Figuring out the registration of your reservation prior to entry was a little tricky and chaotic but it eventually worked out fine. Tonight though, in my opinion the crust was not best in class. I found it to be excessively doughy around the edges and soggy in the bottom. Without a great crust as a base any great pizza is doomed to underperform. I will try the world nbr 2 ranked pizza place in the world, Una Pizza Neopolitana,, also owned by the same group, when I'm back in New York to see how their crust performs. Honestly, it turned out to be some of the best pizza I've had in my life. Maybe it was the drinks talking, but I don't think so. We went back two nights in a row just to be sure. First night I had the Diavolo pizza spicy, crispy, perfectly balanced. Second night I tried the Cacio e Pepe pizza, which was rich and cheesy in the best way possible. Both were phenomenal. The vibe is awesome too. Inside feels almost like a big beer hall with tons of energy, while outside has more of a casual café feel. Even at 2-3 in the morning, the staff was super attentive and chill. We even had a bottle of wine with our pizzas one night, which made for the perfect nightcap. If you're in Sorrento and find yourself out late, or even if you're just craving amazing pizza, DeFranco is an absolute must. One of the greatest finds I've come across anywhere.

You need to pay for water. There's no free bread or anything. When you ask them, they say it was on the menu and they don't show you where it is. Since they left a menu at the door, I then looked and it was in the second page in SMALL light orange letter on a GLOSSY white menu. You can barely read it but if you place around with the lighting ant holding the menu in different angles then you will see it. I read such awesome review by others so I want to try it. Don't believe the review about the pizza. You are simple paying for an overly expensive, glorified bread that barely has topics and cheese. See my pictures. The pizza is small and cost 30-50% more than other places. In some cases, I don't even know if you can call it a pizza. I should have know when it's prime dinner time and there's only one other table.
