We came upon this place while on our way from Salzburg to Vienna, and were looking for a place to stop and grab something light and simple for lunch. It is indeed a pizza place with lots of choices of pizza items, as well as drinks. The business is divided into two: there is an inside seating arena and an outside arena that has its own bar and seating. This review concerns the outside seating and service rendered. Rated with 2 stars because we found the man behind the bar extremely rude in his approach to customer service. He appeared to be the supervisor and there was a young woman wth him as well who did most of the running around bringing food from inside the restaurant, while this fellow sat around on his stool dictating and directing with a level of arrogance befitting a Nazi ordering around his untermensch. After we ordered the lunch special which included a soup and a pizza, we found ourselves with a soup different from the one ordered. He did not tell us upfront that one does not have choice in the soup - even though it appears so. We are vegetarian and we told him that the soup had a chichen broth base because it was clearly evident from the taste. His attitude back to us was: take it or leave it. After we were done with our pizza, there were two halves left and we wanted a doggie-box. Instead, of bringing a pizza box (which I had seen him do for other customers on other tables) he brought an aluminium foil roll and told us we could wrap the leftover pizza halves if we wanted to take them with us. No amount of requesting was going to budge this fellow to give us a pizza box: that was not possible according to his Nazi ubermensch attitude. So I went inside the restaurant and asked the chef himself if we could have a pizza box to take our leftovers - he obliged without any hesitation - and I protested to him that his representative outside was not exactly welcoming in his approach to customer service. People should not be working in these people-facing jobs if they dont have the decency to be polite to customers or if they plan to discriminate between customers. I will not be returning to this resetaurant, ever, on our next trip to Vienna some time later in the year. Pizzas were not tasty either - mediocre. Soup was ok. Price was fantastic. Portions were fantastic. Pity about the attitude and service of the man in charge outside. Shame on you for your bad attitude. read more
