From what I can gather, the menu is mostly French (apart from the pizza options), and they also have some daily specials written on a chalkboard that the waiter explains after you get seated. I came here last Thursday for dinner with some coworkers before heading down the street to Almodobar for some drinks. There was no one else in the restaurant yet when we arrived at 6:30 pm, so we got our pick of a table by the window. Dinner came with a bread basket and small cup of what looked like pea soup with a breadstick. It was a bit strange to be drinking warm soup out of a little glass cup, but the soup was still a tasty start. I chose one of their specialities--a flank steak with a red onion sauce and Pommes Allumettes for CHF 35,00. The steak was juicy and delicious, and I was a bit surprised that the thinner cut was not tough nor dry at all. Perfectly cooked and much better than some flank steaks I've had elsewhere in the past. I also learned that Pommes Allumettes are very thin, tiny French fries. I think I actually prefer the thicker "regular" ones, as I actually like tasting more potato and found the teeny ones to be quite salty and oily. All washed down with a lovely bottle of Barbera d'Asti wine and some refreshing tap water, it was a good meal and a pleasant place to linger for a nice chat with friends. I didn't get dessert this time, but I've had the homemade tarte Tatin with vanilla ice cream on a previous visit, and it was delicious. It's a upside-down tart with fruit that is caramelized in butter and sugar before the tart is baked.
