Plus, as a security company, you want someone that will definitely be on time, not to mention my concern that they apparently only have 1 technician that does both sales and service. Safe Haven Security…read morecustomer service receives 5 stars in helping me fix his *unethical doing and misrepresentation of the company's mission in providing safety. As a first time home buyer, we were receiving a lot of calls and had a lot of things on our "check list" to prepare for purchase of the home and moving. ERNEST used my realtor's name to gain my trust to get me to answer his call. He ONLY mentioned ADT not the full company name. In our correspondence I CLEARLY said I am happy to answer some questions but I will need to speak to my partner and call back to confirm. I NEVER called back to give a verbal or WRITTEN confirmation. He used my limited information to create an account, scheduled an install date (DID NOT make me aware), which happened to be when I was out of town with a dead phone (bc why not unplug I was unaware I was needed). My BF answers the door (which by the way DID NOT even confirm text that was sent assuming it was spam bc I knew nothing of Safe Haven Security). and assumes I agreed to something and forgot to tell him (which is out of character for me I'm very organized). Let's them in and by the time he gets me on the phone I FREAK OUT totally creeped out strangers and who knows what company is in our home and tell them to get out immediately. Luckily, we stopped them before equipment was installed, just invasion of privacy and a HOLE IN OUR WALL. And again at that time NO WRITTEN AGREEMENT. I am in sales and baffled that they can come to your home and help themselves to your wall without a countersigned contract from person whose name is on the account (saler created not me). Never received an email to review their policies hell even their full company name. ERNEST in my opinion is a sneaky coward and should NOT be trusted, frankly shouldn't represent this company. ...oh and forgot to mention Ernest conveniently was MIA day of install and for a week after ignoring my calls to cancel whatever account he set up. Thank god for customer service bc he did NOT see his sale through at all I learned my lesson the hard way DO NOT answer phone calls even if they know your realtor and your realtor knows them. Do you research and protect yourself and home!! Hole still in my wall and a constant reminder of this lesson. Personally, I feel Ernest should pay for repair out of his paycheck (not mine or company's), but of course can't get anyone to call back to discuss that request.

The installation on the security system was amateurish at best. They scuffed up the wall in several places, drilled an unnecessary hole in the wall and then left it and even knocked a picture over and broke the frame. At my home, they were paid $20,000 to install a theater projector system, security, cameras and whole house sound. They also installed smart thermostats and garage door openers. The whole house sound NEVER worked properly and eventually they quit even taking calls to correct the issues. We ended up hiring another company to come in and clean up their mess. We contemplated suing them but decided not to waste the time or money. Would not recommend ever.

My wife's parents have ADS and have been satisfied, so that is what we chose. We procrastinated so bad that is was the week before I was leaving before we called. Once we did call, the salesperson asked if he could come over right then. Surprisingly fast service. He looked through everything and determined what small things needed to be done. One of the sensors on our back shed was dated and needed to be replaced. He gave us one he had in his car just so we wouldn't be charged when the installation. I believe he came over on that Friday and we explained our sense of urgency with my pending travel coming up. He said no guarantees, but he would make some phone calls to see if he could get it to happen. He got us scheduled to be installed that following Monday!! Everyone we have dealt with has been extremely friendly and helpful. Our salesperson gave us his cell number and said to call any time we have an issue. When our new puppy was setting off the window break with her occasional whining, he discussed a solution and got someone out to get it fixed. We have been nothing but happy with our experience.
