This restaurant had great reviews and I was in Taormina for a few hours and I was craving a pizza. We get there and their was only sitting in the back of the restaurant, anything facing the water was full. It was really quiet in the back of the restaurant which was fine for us. The service was a little slow as expected in Italy. I ordered a pizza, limoncello spritz and a sparkling water. My friend order the risotto and a glass of wine. The pizza was delicious and it was cooked perfectly. The only problem I had was my friend and I split our checks and we were both charged an extra charge. Please be aware of this when you are here. My husband and I had the best pizza ever. The service was awesome! We had dinner with a gorgeous view! I highly recommend this restaurant.

What a horrible and disappointing experience. From minute 1 a disaster. We walked in with a bottle of water we were carrying with us. Poured it into the glasses at the table. Our server young guy with an awful attitude came up, said we can't bring water in the restaurant it needs to go outside and literally took the glasses of water off the table. Had we been smart we would have gotten up and walked out but had already ordered a bottle of wine. He then took our order, left 10mins later said he lost our order. We reordered, I asked him when we would be receiving our wine and he said it's on its way. 5 minutes later he brought to it. That was the last time he came to our table. About 20 minutes later someone else delivered our food while we watched him pay attention to other tables. A good 30 minutes passed after we finished our food and one of the other servers cleared our dishes and asked if if we wanted desserts. We said no thank you and asked for our check. We saw him arguing with the young guy who was supposedly our server. Still no check after another 15 minutes so we got up and walked up to the front desk to get our bill and pay. As I walked up there the young server ran up to me got in my face and started screaming at me that I need to pay! I said I need a bill, he then kept screaming at me. Now there is a significant age difference, this punk was in his 20's and I'm 65. It was getting to a point where physical altercation could have happened. The older woman at the front started yelling at him at telling him to go away. We believe she was the owner and the punk was her son. The verbal altercation became quite heated. The other server came behind him and dragged him off. We paid and left. Unfortunately it doesn't end there. My wife in the middle of the night became violently ill. Just randomly picked this restaurant walking down the Main Street but very authentic Italian cuisine! The tomatoes looked like candy and the mozzarella was so fresh. A great dining experience with a beautiful view atop the Ionian Sea. read more

Beautiful views from the terrace. Extensive menu and pizza menu. We all ordered different pizzas. I had the Taormina pizza with kalamata olives, anchovies and artichokes. They also had an extensive wine list and were super helpful in helping us pick out wines that were from the area, which was nice to try, since there is an active volcano and makes their growing region and soil a bit unique. read more

Beautiful views of the Sea from up high in the cliffs of Taormina, this quaint pizza/pasta/seafood restaurant was the perfect stop on our Sicilian excursion today. My wife and I were able to get in immediately with our three kids on the back patio area with a wonderful view of the sea. The staff and patrons of the restaurant were very kind and professional. They spoke decent English too which is never a requirement but always helpful. I had the Fettuccine with calamari, shrimp, and clams and it was AMAZING. We also had a couple pizzas to split for the family which were also very good (as you'd expect in Sicily)and a beer. The bill total was €66 which is really not too bad considering 1. It's Taormina and 2. It was enough food to feed two adults and three kids with leftovers. I will say plan better than we did for parking as I did have a ticket waiting for me upon our return to the Jeep I'll update with some pictures later as they're on my wife's phone Ciao! A nice restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Apple maps took us to the back entrance - I suggest you to enter from the front. Servers English was manageable. We shared one Pizza Taormina and tried some local wine. For dessert we had the semifreddo pistachio. Everything was good. There was a bread charge of €6 per person. Service was a little slow compare to back home but that's probably just culture. Restroom was very clean. read more

Every meal we had in Taormina was excellent, and then we ate here and it blew the rest away. We stumbled upon this cute little spot while walking near the piazza and I'm so glad we did. We had a seafood salad to start with citrus, avocado, octopus, shrimp and calamari along with tomato soup (so good). For dinner we had the caserecci with tomatoes, eggplant and zucchini (amazing!!) and a white pizza with mushrooms, sausage and pistachio (to die for). Highly highly recommend! The backyard is beautiful and they also have a balcony that views the sea! read more

This is by far the best restaurant I have been trying in Taormina. I go to Ristorante Pizzeria Taormina very often and I can tell you that every dish deserves to be tried. Pizza is amazing but, more than that, I like spaghetti ai ricci, the fresh fish: tuna, triglie, spigola, etc. The view is breathtaking and the atmosphere is relaxed and very romantic at the same time. There are only a few places in Taormina with the same privileged view of the baia di Naxos. If you are in Taormina this is a Must Visit. read more
