As someone who's gone to this gym from time to time, there are a few pros & cons that I will list…read moreout in detail to help you better understand as to whether or not this gym is for you! Pros: The gym has a LARGE amount of amenities. There are two basketball courts (which are also used for pickleball), an indoor lap pool with hot tubs, an outdoor swimming area with slides (at an extra charge). There are classes, a ton of different machines for both cardio and lifting, and a really clean and upscale atmosphere. People tend to mind their own business and the staff have on average been helpful, at least in my experience. There is also a kids "daycare" if that's what you call it. A lot of parents will use this so they can have time to work out and actually work. There's a little area right next to the cafe that has tables and outlets. I see a lot of people with MacBooks doing work. They probably work remotely. Who knows. Cons: The price point for this gym is definitely the highest of them all coming in at $220.00 a month per person. IF you are married or you can prove cohabitation, you can add an additional person on your account for around $100 a month. This gym definitely has a crowd that is very gymcentric. This isn't a bad thing. But some people who are looking for a more chill or less intimidating atmosphere may think twice. I was one of these people until I decided to just not care. But that's easier said than done. The gym can be exceptionally crowded at peak hours. So if you plan on going daily I'd do my very best to avoid late afternoons on weekdays and nights on weekends. I was hoping the bathroom situation would be a little better but, there seems to be 2 bathrooms for ladies and men of course (from what I've seen). And with the amount of people there sometimes, it can be a little bit hectic. The locker room is fine and the showers are just average. At the price point of $220.00 I was expecting some futuristic pod shower than also does your taxes but, we all can't have what we want. The outside swimming area is an additional monthly charge, by the way. Conclusion: So take it or leave it. The price point is HIGH, but there are a lot more amenities and options for machines than any other gym out there. Is that justified? I don't really know. So three stars. Until they have a robot that does my taxes, then it might go to 4.

Customer service from Jessica is exceptional. If any questions can't be answered while I'm there, she always gives me a follow-up call at home telling me that my issue was resolved. They are taking multiple precautions for Covid; masks are required and wearing them is enforced, temperature is taken at door, social distancing enforced by select equipment being restricted. Sanitizing solution, paper towel dispensers and hand sanitizer are strategically placed throughout the gym. Members also have the option to have their own sanitizer spray bottle to keep throughout their workout (available at the front desk). The staff also cleans multiple times a day. Jessica and her staff have really gone above and beyond to keep members safe. Aside from Covid, they have always maintained a clean gym. All equipment is in perfect working order and they have a great selection of machines, free weights and cardio equipment. It's open 24/7 so there's no excuse for missing a workout!!

Don't let the tiny little storefront trick you, this place is much larger than it seems. When I went inside I was shocked by how clean it was! Albeit this is a new location with brand new machines, but because it's a somewhat smaller gym cleanliness is something that's easy to maintain here. Ahem, unlike some other chain gyms in the area. They also have a fair number of machines that I've never seen at most other commercial gyms. For instance a stair master that's a literal stairs, basically a small escalator that you get to continually walk up. They also have a brand new ReAct machine (the only one in Pennsylvania!) which is a really weird experience but definitely worth a shot. It's a very quiet place, and on average there's perhaps five people there working out at any given time. You never have to fight for equipment. Overall I really like this gym, and it really sticks out from most of the other chains in the area. Go while it's still new, I get the feeling this place will start filling up soon.

You can even get a 1 day pass online and not have to make actual contact nor is it expected probably. For the monthly pass, with no enrollment fees, mind you, you would need to make an appointment the first time around. If you can make it at least 5 times to the gym within the month, then it is worth getting the 24-7 access by the month. Most gyms wanted to charge me an enrollment fee for a partial one month period, and it was just not worth it to do that for me. Most gyms don't have 24-7 access and those that do will tack on this enrollment fee. I was planning to work out manually but then I had thought of this gym and tried asking and glad I did! There are showering facilities which I wouldn't have expected, but it's super nice to know that I don't have to leave sweaty and head straight back home if I don't want to. Definitely a potential incentive to keep working out and makes it feel less like a stressful event. One of the showers doesn't even work currently, but there are two others that do. The toilet paper rolls look worn out and it feels like if they were fixed, some musclehead might accidentally break it again by pulling too hard on it. Another one, during one time I was there, the water was accidentally left on and I turned it off, I could see how one might be in a hurry and not have closed the faucet all the way. You just try to do the right thing with minor things like that. Most clients probably would prefer to drive home and use their own comfortable shower rather than the one provided here. There are also a few bottles of wipes provided, but I was probably the only one who would use them or maybe they would only be used by others if sweat got on the equipment. There's a whole array of apparel from online that can be shipped directly to you and pictures of history and pride of the gym and the owner's past interests and successes. I can't fully appreciate the equipment that is here nor understand how to use much of it. I tried to look what equipment was what and how to use it when I could and sometimes I just did things by looking and feeling them out enough but making sure I could handle the weights and such if things didn't quite go as I expected. The only thing I wish this gym and most gyms could have is an optional local community event to get together and just chit chat once in awhile, maybe like every month or 2 or 3 months. I have run into a few that do this or did this once in a rare occasion to try it out, but it is a way to try to build community so that I'm not just showing up and leaving. Gyms that have classes, as I can't make those regularly, I'm not able to socialize that way. So, the classes have become not a big deal to me. The personal trainers I've tried at other gyms is hit or miss, more miss The trainers I tend to like to work with the least are the ones that have been hired through a mainstream gym because many of these people only want to work with certain clientele and they may do things like not show up to their appointment or put someone else in place when that is not the standard practice at most gyms (and this probably should be the standard practice at most mainstream gyms.) They are trying to go for the "relational" connection building, but most gyms are way too transient for this on both the client and staff sides to be effective. A few reviews have said that one can just ask others for help. While I probably could've, I did feel like as a non-jock, I would be intruding on someone else's workout and if I asked them something, what could I offer them back that they would want? Sometimes, a "thank you" might be enough, but I guess living in this world and how it's changed and socially, not for the better, I feel uncomfortable without more context. Even something as simple as I recognize that brand name on your shirt or something "generic" but thoughtful like that could be enough. I think there are people who are probably really nice, but some that would be super annoyed. You don't always know 100% but you just get that vibe. Even things more in my space and YelpE, and even in things where I definitely level off enough with others, I have not built the tight friendships one might expect. A few people did say "hi" when I was least expecting it, and one person ended up going into the gym even thanking me for "letting him in", but I wasn't actually letting him in and I didn't want to create an unnecessary conflict. I also just wanted to leave the gym at that time too. It was safe to assume he had a valid pass and just wasn't finding his pass or working the system right. This slew of gym types is typically less advertised I believe as a Baltimore friend thought this type of gym didn't exist near him.

