We stayed in Sperlonga a couple of days. We've been in Sperlonga before, but not in this restaurant…read more(just rented some umbrellas and chairs with them before). Because it has a great location at the ocean and the menu looked good we chose this place. A good choice. Came here on all of our five nights in town. We stayed in an apartement not far away, so we didn't need a parking lot. An easy stroll there and back. There is an indoor section (one below deck, one on top) and lots of tables on the lawn. Since we had our Bulldog with (who was very welcome here) we took a table on the lawn. Always got a table, expect on saturday. But then they brought an extra table from downstairs just for us. How nice is that. The menu has something for everybody, as well as some daily special on the chalk board by the entrance. Some of the items we've had: - Seafood Spaghetti w/ Lobster - Seafood Risotto - Steamed Mussels - Seafood Antipasti Platter - Baby Octopus Stew - Mixed Fried Seafood - Spaghetti Vongole - Pizza Biancho (Speck, Potatoes, Mushrooms) - Slized Beef Steak w/ Salad - Pasta Vongole w/ creamy sauce - Frittura Italiana They know how to cook here. Quality-wise all items were of high quality, seafood and fish fresh. Cooked to perfection and tender. Pasta always al dente. Presentation nice, size very good. Sometimes couldn't even finish it. The Seafood Spaghetti is a fantastic meal. Ok, with a bit over 30 Euros on the pricier side, but oh so good. Nothing short of amazing also the baby octopus stew. Not easy to find and for just 10 Euros a steal. The Pasta with the creamy Vongole sauce was also very very tasty. Homemade noodles....but very very heavy and filling. If you go for that, don't order a starter. The Frittura Italiana is a well priced item and it's not on the official menu. It's a starter, but easy feeds four (for a starter) or two (for a main). It's all deep fried. Try it, many locals order it. We mostly had a bottle of white wine, one time Rosé. Always served in a nice wine cooler by the table. If you order White, then try the Fiano. Amazing Wine. Really loved our dinners here. Not the very cheapest. But worth the money. Great location, wonderful staff, lovely food. We'll be back one day.

Franceso Martucci, the pizza chef, is known for applying advanced culinary techniques. A large portion of the pizzas on his menu has dough that is fried, steamed, and then cooked in the oven. Did it make a lovely, light crust? Yes. Is it better or more tender than the pizzas we had elsewhere that had only been fried or had only been baked in an oven? No. APPETIZERS: FRITTATINA VEGETARIANA: Crispy potatoes sautéed in Normandy butter with red peppers, Salina capers, sun-dried Caiazzan olives, fondue and 28-month aged Parmigiano Reggiano Bianca, Buffalo milk cheese, béchamel scented with cubeb pepper, and fresh basil. This was just a single bite. POLENTA FRITTA. Corn polenta, wild garlic, cubebe pepper, pecorino cheese; served with onion mayonnaise (no eggs, with soy milk). Everyone at the table liked this, PIZZAS: UNA VOLTA Fior di latte cheese, Semi-aged Agnone Caciocavallo cheese, blue cheese by Fattorie Garofalo, marinated Scottona beef top round with garlic, olive oil and parsley, lime mousse, Sichuan pepper, cubeb pepper. The toppings were the star on this one, and it was not overly blue-cheesy. ASSOLUTO DI POMODORO: Roasted cherry tomato cream, piennolo tomato sautéed, yellow tomato sautéed, San Marzano PDO tomato mousse, dried piennolo cherry tomato, chips of red datterino, Piennolo tomato jam, extra virgin olive oil Matilde Misuraca. This was a tomato-forward pizza. Did I enjoy it? Absolutely. Was it better than a plain Cosacca that I had later that week at Pizzeria Salvo? No. VIA EMILIA  Fior di latte cheese, Mortadella Bologna PGI, flakes of 28-month-aged Parmigiano Reggiano made from Bianca Modenese cow's milk. Although my wife ordered this pizza, this was my daughter's favorite. It had the best bake of the pizzas we tried, probably because the toppings were added post-bake,
