I didn't realize until it was right in front of me that it didn't have any cheese, which meant that it was a seriously dry slice of 'za. Some dipping sauce or hot oil might've helped but nothing of the sort was available. Despite these issues, I basically enjoyed this concoction. The bready crust is pretty tasty and the hot sliced meat on top was delicious. Would I ever want to eat this again? Probably not, but I wasn't upset that I ordered it. In the future, I think I'll just stick with regular, conventional pizza. But in fairness, my dining companion was over the moon eating this stuff, so your mileage may vary.

I ordered online on their website for pick up and the process was easy. I hadn't heard of Red Swan before as they aren't found in Toronto but near the burbs. This one is at the edge of Toronto by Steeles and Dufferin. So it was great to know they're a Canadian-owned chain from their pizza box. I don't usually order pizza takeout, so I was surprised when they turned out to be smaller than I expected, more like personal sizes. Luckily, I got two! About $6-7 for cheese and pepperoni respectively and then $8.25 for most of the other multiple topping pizzas. I'm not too sure the cost of building you're own pizza, but I imagine fairly similar. The pizza is a long oval shape - almost like a flattened penny you'd get at those souvenir places. They then cut the pizza lengthwise into about 6 pieces so it's easy to eat. This is nice as both times I've been here I was with my kids and it made it easy to share. They also offer a few other non-pizza things such as perogies and sausage. Overall, it's not groundbreaking in terms of concept or quality, but still an easy and affordable option for pizza and also knowing it's always fresh.
