This Christmas we had a good friend accompany us to my parents, so we put him up here. Although it is located in such a small place, it really has outstanding facilities. The rooms are nicely appointed; there is a wellness center with swimming pool, a large breakfast room, and a great restaurant. It often caters to conventions. The breakfast consists of a large buffet which had a variety of breads, jams, cold cuts, cheeses, fish, and yogurts as well as different styles of eggs. It was even champagne along with other juices. We visited the restaurant one night and I was amazed that the waiter recognized Jack and me from our visit approximately one year ago. I even received a glass of port with my foie gras appetizer. The food is delicious and the service superb. The ambience is a typical rustic elegance.

For dessert I had fried apple cakes with vanilla ice-cream and an assortment of fruits, which was ok (I was not so keen on the oil used in the batter). Worscht Company was awesome! I was really hungry for dinner and got a Giga combo (2 sausages large…read morefries and a drink), I was absolutely stuffed, it was a great deal. I got their pork sausage, which they said was regionally more popular although not the traditional currywurst; either way it was great. I love spicy food, even nuclear hot - I got their 8 out of 10 and I'd describe it as "very hot" but not "insane". Their 10 is probably "insane". On a beautiful spring Friday night at 7pm the line was about ~10 minutes, and all the tables were full but as a single I was able to share with another, it wouldn't be too much of a wait to get a seat. Ok. So... this is a mixed review. The service, great. The sausage, great! The spice level we chose…read morewas low and was ok, we could have been more adventurous. The reason it's a mixed review is that we didn't really know that the main sauce tastes like ketchup with curry powder on top. We aren't big fans of ketchup in general unless it's on fries, so we were a bit surprised that the sauce tasted like that. That being the case, I just want to inform others, as it's not anyone's fault that the sauce didn't meet our preference. As I mentioned, the sausage itself was quite tasty, especially when I got rid of as much ketchup sauce as possible. We would have gotten a combo, as it is reasonably priced, but we knew we'd be having dinner within a few hours, so this was just a snack. So if you like sausage, and you like ketchup, then this place would totally rock!
