Service was incredibly slow, but the wait staff was very friendly. Everyone in our group did the three course special which was a really good deal. I started with the fondue which was good. The bread was seasoned well with garlic and warm. The cheese was warm and not too salty. I had the chicken Calabrese as the main which was lovely. It was not too spicy at all. The potato was cooked perfectly and the sauce was a perfect balance of tomato and other spices. I ordered the berry sundae which was delicious and a not too heavy dessert compacted to some of the other options. Overall this was a good spot for a night out with friends and was an excellent bang for your buck.

Having recently had pizza I decided to order chips and chicken strips - they had no chicken strips so I ordered stuffed mushrooms... the mushrooms were ok but the chips, or twisty fries or whatever they were, were practically inedible. They were soggy and undercooked. The whole thing was overpriced and I ended up paying something like 13 euro for this meal that was fairly rotten. It was just horrible - we should have queued for Eddie Rockets!

Tonight I went and tried Dante Pizza for the first time, I know it has a couple of other locations in Dublin but I've always passed them by, and now I know why. I'll get the service out of the way quickly as in my opinion the girl who had served us tonight did an outstanding job in giving a friendly service and it was the food that let her down in a big way. So onto the experience of the food and drink. Dante's has an okay selection of drinks but I went with a simple Pepsi which was quite small in terms of the price we paid, and I know in some places its just pour straight from a can but this was about half the size of that! I went with the baked doughballs as a starter and I've had them in similar establishments and these where just pour in terms of taste, as in there was none. But then it had me thinking "oh yeah! Its a pizza place, so at least that will be decent" and oh boy was I wrong, I don't think I've tasted a pizza this bad before and saying that there wasn't much to taste yet again as it also lacked in the flavour department.
