I was excited to try this place as it is near my house, but there is better sushi available in…read moreStuttgart (Sushi Ya is my top choice!). A quick summary:
Nice atmosphere but distracted service. I watched my beers sit on the counter for several minutes before they were brought over, I ordered 2 Gyoza and only got one, etc.
the Gyoza were very good and the dipping sauce nice.
The sushi itself was one-note. Spicy tuna not spicy and the rice a bit over cooked, missing that sexy "pop" of well done sushi rice. In addition something weird was happening with the soy sauce--it was either watered down or sugar added. It was bland and odd.
Overall, it was fresh but bland and all just went to mush in my mouth. I might return if a group was going but for sushi I am making the trip downtown for Sushi Ya.
