First time trying this place out and it probably won't be my last. Placed the order online for an 8pm pick up as I had some errands to run before picking it up. I was surprised when I got a text at 7:50 saying my order was ready as I was just finishing up at the grocery store and about 5 minutes away. I'm not a fan of my pizza just sitting there, even inside one of the warm bags so I got there as fast as I could. I realized they are located in the old Papa John's location. Parking was pretty easy. This really is a delivery or pick up only location. There were some chairs to sit in while you wait, but no place to eat. After getting home, the pizza looked great! They have cup and crisp pepperoni which, in my opinion, is the best way to have pepperoni on a pizza. They also have stuffed crust which is my fav! The large pizza seemed a little smaller than what other pizza places call large, but that didn't bother me that much. The challenge was it wasn't cut very well, or when it was sitting there, the cheese hardened just enough that you basically pulled out the crust and left the cheese attached to the remaining slices in the box. That made for a messy pizza slice. Overall, the pizza was excellent. Next time we might try some of the "apps" (what they call appetizers) as several come with bacon, and it's hard to go wrong when you add bacon to anything! read more

My husband and I tend to try different places, we saw this place had good rating but left there so unhappy. They gave me the total of what I had purchased but never told me They were going to charge me extra $27 just for gratitude. Aside from not tell us, my husband gave him tip and he did not even bother to say it was already included on the check. Gratitude for what? Place does not even have tables to eat in there. So, I mentioned to the young man at the counter that this was our first time ordering from Pizza Guys in Orange. His response was "your gonna love our pizza!". He was right, we really liked it and will absolutely be back. I already see other items I look forward to trying. This vist we ordered a thin crust veggie pizza with a cream sauce and added hamberger. Also, I asked that the pizza be cooked well. I also added an order of garlic cheese rolls. Because they are close by I just picked our order up and was suprised when I was told my order had a free 2 liter soda I could pick it out. We haven't bought pizza in a long time since we had gotten a wood burning pizza oven, but I felt like having pizza for dinner tonight and since it was getting late, I hopped onto Yelp to find a local and good pizza spot that we could order from. Pizza Guys was one of the first spots to pop up on my search - it had a good rating and it was close, so we decided to give them a try. We ordered an All Meat and a Combo with their original crust. Our order was ready SUPER FAST, and after picking up the pizzas, we took a little sneak peek at them and were very impressed! They both looked great and Pizza Guys definitely did not skimp on the toppings - my husband said the pizzas weighed a ton! Well, we got home and served ourselves right away since we were starving -- and Whoa! The pizzas were delicious!!! The crust was really good and the toppings were real tasty! Be sure to check out their specials on their website. We got two specialty pizzas for about $37 which was a deal for these pizzas. You could probably get cheaper pizzas at another chain like Pizza Hut, but the last time we ordered from them, the cheese and toppings were real skimpy! I literally took a bite of this pizza and I think I heard music playing somewhere! Located on Katella just west of Tustin behind Del Taco, Pizza Guys is located where papa John's used to be, easy to find. We always order a double pepperoni pizza, and Pizza Guys has the loved cup pepperonis available. Ordered a Large for $26, and headed on over. A very nice person helped me out when I got there. Pizza Guys offers garlic knots, sticks, and wings as well at decent prices. The picture I took explains everything. From reading up on this place they makes their dough and sauce fresh everyday, and you can taste it in the pizza. The sauce has a good seasoning to it, and the crust almost tasted fluffy it was so fresh, not stale at all! And what they got right is they loaded up this pizza with double pepperoni and the slices weren't soggy or over greased, this pizza was made perfect. What a great pizza experience! And what made it even better is they gave me a free 2 liter as we spent over $25. I think we have a new pizza spot. Seems like they took over a location that just couldn't cut it, though Papa John's is still doing fine elsewhere, so who knows. I've seen them in Laguna Hills and Huntington Beach, which are areas where people tend to spend more on quality, so that was promising. I've also done some DoorDash deliveries for them but never actually tried their food until now. Pricing Gimmicks & Ordering Experience Let's talk about the pricing trend that's been creeping in at pizza spots. You see a menu price--let's say $9.99--and think, Sweet, solid deal! But then you click, and turns out, that's for a small pizza. Want a large, which most people do? Boom--$30+. It's the same bait-and-switch Chick-fil-A does when they charge extra for basic toppings. Not a fan of the trick, but whatever--it's the game now. That said, we went with a large pizza (yes, shelled out for it) and grabbed a couple of varieties: BBQ Pizza - Here's where things got weird. Expected the usual sweet BBQ sauce situation, but they snuck in Frank's RedHot as a topping. Not what I was expecting. Some people at the table loved it, but others (especially those not into vinegar-heavy sauces) weren't into the surprise. Lesson learned--read the ingredients carefully. Pineapple Pizza - Absolutely nailed it. Nothing weird here, just solid ingredients, generous portions, and great flavor. Final Thoughts Portions were good, but not massive--a few people in our party could've eaten more, so next time, we might have to level up to the $40-$50+ range for a bigger order. They had email and text confirmation when our order was ready which was a plus. Theres no dining area just a walk in counter and drink fridge. We got a Large custom pizza on Original Signature Crust, Sweet BBQ Sauce, Mozzarella Cheese, Red Onion, Chicken, Jalapeño, Cilantro. $25.95 Feeds about 3-4 people or for two with leftovers the next day. It wasn't thick pizza crust but it wasn't thin either. It honestly was a perfect combo between toppings and crust. The ingredients were fresh and we asked for ranch. They only gave a small cup of it. We have tried a few things and these are our favorites: Cup & Crisp Pepperoni Duo with Stuffed Crust - I was raised on Pizza Hut Stuffed Crust and it still is near and dear to my heart, even though their pizza isn't great. I LOVE that this place has stuffed crust! We tried just regular pepperoni, and the cup & crisp on it's own...didn't feel like there was enough pepperoni coverage. The Duo is the way to go! It's perfect! Grilled Chicken Flatbread - This is soooo good! Love the gorgonzola cheese on it and the thinness of the flatbread. Wish it were bigger, when we have people over we order two of these. They should make this an option for a pizza! Cheezee Garlic Rolls - I think this is our favorite thing from Pizza Guys! It's like a cinnamon roll, but has loads of melty cheese, garlic sauce, and fresh garlic rolled up in the dough. YUM! Large portion too, we always have leftovers for a couple days. You can order sides of their garlic sauce, and I highly recommend you do. It's pricey, but what isn't these days? We are typically spending about $60 when we order from here, but, it lasts us DAYS.
