Early on, for example, they mistook me for another tenant and posted a notice demanding rent from me with threat of an eviction. This was my first correspondence from them after signing the lease. Throughout the year, they did not attend to basic repairs upon multiple requests, and did not do a walk through until two weeks before my lease was up, when there was a leak from the upstairs apartment. During the walk through, it was a blame game rather than a respectful assessment of needs for upkeep. On the day I was to move from the apartment, I literally had an emergency surgery. I informed them immediately from the hospital. When I returned three days later with family that had driven from out of state to help me move, along with hired movers, I again had a nasty notice demanding rent if I did not vacate. I felt this was so unclassy and uncalled for, given my circumstances, and having been a quiet and clean tenant who paid rent on time for a year. As though that was not enough, they attempted to withhold my entire deposit due to the three extra days my belongings were there. I literally was swollen and in a lot of pain from my surgery. Only after making a horrible scene in their office because they were so difficult to level with, did they agreed to pro-rate the extra days. Still, they tried to charge me for an entire week (again, unorganized), and made me produce evidence of their error, which I was able to do with a receipt from my movers. When all is said and done, they were bullies when I was barely able to walk, and then nickel and dimed me without regard to extenuating circumstances. I cannot imagine the other ways they try to swindle people who are interested in buying homes. They market themselves as personable to consumers in our small town, but have a very slimy, impersonal style of business that I could only describe as shady at best. Their customer service really is the WORST.

And when you complain about the quality of work, no one cares, no one responds. We have rips and tears in our pool screen, numerous electrical issues, windows that won't open, gutters that leak, an irrigation system that doesn't work, numerous light switches that don't work, large holes in our wall from plumbing work they did that have still not been repaired after weeks, fencing that is damaged and needs repair, and the list goes on and on. When we complain or reach out to Tricon, we hear nothing back, and when you submit something through their app, it will many times simply be deleted on their end with no explanation why. I pay over $3,250 per month for my home here in Jacksonville, FL. I should get and do deserve better from Tricon. Do yourself a favor. If you come across a Tricon home to rent, turn and walk the other way, you'll thank me later.

GCI had been trying since June of 2020 to get them to the job as they promised and here it it is October 8, and I still have not received a phone call back yet.
