Pizza Hut is one of my favourite places to eat, and let me tell you why!
1) The starter:
There are now an interesting range of fair-priced, tasty starters available. From good old fashioned bbq chicken, to fancier Italian dishes, there's something for everyone's fancy. Spin rolls are very tasty, and there's garlic bread for the boring!
2)The main:
The range of pizzas isn't huge, but I don't think it needs to be. I normally go for a large stuffed crust meat feast. My thinking is it has all the toppings you can imagine. I've only ever tried one other, which is the new steak pizza, and this should be avoided. The size of the steak pieces is tiny - finding it is like looking at a 'where's wally' book.
You can make your own pizza from toppings of your choice, and split a pizza 50/50 with different toppings on different sides. It really is up to the customer - they never moan when your list for just one pizza is as long as your arm.
For those who don't like pizza, there are some unappetising looking bolognases, and also the salad bowls, but why come to pizza hut if you're not eating at least a bit of pizza?
Dessert:
The desserts have improved a lot recently too. In particular, you can get a cooked, piping hot, melting chocolate cookie with cream. It's huge and fills a whole dish, costs a fiver, but feeds two.
Drinks:
Many of the drinks are free refils, meaning you drink about 6 glasses but only pay for one. The staff are trained to wait a little while before coming round to collect top-up orders, but the clever waiters who know their way to a good tip will top you up all day long!
Service:
Pizza Hut is the closest some of us will ever get to posh. The waiters seat you, constantly check on you, and take your orders politely. They're a young crowd (mostly students) but they're always really nice which is something I can't say of a lot of places.
Price:
It's not cheap, but it's not expensive either. A big meal for 4 will cost around £50 tops, and that includes starters or desserts. £12.50 a head is probably the average cost when we go.
Over all, I go back to Pizza Hut time and time again because of the service. You know you'll be looked after well, in a nice environment, and it won't cost the earth. read more
