First place we went to was closed, so glad it was because we would've never found this amazing spot while traveling! The owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. He spoke English, which made us feel at home. The beers were nice and cold and the veggie pizza was amazing. It was the best we have had in Europe so far. Thank you!!!

Within minutes more of us arrived until we filled the upper room. This seemed to overwhelm the gentleman waiting on us. The first sign was when we asked if we could move the tables closer together. This disturbed him greatly so we ended up just talking within our smaller groups. We then ordered drinks and appetizers. A 2021 MASSERIA LAVEL Italian red wine was nice. First bottle was perfect. The second was around room temperature so could have been chilled a little. We ordered a nice bruschetta plate and an antipasto plate for the apps. Bread was nice and crisp with fresh toppings. The antipasto plate contained a wide variety of items that had something for everyone - a variety of meats, cheeses, shrimp, mushrooms, etc. For my main dish I ordered the grilled fish platter. GRIGLIATA DI PESCE Fischgrillteller aus Lachs, Garnelen, Tintenfisch & Fischfilet des Tages It contained calamari, giant prawn, grilled salmon and a white fish. It came with a salad on the side with a nice balsamic vinegar on top. This was the perfect addition and balanced nicely with the fi Comments from my coworkers were mixed - pizza was good - lasagna was good but had very little meat - the risotto was actually just rice. While the food was very good, the waiter was very insistent that we order in the correct order: drinks, appetizers, main. One in our party requested another appetizer after the main was ordered and was told "NEIN!" My colleagues we surprised at the rudeness but I guess when you're this highly rated and it's after hours, you're entitled to doing things a certain way. While I thought the meal was worth it, that may be off putting to you. I think I now have a story to tell - great meal and a "soup n@zi" (Seinfeld reference) for a waiter.
