    Limone Pizza

Unique pizza place! I never thought of having different kind of fruits on the pizza! Very local and nice place! Their service were very fast and friendly staffs. My friends introduced that place. My favorite is Viola pizza because I like semi-sweet and its light plus thin crust! Must try that place!

While there's no dining in during the current COVID-19/Trump-made debacle, Pizzeria Limone (PL) has a nice, clean, fast-casual dining area that's we've frequented several times. Now, they're not missing a beat with fast, free home delivery. I've had the opportunity to try a lot at this location, less than a mile from my house, and they've never let me down. PL's offerings are consistent in quality at every location I've been to (something I haven't been able to say for places like Este, the Pie, and other non-pizza places like Cafe Rio). All pizza comes in the Neapolitan-style, which requires tomatoes grown on the volcanic plains to the south of Mount Vesuvius and hand-cut Mozzarella di Bufala Campana (Water Buffalo mozzarella from southern Italy). It's a rich, distinct taste you won't get, even at good places like The Pie. Let's get down to the food! There's the house pizza, the Limone: Olive oil base, garlic, five cheeses, sliced lemons, red onion and basil. it's a rich, subtle flavor with a lovely lip-puckering tang of lemon. If you're wanting to go a bit lighter, I'd recommend the Caprese. While it may or may not be lower in calories and fat, the combo of and olive oil base, garlic, five cheeses, balsamic vinegar and glaze, red onion, sliced tomatoes, and basil will leave to ready to frolic in the fields (let's face it, almost every pizza makes you want to take a nap!). The tasty Margherita -- five cheeses, olive oil, garlic, red onion, grape tomatoes, and basil -- will also leave you with the same light-on-your-feetness. Meat lovers will go crazy for the dry salami of the Secca, the pepperoni of the well, Pepperoni; the prosciutto (and pears!) of the Pera; and the house-blend sausage of the Salsiccia. Speaking of that house-blend sausage, I recently discovered that you can add PL to the very short-list of "Pizza Places that Make Awesome Salads." Their Italiana has miraculously found a way to make garbanzo beans, kidney beans, and beets mesh together in a delicious salad. I have a feeling that the fresh greens, sausage, warming of the tasty Fresno peppers, mozzarella, homemade blue cheese vinaigrette, and fresh beans and beets may all have something to do with it. I said it once, I'll say it again .... DELICIOUS! So if you're stuck at home and want pizza delivery, why don't you get the good stuff?

Margarita Napoli with portobello mushrooms, double pepperoni, kalameta olives added

Exceptional pizza and salads at a level you would not expect at an airport. A few legit Italian people working at this place, very fresh ingredients, perfect pizza dough, pleasant service and interactions. Love that this is here and can't believe I've overlooked it in so many trips to SLC. Hope this business continues to thrive in the difficult and demanding travel focused food dimension. Grazie for the meal and the wonderful energy by the guy taking my order and making pizzas! More of this in the universe per favore!

I'm a vegetarian and ordered a margarita Napoli. You can clearly see my order in the receipt and I got a pizza loaded up with meat. Will never understand how you mess that up?

Pera pizza: with prosciutto, basil, pears, pistachios, red onion, and artichokes.

I got this pizza grubhubbed to me and it was so yummy! I'm a fan of Pizzeria Limone and I always get the pera pizza. This time I had them add artichokes and that was a delicious idea. These pizzas are a bit pricy, but if you want a splurge on some good pie then it's worth it. I smashed the entire thing.....

Excellent pizza! Topping combinations and crust are always delicious. Always a cut above all of the other standard pizza joints.

I usually leave the crust behind at pizza joints, but this one was perfect and I enjoyed every bite! Friendly and quick service. We did the Yelp check in from the hotel, had a 10-20 minute wait show on app. Got there in 10 minutes and were seated right away. I would definitely return.