Mixed feelings about this location…read more I think the best two things about this location is its Women's Only workout area, and the bathrooms. The equipment is nice and the space is clean. It's nice that the women get their own private section (win for the girlies), and the bathrooms are awesome. Full doors you can close and lock. God do I hate stalls, and urinals, sorry but standing next to another dude kind of ruins the vibe. I think that Edge is definitely an upgrade compared to some of its competitors. I'd say this location is a good middle ground gym. The staff are very young and that's great and all, but don't expect a high tier level of professionalism. Imagine if a frat house started a gym and their dads had a crap ton of money. That's basically Edge.

I'm not even going to bother to write every single thing that I observed amongst certain members of the management team, because I am pretty sure they will be terminated. And from the looks of things, their fragile and immature egos, NEED their job; Karmic debt will deal with them. You are NEVER, while employed with an establishment, allowed to allow your personal beliefs and feelings to get in the way of your job duties. Aaron, you and your GM should be working at McDonalds. The both of you will blend into that work environment much better. They will know exactly what I am talking about. But I will expect them to have each other's backs and act clueless when they are addressed with this review. The sad part about this is: I will never step foot in that location again. I am less than 10 mins away and I would much rather drive my a$$ down to Cherry Hill, where the staff and management are MUCH better...and besides, I blend in. It is a shame what this planet has become. One thing about me, I spend intentionally. I NEVER give money to establishments who have poor customer service. ESPECIALLY when they allegedly represent senior management. I dont know if it's because my lady looks better than theirs or what...but what I am certain about is that Aaron has demonstrated poor leadership qualities. And if that truly is the GM of that location, (yeah, that other guy?) that location will always have lower numbers. And it has absolutely nothing to do with the size of the town. I have observed them both..they have no idea who they are dealing with. I would rather get lost in the "zoo" at Cherry Hill, than workout in that place and toxic environment. I just feel sorry for all the other employees there who are great. The location has two stars because of a wonderful employee who checked in my lady as a guest yesterday; she was mature, genuine and polite. Other than that, I would highly recommend for the rest to act their age and not their shoe size. Shame, shame, shame on those little boys. Smh. Other than the obvious, the equipment they have are good to go, and a huge selling point is the Women Only gym. All gyms should really consider implementing this, because seems like folks are more idiotic with each passing hour. This review is specifically customer-service based and for Aaron and his GM; dont call our phones either. Best of luck to the rest of the staff.

DO NOT ACCEPT THE "FREE PERSONAL TRAINING SESSION" HERE ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A CUTE YOUNG WOMAN…read more Predatory and Unprofessional: Serious Safety Concerns at Mount Laurel Location My experience during a "complimentary personal training session" three days ago was disturbing and made the environment feel predatory and unsafe. I was paired with an older male "trainer" whose comments, behavior, and high-pressure sales tactics were deeply unprofessional and disrespectful. What I experienced was not actual personal training. Instead, the session included manipulative and sexually harassing comments, including contradictory statements about my body and him dramatically claiming he needed to "save my life" Harmful Management Inaction What made this situation so egregious was the direct involvement and subsequent inaction of the manager, Ben. He was sitting nearby the entire time, witnessed the trainer's manipulative and harassing comments, and still chose to sit idly by. This was an incredibly unethical failure of management that actively reinforced the predatory environment. Internal Staff Concerns and Prior History The manipulative behavior was so blatant that when the trainer attempted to involve another male employee, the employee refused, even stating, "This guy does whatever he wants around here and gets away with it." I later learned from staff at a nearby LA Fitness location that multiple members at this Mount Laurel location had previously reported similar concerns. Despite these prior reports, I was still paired with him, which raises serious questions about member safety and oversight at this facility. Positive Exception I do want to note that Jared was very kind, respectful, and professional when I joined the first day, and I truly appreciated his customer service. This gym would be a safer and more welcoming place if more staff demonstrated the same professionalism and care that he does.
