Gusto has got all the ingredients for that genuine neighborhood place that you'd be more than happy…read moreto come back to time and time again. Actually located inside a courtyard surrounded by domestic houses and apartments does bring that local charm to the forefront. The restaurant in itself is located in a yellow wooden house and it's quite easily missed and even I walked right past it the first time even though I was actually on my way there! The restaurant is all Italian-influenced and it has two separate sections, one is referred to as the "Pizza Bar" where, of course, pizza is in the forefront. And here we're talking about Napolitan quality pizza with amazing ingredients. At this part of the restaurant there are no reservations but only drop-in, take away, or hanging out at the bar, perfect for instance an after work get-together. The Pizza Bar also holds the bar with a good selection of beers, cocktails, wines, sometimes live music and DJs. A nice party place. The other section of Gusto is the "Taverna", the a la carte dining area only open during evening from Wednesdays to Saturdays. Here they also have all the pizzas but also a lot of other dishes. Moving on. I came here with three kids in tow after several hours at an adventure water park - all of them both tired and hungry. We sat down at one of the available tables and I went over to the bar and ordered pizzas. For the kids it was a Margherita (tomato, Fior de Latte mozzarella, basil and olive oil) with extra prosciutto. For myself I wanted to go out on a limb and try something completely "out there". They had one pizza called Alberto that consisted of buffalo mozzarella, rosemary potato(!), garlic, salsiccia, and grana padano. When the pizzas came out I was utterly amazed by how tasty all the kids pizza's looked and my looked like something I had never seen. But taking my first bite of it I just sighed and said "wow...". Utterly amazing and delicious. Crispy yet fluffy dough with such good taste, and all the ingredients were like fireworks in my mouth. The kids devoured their pizzas like they'd never seen food before and all of them were extremely happy. I'm telling you, there's pizza and there's Pizza! So good, and a really beautiful restaurant with great service. I'm definitely taking the entire family and going back for a visit to the Taverna section next time - I'm absolutely a fan! Best pizza I've had in a long time, maybe just ever to be honest.

Very friendly personal…read more It took about 25 minutes for us to get our starter. I found this quite long, especially considering that the restaurant was perhaps only 75% full. I found the wait between the starter and the main also too long. Of you start noticing people at your table to get inpatient and keep looking in the direction of the kitchen/waiter, you know something is off on the timing. The Indian food that we ordered tasted good. One thing that was not to my satisfaction, that was the "naan" bread, a typical Indian bread. The bread that was served was not naan bread at all. They claimed that it was naan bread. Instead it was bread that looked like normal pizza bread and tasted like normal pizza bread. I guess this might happen with a restaurant that doesn't focus on one specific area (for example Indian), but rather does Indian, Korean, Italian, American and a couple of more countries. The papadam starter and the sauce was truly Indian and tasted great. The Garlic Chicken Sizzlar that I had with the main tasted great as well. The restaurant in itself looked ok, so overall an ok experience, but definitely not one to write home about. The price was good. Of the Indian places that I visited (2 in Amsterdam, 1 Stockholm, 1 Sundvall and this 1 in Luleå), food taste wise Luleå was definitely on the bottom of that list. I guess the naan bread was a very big disappointment that made it get to the bottom of the list, in combination with the long wait, as I'd like to get my starter within 15 min after I get my drink. I can imagine that the wait is even longer when the restaurant is full and many people order take away. Not sure if I would return here, perhaps only if I haven't eaten Indian for several months (which probably won't happen).
