weren't as spicy as expected (more on the sweet side) but still very flavorful. Soo good! We had the Stuffed Crust with pepperoni and jalapeno, the Garlic Lovers and for my father in law, anchovy with onion and peppers. My family kept going for another slice . The crust has a perfect thickness and crunch to it. The garlic lovers is to die for. My father in law is pretty picky and he was jokingly doing the "happy cry" because he hasn't had anchovy pizza in years and he said it was great, for him to like something really speaks volumes. The pizza has alot of flavor and they have a wide variety of options including vegetarian options. Gonna have to try their pasta and other items next time, we will definitely be back.
