Bad water, bad employees, awful service. On top of all of that, they use "smart meters" that don't work well, if at all, so they "estimate" your water use and their "estimates" are always base on your highest water usage month ever. Had water pooling in side yard in front of my house and seeping into gutter and needed help in shutting off water and to verify it was not an issue with their portion of the line. I called mid day on a Monday. I was told someone would come out. 2 days and still no response. I had already called for a plumber but had to wait. My opinion is they need to improve on serving the needs of their clients instead of just collecting on water usage. I'll add that south placer municipal utility district responded within 30 minutes to double check sewer lines. That's service! read more

There is a foreclosure home two doors from me. The Water has been shut off and all plants and trees are dying. The place looks terrible! Placer County Water Agency will NOT allow me to pay for water to water this eyesore property in Granite Bay on 2.5 acres. I have had an account with them for 27 years and have never been late! They are doing the community a HUGE disservice! Shame on Placer County Water Agency and their ridiculous policies! read more

I contacted the Placer County Water Agency to inform them of a problem with the quality of our residential water provided by the county. I have been experiencing high levels of copper in the water as well as sediment that shows up in our toilets as black deposits on the bowls. After cleaning the area it returns within a week and looks terrible. We also contacted a licensed plumber to look into this. He said it was very puzzling and he could not find its origin. We can hope and expect that a county facility that serves our community would feel compelled to insure we are safe. Well, let me tell you that is NOT the case. When we contacted them, Brad Wilkins informed me that they are not concerned and will not investigate this potentially serious issue. In my opinion, this is unprofessional and places us at possible risk due to the uncertainty of the origin. Update October 16, 2020 - I notified Rocklin Public Services that there was a water leak in the street in front of our home. They acted quickly to contact other agencies to mark the street indicating areas where items (cable services, etc.) were located to avoid digging into them. Placer County Water Agency crew came to our door to let us know we would experience water service shutoff for about an hour while they dug up the street to repair the broken pipes. It served our home and the neighbors property. They were quick and professional and corrected the problem. They hoped this would correct the problems we experienced with sediment in our water supply. Its a shame this was not addressed earlier so we didn't have to live with poor water quality for so long. I would have to say that Brad Wilkins dropped the ball and showed poor customer service practices. It is my opinion Brad Wilkins should be trained or replaced so others are not subject to future issues. read more

Disappointed in their Customer Service. Just bought a home and was never told we had water rights to the irrigation system. Almost 2 months later we get a bill for $126. I called to let them know we never signed up for water rights but they said everything is transferable to the new owner. I was able to cancel my rights and get my $100 deposit back but they are still making us pay almost $40 for the 2 months we didn't know about. The worst part of it is our pumps don't work and so there's no way to get water from the irrigation system so we are paying for something we never could have used. Make sure when you buy a new home you see if you have water rights with PCWA because they charge you wether you sign up or not. Their customer service is horrible because they don't need to make sure you're happy. They get you're money either way. I'm giving one star because it won't let me leave a zero read more
