We recently moved out of state but Pizzeria Limone will always be one of our must-visit spots whenever we're back. My college finance professor was an early investor and always talked about their founders who were true artisan bakers. I believe it! This location is a favorite, especially because they offer the Italian floats! We ordered: * Margarita Pizza (8.5/10 -- bumped up once you add the balsamic glaze) * Caprese Pizza (12/10 -- absolute perfection) * Divino Pizza (15/10 -- we had it as an appetizer and I nearly passed out, it was that good) * Plus the blackberry Italian float, which was the perfect sweet finish. Me and my wife found this place last month and have been back 5 times. Everything is incredibly fresh, delicious, and very affordable. Kids get free ice cream under 10 and it's the type pizza where you don't feel gross and bloated after like most pizza. We have only enjoyed Pizzeria Limone for delivery, so I can't speak about the ambiance or service, but their pizza is amazing! My favorite is actually the Limone Pizza, with olive oil but no other sauce, delicious cheeses, red onions, basil, and sliced lemons. Yes, lemons! Their Caesar salad is also incredible with shaved Parmesan and a very tasty herb Caesar dressing. read more

It's been almost nine years since my first review of this spot, and after just having dinner there I thought it was high time to revisit. I think much of what I mentioned before still stands--the decor, the creative menu, the fast casual nature--enough of the landscape has changed that there are a few things that are worth mentioning. First of all, the competitive landscape is different. Pizzeria Limone was one of the first in Utah to do the walk-down-the-line fast casual pizza thing, and a few years later the invasion of other concepts began. I like pizza, I like fast casual, so this was probably inevitable and fine by me, but you really have to do something to stand out in the pantheon of great fast casual pizza spots and so you'll probably need a couple of visits to really figure out what might set them apart. Second, and obviously, the pricing has changed. You're really around $ $10 for most pies, some a bit cheaper, but that's not totally unexpected or unwarranted. Third, I thought some COVID info would be handy. They have a ton of seating in there and it doesn't look to be cordoned off (not sure what it was before the recent relaxation of restrictions) so tonight we got it to go. But the staff was properly masked and gloved and there was sanitizer at checkout and signage to keep you away from the glass. I think we did it right, by doing takeout. You can also get a pizza making kit to go and that is a really great option if you're a DIY type but like, not totally DIY. We go the Pera (now a permanent fixture on the menu) and a classic margherita. I liked the Pera, but I can respecte a good margherita and this was a good iteration of that. This pizza is better than all of the fine dining Italian restaurants I've been to. Their tomato sauce is the best I've ever had. When I lived in another state this is the place I craved more than anything. Their Sicilian pear lemonade is INSANELY GOOD. And I honestly just get their cheese pizza and it's absolutely phenomenal. It's a little pricey but 100% worth it. The service is decent. Hit or miss. The ambiance is a little modern and white wall for my liking but it's not terrible. I've never seen a fast-service made-to-order pizza place before and I wouldn't have thought it would work, but it does and it's amazing! You order your pizza and they build it in front of you, like an Italian version of Chipotle, then throw it in their rotating stone oven and its ready in no time. The best part is the unique menu. We had the Pera pizza, which has sliced pears and pistachios on it, and the Banh Mi, which had Siracha pork, jalapenos, and marinated carrot and daikon. They were amazing. We also had their delicious flavored lemonade and a brownie, which is topped with lemon buttercream. I will be returning soon. read more

While there's no dining in during the current COVID-19/Trump-made debacle, Pizzeria Limone (PL) has a nice, clean, fast-casual dining area that's we've frequented several times. Now, they're not missing a beat with fast, free home delivery. I've had the opportunity to try a lot at this location, less than a mile from my house, and they've never let me down. PL's offerings are consistent in quality at every location I've been to (something I haven't been able to say for places like Este, the Pie, and other non-pizza places like Cafe Rio). All pizza comes in the Neapolitan-style, which requires tomatoes grown on the volcanic plains to the south of Mount Vesuvius and hand-cut Mozzarella di Bufala Campana (Water Buffalo mozzarella from southern Italy). It's a rich, distinct taste you won't get, even at good places like The Pie. Let's get down to the food! There's the house pizza, the Limone: Olive oil base, garlic, five cheeses, sliced lemons, red onion and basil. it's a rich, subtle flavor with a lovely lip-puckering tang of lemon. If you're wanting to go a bit lighter, I'd recommend the Caprese. While it may or may not be lower in calories and fat, the combo of and olive oil base, garlic, five cheeses, balsamic vinegar and glaze, red onion, sliced tomatoes, and basil will leave to ready to frolic in the fields (let's face it, almost every pizza makes you want to take a nap!). The tasty Margherita -- five cheeses, olive oil, garlic, red onion, grape tomatoes, and basil -- will also leave you with the same light-on-your-feetness. Meat lovers will go crazy for the dry salami of the Secca, the pepperoni of the well, Pepperoni; the prosciutto (and pears!) of the Pera; and the house-blend sausage of the Salsiccia. Speaking of that house-blend sausage, I recently discovered that you can add PL to the very short-list of "Pizza Places that Make Awesome Salads." Their Italiana has miraculously found a way to make garbanzo beans, kidney beans, and beets mesh together in a delicious salad. I have a feeling that the fresh greens, sausage, warming of the tasty Fresno peppers, mozzarella, homemade blue cheese vinaigrette, and fresh beans and beets may all have something to do with it. I said it once, I'll say it again .... DELICIOUS! So if you're stuck at home and want pizza delivery, why don't you get the good stuff? read more

