TLDR: Great if you're craving tapas in the Garden City area. Favorites were definitely the shisito peppers and burger. Massive wine collection and tasty sangira. Portion sizes are good. A friend had told us about Plancha and never got around it until recently. It's a small place but a solid menu and lots of wine. They were also able to accommodate us with our stroller. Food we got the pan con jamon, garlic shrimp, patatas bravas, shisito peppers and the plancha burger. The sangria was very good. Juicy, not overloaded with BS fruit and just very flavorful. The bread is like a toasted baguette cut into 4 triangles topped with piquillo salsa, arugula and jamon. Pretty good, I was surpised there wasn't pan con tomato but it was still enjoyable. This is a bit more on the acidic side so if you don't like things too tangy - might not be for you. Patatas bravas, classic with aioli and bravas sauce. Shisito peppers blistered, a bit of finishing salt and lemon. Garlic shrimp was cooked well, personally I'd like a bit more garlic in mine and some bread to mop would be nice but still tasty. Plancha burger was definitely our favorite. It's a blend of wagyu sirloin and chorizo, so it's very juicy with a nice smokiness. Very pleasantly surprised and definitely will be back to try some other things.

Cannot say enough great things about Plancha! My boyfriend and I went for an anniversary dinner. We had never been to a gourmet tapas restaurant before. We ordered a lot so here were our top favorites: Octopus ragu- how unique! Lasagna-style dish, but replace the pasta with tender octopus. Pan de Jamon- Super surprised at how delicious this combination was, a must try! Bone Marrow- We were silent as we savored every flavor of this dish. The caramelized onions were SO good. The setting is pretty casual, with more intimate lighting. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I appreciated that he explained how to eat the Bone Marrow when I asked (embarrassedly). Delicious and innovative dishes. Definitely recommend!

Everything about this place is amazing! From the staff to the chef to the wine selection. I highly recommend if you love tapas!

Want to shout our waitress Danielle for providing an amazing experience. We loved the ambiance and cozy vibes all around. We had several options on the menu. The shishito peppers, garlic shrimp, the potato bravas(must), Jamon, pork belly sandwich (must), fried chicken, octopus ragu, and a pound cake dessert straight from Ukraine. All the items were fantastic, but one of our absolute favorites was the red sangria. Give the place a try you will love it.

Plancha was perfect for a girl's dinner. My gf's brought me here for dinner and we loved the variety of dishes were we able to share and the many wine and cocktail options. We shared the steak board, octopus, paella, and clam flat bread. I'd def get the clam flat bread and steak board again! As a girl who always wants to order everything on the menu, Plancha fulfills my fat girl needs.

Great food and staff was very accommodating of my son's allergies. Enjoy the food and atmosphere. My kids tried a lot of new things that they wouldn't have otherwise tried but because everything was so tasty they didn't mind.

Needed a place in the area to meet some out of town visitors and this fit the bill. The vibe of the place itself is fine, it's a bit cramped and fairly small, so definitely want to have a reservation. We started by building our own cheese/meat board. There were a good amount of options and everything was pretty fresh and tasty. Next came the ricotta toast which we are always a sucker for but this was not my favorite. Everyone's reviews rave about the chicken wings, so we felt like we had to get these and they were good-nothing terribly special. Finally, ended with the steak board. The steak really was nice and the board itself comes with a lot (salad, bone marrow, patatas bravas). The wine was good and seemed like a larger than normal amount per glass. My biggest drawback, however, is the price-especially for a place labeled a tapas restaurant. Everything was just a bit more expensive than I feel it should be. This is most true of the steak board, which was $105. We didn't order more food given the prices and truly left still a little hungry.

Came here with a group to celebrate a birthday, this was a Tuesday evening, we were sat down ordered bottle Artadi Tempra wine, good wine. We ordered Spanish board, comes with different cold cut of ham and cheese, Jason Iberio Platter, Garlic Shrimp, warm olives, Spanish anchovies, octopus, Steak Board. All dishes was seasoned well, only disappointment was the octopus, it was small grill baby octopus not the whole grill leg that we thought we were getting, other wise everything else when well.

This place was very nice, we were immediately greeted and seated upon arrival. Our waiter was very nice and quick with everything. The playlist they had going was great. All the food was delicious. We got shishito peppers, the salmon radish tarte, pan con jamon, and the octopus ragu as well as some drinks. My favorite was definitely the ragu, I could've eaten a another whole plate of it. We look forward to coming back here very soon. It's hard to find good tapas on the island without having to venture to the city so I'm glad this place was so good.

Small plates, cool bartenders and wine oh my ! This sweet little tapas place is the perfect solo lunch date, or first date spot. My boyfriend and I went after work and we loved everything we had! The croquettes were out absolute fave! We sat at the bar and chatted the night away. Def recommend making a reservation because it is a small place but def worth the wait if you decide to walk in.

Wines were quite nice and decently priced. The place is small but very cozy. Good service. However - not impressed with the food. The charcuterie board was superb- loved the selection of meats and cheeses. However the rest of the items were quite ordinary- very underwhelming octopus, bone marrow was super salty and foie gras had very bizarre flavor combinations.

The menu wasn't overwhelming, and there were definitely many amazing options to choose from. We ended up getting the grilled octopus and burrata as starters for our table. The burrata I felt was the most underwhelming dish out of all the ones we had ordered as the bread underneath was toasted to the point that we couldn't really cut it or chew it because it was so crispy/stale and I think I would pass on this dish. The grilled octopus though? Phenomenal. I would highly recommend getting it as an appetizer for the table as the flavours of each component was just amazing and the octopus itself was perfectly seasoned and not overcooked. For entrees, we decided to share 2 pastas and a pizza and they were all amazing as well. I believe the pizza we had ordered was a spicy vodka pizza, and the crust was nice and thin and crispy, but still held up which is what I love! One of the pastas we had ordered was a ragu bolognese which was wonderful, but I think the star of the entrees was the Friday pasta special! It was tortellini in a mushroom cream sauce with lobster and other seafood and I loved how the tortellini's flavour didn't overpower the dish at all. For dessert, we ordered the cannoli cheesecake and the baked apple tart , and the apple tart definitely blew us all away! It was nice and hot on the skillet, and the flavour of the apple filling with the flaky pie/tart pastry was so delicious, especially with a bit of the melting ice cream on top! Overall, I had an amazing experience here and would definitely recommend coming here for a date night or even a group dinner!

I stopped by last night after a multi year hiatus and was surprised to see the place so crowded on a Monday evening. The vibe has certainly amped up from quiet and relaxing to lively and frenetic, especially around the bar area. Maybe their "Mussel Mania" promo** (a 3-course repast for $39.95pp including appetizer, a nice array of mussels, fries and chocolate mousse) drew in the hungry hordes. I noticed that most tables chose to join the Mania when I was there. Service was good considering the situation. They offer an amazing selection of Belgian beers served up in authentic glasses from the breweries that produce them. I chose the dark Cherry Chouffe and appreciated its 8% kick and hoppy fruity taste. The lobster croquette appetizer was miniscule but tasty. Mussels with bread crumbs, served in a large black pot, were OK but on the small and dry side. Chocolate mousse dessert, presented in a small cup with chocolate sauce drizzled on top, was a puzzling Americanized version of one of my favorite rich desserts. I saw some tempting things on the menu and plan to stop by another night to sample different items; in fact the cheesy onion soup is calling my name now..... **Tip: Make sure to ask your server for the Mussel Mania promo if that's your choice, as it isn't offered on the main menu they hand out.