It's gotten so bad, we thought they changed hands. When manager Joey McDowel called, I told him we already decided not to return after being almost weekly customers for over a year. Food & service changed & are no longer good. He ignored me & said since we got 2 different pepperoni pizzas that were both missing pepperoni, they couldn't make us happy & we shouldn't bother going back! I had already made it clear that after our last visit, we had no intention of going back, so there was no need for his call, but he continued by threatening me with trespass if we ever go there again! WHO THE HELL TRAINED THIS INFANTILE BABY? He must be a relative, or he'd never have this job. He is not suited & too big for his tiny little britches. My husband is furious, he's going to corporate & the owners, he couldn't believe what he heard. We're in our 70's, our son is a classically trained chef who liked the pizza here until it wasn't good, my family owned bars & restaurants for years & my husband & I have eaten our way around the world twice but have never been insulted over a pizza. We know Skackwater puts pepperoni under the cheese, it's not rocket science or anything new, but when there is ZERO pepperoni, there is ZERO pepperoni. That's not our fault; it's the fault of Slackwater & managers like Joey who only make things worse. He has 0 people skills & his threatening demeanor is concerning. He was there for the 4-hour episode, where like criminals trying to prove our innocence, we had to rip off hunks of dough & hold them up to prove pizza #1 had only sauce, no cheese, then scrap the cheese off pizza #2 to prove there was no pepperoni underneath & that was after waiting almost 2 hours for them to arrive! After that Joey offered to comp the pizzas & admitted they were having problems in the kitchen. We declined remakes because my husband was waiting at home for his dinner, we were exhausted & just wanted to go. Joey forgot to put in the to-go pizza & we waited another hour for that! No comps, but we paid & left. The to-go pizza looked like a burnt hockey puck. I called & got yet ANOTHER manager who said she'd put a gift card at the front desk that would cover our food, alcohol & something extra for the time we spent, it should have been over $100. We waited 6 weeks & went back, but no gift card. Joey stupidly let it slip that they make so many gift cards for people who never come back that they throw them away every few weeks. That said it all for me! At our revisit, we spent over an hour being interrogated by another manager, she came back 3 times asking for details. We had no time to talk, eat or relax, at one point I told her to forget the gift card, it wasn't worth the hassle. I had spent time pulling up dates, texts & pictures for her & after 2 hours she disappeared & only left us a $50 gift card, 1/2 of what we spent! Bad business. I wasn't going to fight with these people; they make lame excuses & do what they want, so we paid & left. They have no idea how to run a restaurant & apparently don't know what repeat business is worth, which is sad, because people won't keep paying for poor service & bad food. Eventually the Herriman franchise will either change hands or go under. The final straw came Saturday. Against my better judgement after being called by family members who were driving through UT & wanted to make a fast stop at our house for dinner, I called Slackwater to order pizza so they could eat & get quickly back on the road. We ordered 1 cheese, 1 Ironhorse & 1 pepperoni with extra cheese, we got other stuff, but this is about pizza. I got an Ironhorse & 2 PLAIN CHEESE pizzas! All 3 were small & burnt. When I called, I was told to look under the cheese! OMG, we get that Slackwater puts pepperoni under the cheese, we ate there almost every week for a year & told them we had done a full search of the pizza before we called, but there was ZERO pepperoni! We didn't have time to wait for another pizza, so I declined a remake. A manager got on & offered to take the pizzas off our bill. I still don't see the credit & probably never will. Joey never said let me speak to the kitchen, sorry for the 3-hour wait, sometimes when things get busy a topping or an entire order gets forgotten or even, I'm sure things will be better if you try again. NO, Joey chose instead to threaten me, so I wouldn't go there again if Joey paid me to go. There are too many places to dine in this area where we enjoy the food & service. Slackwater is closer, but we'd rather travel than come in contact with a man so unstable he thinks it's best to threaten senior citizens, than make things right when he's the one who made the mistake. After his remarks, we don't feel safe going there. If he gets fired, the kitchen & service will most likely return to normal.

Once we walked inside we were hit with loud live music. It's usually not a problem but let me re-emphasize LOUD. Even after placing our order and finding a spot away from the covered patio where the performer was playing, we couldn't hear each other talking at normal volume. It also didn't help they guy only played Coldplay and Radiohead songs. The interior had a lot of flair on the walls and was fun to look at. We sat near a 'Pi' wall where they had tons of stickers about Pi. They had plenty of seating even for large parties. The employee taking our order at the counter was very friendly and patient as we looked over the menu for the first time and asked some questions. We ended up ordering some bread and pizza. I was excited to have linguica as a topping as it's been a long time since I've seen it at a place. Unfortunately, it wasn't spiced as I've been accustomed to and it tasted mostly like uncooked pork. We also thought they screwed up our order as we got a green pepper, linguica and pepperoni pizza...with the pepperonis nowhere to be found. We then discovered the pepperonis were UNDER the cheese while the other two toppings were on top of the cheese. Pepperoni is 10x better when the perimeter gets a little crispy and the pepperoni cups up...instead it was flat soggy pepperoni under the cheese. None of us particularly liked the pizza that much and we had to make an impromptu decision to make up for the disappointment next door at the ice cream parlor.
