First things first, we spoke solely on French so this is not a case of two Americans frustrated by…read moreFrench people. We live here now so you can trust this is a true French experience. The patron was rude. We asked for a table. He just said it's "complete," meaning there's no tables, but it came off as basically "just leave." Then there's an ad hoc line outside (in the cold). Finally we get let in. We order one pizza and 2 sodas. The waiter forgets one soda. We ask again. Nothing. 3rd time. Nothing. 4th time with a little more forcefulness. By then we finished our meal and the second soda finally arrives. We suggest he should take it off the bill, explaining it took 20 minutes and asking 4 times. He mutters something incoherent. We then go to pay and, of course, they charge us the 5 euros for one soda (half the price of the pizza itself btw). They refuse to take off the charge. I explain again. The waiter then says "but you got the soda." That's when the French got real good and we told them they were extremely rude. They didn't care. So that's the service. The pizza was mediocre at best, not even close to what others are saying. Maybe the French are just so starved for a decent piece of pizza, this place achieves that illusion. But it's not good. It's not Italy or NYC. It's France. And if this is the best they have to offer, go get a nice piece of fish somewhere else. But it's cheap. Just like their service.

They got the crust right but what's with the weird wholly none traditional cheese used on "pizza" throughout Normandy? Portions were smaller. Only three choices for dessert which we found quite common here. Zero English spoken. Lots of smoking in the outdoor area that made its way into the dining room. The local Cidré they served was awful. So many other better options in town.
