Il fut aménagé en 1860 par Denis Bühler, qui allait quelques années après dessiner le Jardin du Thabor. Parmi les arbres remarquables on trouve les cèdres du Liban, de l'Atlas, le Torreya de Californie... La faune du bassin est composée de cygnes, canards, de nombreuses carpes et même d'un héron. Le lieu est idéal pour la découverte de la faune et de la flore, tranquille et intimiste.

A large part of the park is formal gardens, with roses, for example. There are some children's activities and places to hold a wedding. It's something of an aboritum, with some unexpectedly tall and unusual trees. Parking is paid for on the street and there is also a nearby garage.
