So, after working with him for over a year, I think a review update is in order. Everything I said in my original review is still true. I am not going to repeat them here; please see the original review. What has become more and more clearly after interacting with him for over a year is that ZAC TAKES CARE OF MY YARD AS IF IT'S HIS OWN! He does a lot of extra things and he doesn't even charge me for them. Yesterday, I came home and found Zac on all fours on my front yard weeding! For one thing, it was a 80 degree day. Also, he is NOT even expected to put out the weeds. I learned that he had been doing that without telling me because my house is on a corner lot and is very visible to people who walk by. So, Zac is not only knowledge and good at what he does but also very passionate about what he does. I could not possibly ask for more from him. Dawson was the salesperson on my last purchase. He also has carpet laying experience. Anyway, everything went smoothly, and on time and in budget. I was particularly happy that I didn't have to hire a seperate worker to remove doors and baseboards in preperation. The layer there handled that, as part of the regular installation. They also had to upholster carpet onto an opening bench window seat. That takes more skill and they pulled it off, no problem. Good inventory there too. I stick to the Nylon choices for cut pile carpets, so the fibers are less prone to matting down in the traffic areas.

I originally sought to hire a roofing contractor via Yelp and sent a quote request to several companies at once. Edy responded within an hour of my posting and via messaging I shared pics of my roof, my budgetary situation and timeline. Edy acknowledged my concerns and met me at my property to better understand and communicate the reality of my roofing situation. Edy proceeded to share his findings (a roof layered with two layers of heavy asphalt shingles) and his professional advice and hesitation to lay a metal roof over the existing shingles, although doable, at this stage considering the amount of weight already bearing down onto the property's structure. His honesty and hesitancy to complete this job to merely satisfy the customer and collect a financial sum spoke volumes. He offered and I accepted, free of charge, a detailed breakdown of all material needed to complete a metal roofing project and after much negotiation with Edy, addressing the labor costs and trash removal, allowed me to better understand the magnitude of a roofing job. After some thought and citing the fact that he set an honest tone from the onset, I hired him understanding that other unforeseen structural issues could arise and upon their first day on the job site with his crew totaling 4, he in fact discovered a foam barrier placed upon the frame acting as an insulator (I have an a-frame home). Edy and I worked through the issue which resulted in additional materials and labor costs, but after detailed removal of the shingles and meticulously installing the metal sheets over insulation via wood slats, the project was completed beautifully and professionally. Edy and his crew were very detail oriented, respectful, courteous and friendly.
