Pizza Hero is a pizza bus located in the parking lot of Protectworth Brewing. They serve New Haven Style Pizza, so you should expect a thin crust and a small amount of char around the edge. We had the white pizza, was nice and garlicky with a good amount of ricotta. The pizza was not huge, but was still worth the price. There are QR codes at the bar and at the tables in the brewery, and once you order and pay on your phone, your pizza is delivered directly to your table. Friends of ours ordered takeout from Pizza Hero Bus while we were visiting. I sampled the Cheese and Tomato Pie slices. These are well-balanced pies with dough that's doughy, but not too doughy--thin, but not too thin. Generous amounts of cheese and especially sauce! Stopped by for a quick lunch and a beer. The owner came out to greet us personally and talk about us being from New Haven CT. We hold our pizza in high regards and I have to say this was a great experience. We ordered a red clam pizza with bacon and it was delicious. Cheery dough, tangy sauce, solid amount of toppings. I live in Eastman, 6 minutes away from Pizza Hero. I was directed to wait for the text message saying my pizza (pepperoni) was done. When I got home with my pizza it was cold and soggy. I have eaten a lot of different restaurant pizzas in my time since growing up in Northern New Jersey. The world knows the tastiest pizza comes from the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut tri-state area. This pizza up in New Hampshire is the closest i have tasted thus far to the tri-state area pizza. I also recommend Rocco's pizza in the Manchester/Merrimack area. Pizza hero and its employees should be mighty proud of their product. Bravo. When the pizza is tasty and agrees with me, all else really doesn't friggin matter IMO. read more

The food continues to amaze me! I love the simple pepperoni. My wife likes the Margarita. As sad as it sounds, my wife and I have begun to plan our weekends around which night we're visiting the Pizza Hero Bus. We limit ourselves to once per weekend. I'll start by saying the pizzas were good and I would recommend them. However, they are medium sized at best and there is nowhere on their website that indicates the size of their pies, nor is there anything in the website pics of the pies that provide any baseline to gauge their size. Indeed, the size of the pie held by the guy in their Yelp photo is not the size of the pie you order, so that's a little misleading. We ordered two pies for three people expecting to have leftovers, but ended up hungry with no leftovers. We should have ordered three pies. The other recommendation I have is to wait nearby for their text indicating that your pies are ready. We aren't far away but by the time we got to the bus and brought the pies home, they were cold. Good overall, but before we ordered I wish we knew what we know now. read more

first off they blocked me on instagram when I left criticism for them. Secondly I showed up on a Tuesday night when it was 7:40 20 minutes before closing and the guy comes and slams the door in my face and says we are closed.Outtight rude of him when the hours said closing at 8! 1 star for this place / bus as they had terrible service and actually rejected there customers before they were closed ! read more
