While staying in Havre Montana we went to PJs for dinner. Small town restaurant attached to a small casino. We had good service and the food was tasty. Being from out of town and traveling for two weeks i just wanted a home cooked meal. Who knew I would find that at a casino in the small town of Havre Montana. I just did .Pj's Restaurant & Casino . When I drove up to the place I was a bit reluctant to go in but I'm glad I did. I had a open face roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy with a side of corn. Yes it sounds like I'm an old man. But sometimes you just need a good meal. The Restaurant was a little rustic but clean my waitress was vary friendly and attentive I give them a 5 stars for hitting all the right boxes for me. read more

Chicken Drummies were great. Had a really good flavor and a spice that built up in your mouth! The appetizer combo was also delicious- it came with onion rings, mini corn dogs, a variety of chicken, fried mushrooms. Very good! read more

The service was friendly, but a little sluggish. My order was incorrect. They had some of the ingredients wrong in my "build your own" omelette, but I didn't say anything because I didn't want to delay things further. They use cheap ingredients. The mushrooms were canned rather than fresh. The swiss cheese was really waxy white American cheese. I will likely look elsewhere next time I am in town and wanting breakfast. read more

Let me start by explaining that this is not a 4 star restaurant & certainly not fine dining. Why then, you may ask, did I give it 4 stars? Well, simply put, for the type of restaurant it is, it was quite good. That fact, paired with the television show-ready staff, made this visit a solid 4. Some members of our party weren't thrilled with the idea of a casino restaurant, others were not excited about the diner-style and, overall, combined expectations were low when we entered the seat yourself dining area. We were greeted cheerfully by a gal from across the room & nostalgia hit as my mind went back to Mel's Diner. I found myself enthralled by the experience during the rundown of the daily specials. Meatloaf, of course, it was just so fitting. The service continued as such. I ordered chicken fried steak & mashed potatoes- automatically included corn & a roll- I should have told them it was ok to leave both off the plate, but it didn't occur to me, thus both were wasted at my own fault. The chicken fried steak was thick and tender, with a crunchy breading fried golden. The potatoes were real and there was no shortage of gravy on either. The pricing was very reasonable- at just under $40 for 4 adults. I feel like this was a good find for comfort food and regret not trying the pie, of which there were 4 different flavor options. read more

They gave me the wrong soup, so I didn't eat it. I was charged two dollars extra for onion rings, even though I was told that was one of their sides. The burger was definitely not freshly made. It had to of been a frozen patty. It did not taste good, so I ended up giving it to my dogs. I am really disappointed because they usually have good food. Our food was probably 4 star, but our server, James, made it a 5 star experience. My wife and I and our two teenage kids recently had dinner at PJ's. Our food was all really good and well prepared. I had prime rib, which was a great value and very good. My wife had a ribeye that she really enjoyed. Our daughter had the fish and chips and said they were delicious. Our son had shrimp that he also said were very good. James (James from Michigan) was our server. He was great! Super friendly and accommodating. Everything about him was great and he really made our meal much more enjoyable. We left about a 40% tip, he was that good. Easy to recommend on the quality of the food and value alone, but if you can manage to have James as your server, even better! read more

What a disappointment!! I had breakfast (chicken fried steak and eggs) here once and it was pretty good! This visit on Father's Day was a complete failure! Took about 20 minutes to be noticed, then we were told the "Special" is gone, Prime Rib is gone, and then after three orders of Ribeyes they were out too. We were lucky enough to get a Ribeye, or so we thought. My New York strip was 12 oz but 6 oz was fat the other 6 oz had zero seasoning. About 8 fries came as my potato selection. My wife got the lucky Ribeye. It was 12 oz and at least 9 oz was fat. Her baked potato had butter on it and a side of sour cream. Both meals had a cold out of the bag dinner roll too. The waitress allowed our salad bowls and appetizer plate to sit on the table and the dirty tables around us went uncleared for our entire meal, about an hour start to finish. You think on Father's Day they could or should be better prepared and have some adult supervision in the evenings as well. It's unfortunate since Havre has so few choices for food but the locals don't complain much I guess. Lastly the 1960s decor is gross and worn out! read more

PJs is a fantastic restaurant! No matter how busy it gets, service is always prompt and the food is always hot! The atmosphere is nice, which is unexpected since it's attached to a bar. It's kid friendly with kid friendly food. Everything is decently priced and I can honestly say they make the best burgers in town! Their French Dip is fantastic as well as their appetizers especially the popcorn chicken! Servers are nice and good and their jobs and they very rarely run out of food/specials and if they do they have such a great variety of good, simple food that you'd never notice. This place is a definite stop on my next trip to Havre. The reuben was incredible. The menu says it's the best in town, and although i didn't try one anywhere else, i'm thinking they are right to claim it. The homemade potato chips were wonderful. Others in our group had burgers, soup and other sandwiches and I didn't hear any negative comments on any of it. Rumor has it that they also have great breakfast, but unfortunately we weren't able to try that. read more

Best burger I've had and I have had some good ones. They also have a creamy steak soup that was so good, I could have eaten a quart of it. I have had breakfast there twice and they get it right on eggs over easy!! The sour dough toast is what I remember sough dough toast should taste like. Great coffee and service has been excellent on 2 of my 3 visits. First time I had breakfast there a young waitress seemed preoccupied and I had to ask for more coffee after waiting for 20 minutes for her to come by and ask if I needed anything, it also took almost 30 min for me to get my food that morning but two days later I went back and service was excellent and my food was out in less than 10 min. Don't let one visit of poor service put you off, this place is well worth the time and the value is an added bonus!! Huge portions for great price. I would highly recommend PJ's to anyone. read more

the service was horrible we could here the waitress talking bad about us in the back. the union rings were soggy and we had to get 3 different cups before we had a clean cups and we had to wait to talk to a manager for over a hour. i asked for a well done prim rib and it was still bleeding on my plate and when the snobby waitress came to grab the plate with the au-juss sauce she spilled it all over the table and me and me and my boyfriend go here all the time but the service and food just has been going down hill read more
