Wasn't expecting much but turned out to be great. Very Parisian experience with prix fixe menu including a bottle of wine. Returned to Paris for our 25th anniversary and came back. Just as we remembered from before. Food was great if a bit routine but great experience. A little out of the way with a two or three block walk from nearest Metro station (Trinite d'Estienne d'Orves). No outdoor seating. Menu offered in English and our waiter did speak some, grudgingly. Unfortunately he was unimpressed with my efforts to speak French. I will go back again, though.

I…read moreoriginally saw it featured on The Fork and was eager to try it, even though it was on the complete opposite end of town. My husband ordered a terrine to start, and I ordered a tomato confit. Originally the waiter tried to tell him something about the rabbit terrine, but after realizing that French was not our premier language he just walked away. It still sort of haunts me- I can't help but wonder what he was saying. My tomato confit was okay, albeit a bit heavy in raw fennel. My husbands terrine honestly tasted like bland cat food. There was nothing redeeming about it at all, and he is very of terrine/pâté. For our main courses my husband got the duck, and I got the pasta with octopus. Yet again, my husband's was really not good. Unfortunately a lot of it was vastly undercooked... I'm not even saying it was a little too pink, it was so raw that it was cold and difficult to cut with a knife. By that point his spirit was completely broken so he didn't mention anything about it... instead we made a pact to get him some food afterwards. However, my pasta was AMAZING. The octopus was perfectly tender and it paired so well with the light tomato sauce. It was actually one of the better things that I had on our trip in general. So, there you have it... 3 stars because I had a 5 star time and my husband had a 1 star time.