This is the second time I've had a bad experience with Pizzeria Limone, the first time they gave me the wrong pizza and the second time I come here at 7:15pm when both Google and Yelp say close at 8, and they locked the doors and said they were closed and already started mopping the floors. In the last 3 times I ordered ahead , every single time I needed to wait 30-50 minutes after the time was given to me on the phone, after I already get there , later than they told me over the phone. Last time they told me 40 minutes, I got there 50 minutes later , when checked on my order they told me another 30-40 minutes, after I already paid . I canceled the order , right away . My new obsesson is their orange vinaigrette, I've gone every week for the last few weeks to purchase the small containers, I dip SO many things in it, along with use it for my salads at home. Just yesterday, when I went to make my purchase, they refused the sell it to me, stating that I may only have one and only with the purchase of salad. The food is really good I have to say that, so far it's good at least. From the attitudes of their employees, it seems like this place will at some point start declining and then lose a high amount of business. Speaking of losing business, I know LOTS of people who have said they will never return to Pizza Limone, because of the bad, negative, and mean customer service for your employees. Hungry for pizza tonight we decided to try Pizzeria Limone in Fort Union. I noticed it had opened recently since I work just up the street but hadn't had the chance to try it yet. Inside Pizzeria Limone has a contemporary look with ample amounts of stainless steel throughout including the tables and chairs, modern light fixtures, cool tile work, and a subdued color palette. Of course the real attraction is the pizza... Pizzeria Limone is like Cafe Rio for pizza. When you enter the restaurant you walk into the queue where friendly employees ask what you'd like and then prepare your pizza as you wait. If you'd like more cheese or some extra sausage, just ask and then'll add it right then and there. Once your pizza is prepared to your liking it enters a rotating oven where it is baked to perfection and ready for you by the time you reach the cash register. Grab some drinks, maybe a salad, a gelato for desert and you're set. I ordered the pepperoni, wanting something simple tonight and Kimberly opted for something more elaborate featuring lots of veggies and some pepperoni for good measure. Within minutes our pizzas were ready and served up for our hungry stomachs. The foundation of any good pizza is the crust and I've been disappointed many times by less than great crusts. Much to my delight Pizzeria Limone doesn't disappoint in this category. The crust was great! As it turns out, the owner of Pizzeria Limone is a baker by trade and operated a popular chain of bakeries in the 1990s. The excellent quality and taste of the crust at Pizzeria Limone speaks to this heritage. Complimenting the great crust, all of the other ingredients on our pizzas were similarly excellent, fresh and with excellent flavor. For desert we had chocolate and raspberry gelato, both of which were excellent. Although Salt Lake City has no lack of pizza establishments Pizzeria Limone sets itself apart with great food served up in a unique way (unique for pizza anyway.) Visiting from out of town and stopped in for dinner tonight. Love the atmosphere! Open and spacious seating, comfortable, coke fountain drinks and Pellagreno sodas. Let's get to the deliciousness: Limone Pizza, amazing, perfectly crisp, excellent balance of toppings. Who knew Lemon could be wow on a pizza! Caprese Salad, fresh, so gourmet, basalmic drizzle for dipping crusty. Caesar Salad is the bomb, the dressing is stellar! Creamy with basil I think, had to go back for more. Staff was friendly, helpful, and seemed to have a contagious positive vibe. Restaurant was clean and well organized. I wish they had one of these in my home town. This is less about the food at Pizzeria Limone and is instead about the absurd customer "service". I ordered food for 3 people: two personal pizzas and a stuffed Portobello. They were apparently out of the Portobello and so simply didn't charge me for it. They did not bother to call me to let me know that they were out and ask if I would like something else. I found out from the DoorDash Driver about 5 minutes before we received our food. We were starving by then and only had food for 2. I tried to call the restaurant to complain and got an answering machine without the option of leaving a message. Never again. read more

We used to really love eating here. The pizza was so good and the service was attentive. Lately that has not been the case. I don't blame the employees, it seems they haven't been trained well, or maybe at all. It was not that busy but there were several people just standing waiting for their orders. We waited over 30 minutes for our pizza and salad, that would have been fine if the pizza was good, but unfortunately when we did finally receive the pizza it was so cold, the cheese on the pizza was just hard solid blobs. On top of this the restaurant was dirty, and the employees were touching hair, their face and then food. It seems to me that the management/owner doesn't take pride in their local business anymore, which is very sad considering we know how good it can be. read more

12/9/17 updated review I'm actually really unimpressed with my visit today. I walked up the counter with my husband and the employees just ignored us. They seemed busy but didn't say "we will be right with you" or anything. We proceeded to stand there for about 1 minute before one guy asked if he could help us. They seemed really disorganized and didn't seem to really appreciate our business. When the food came out, 2/3 pizzas weren't warm. The other locations seem to be better than this one. The pizzas just aren't like they used to be and I think the staff needs an attitude change. read more

Tonight was the 3rd order in the row that was messed up/ not just messed up but didn't include what the menu says is on your pizza order. Patrons of this pizza place wouldn't mind to pay extra to have high quality made the way they used to. This was the first time in over 4 years that my wife and I didn't finish our pizza's.
