Even though we were a bit early, we were given a table, a glass of wine, and allowed to wait until opening time. Our waiter was utterly charming, and spoke enough English to help us, and then the food!! The meal was fantastic. I know there are many good restaurants in France, however, if you are in this area, treat yourself to one of the great ones in terms of service, quality, and setting. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very calming and cozy. There is a fireplace and cozy seating. The food was very good, except for the andouillette (which my BF got), but not because it was bad: its just a taste I am not used to. I got the steak tartare and it was very good. I liked how they let you mix the ingredients in the meat per the amount you prefer. THEY ALSO HAVE BLACK SALT FROM HAWAII, which I thought was really a nice touch, and gave the plate an artistic look. It was a beautiful day. The sun started shining and everyone was strolling around. After a lovely…read moreday of seeing the castles and the beautiful churches we decided it was time to settle down in a nice outdoor cafe and have a glass of wine. We mixed up our order (or the garcon did)? My wife insists on the later. Nonetheless to sit out and enjoy the break in the weather and watch the people stroll by was wonderful. We liked it so much that we went back for dinner partly due to the fact that most of Dieppe was closed on Monday. It was nice.
