After couple bad experiences at the PF voachella location, I'm happy as a new customer, to see that the manager take pride managing the gym, he actually called me to chat about the situation and all I can say he did come through and fix the issues and it's nice to see a person care about his responsibilities and try to manage the best possible way the place. I think the Black card membership here is a really good deal. Staff members at the desk were welcoming and helpful. I like how the women's changing rooms are glassed off from the common areas. One of the showers has a fold down seat and a safety bar. Love the emphasis on not shaming people. I will never use most of the equipment, but when on a road trip I like having a safe place to go to stretch, shower, shampoo, and get a massage. If I am travelling with a friend or family member it is nice for him to be able to check in alongside of me. I am not in Coachella often, but when there, this is a great rest stop. read more

The machines are always busy no matter at what time you go, showers are not clean on a regular basis, and manager gets angry when asked about the showers being clean. The towels papers always missing. Just had a bad experience. read more

Staff is really friendly. My only gripe is that no one walks around to restock weights... yes whoever uses weights should be retaking BUT! It doesn't happen so they should have someone dedicated to walk around every half hour and rack any weights left behind. It's mainly the females in that gym that grab dumbbells take them to other side of the gym and just leave them there! It's very annoying. I liked this gym for the following reasons: Easy parking in the big lot out front Clean and modern gym and locker rooms Friendly staff Good number and variety of cardio equipment Machines were organized well and in good working order Most of the equipment looked relatively new Hospitality baked items and drinks were offered (it must've been a special occasion) The gym was not overly crowded Patrons appeared friendly and polite Cleaning staff was constantly working during the time of my visit Fun atmosphere The free weight area was quite small. This gym is not worth it, We got a warning coming in letting us know that we can't wear slides, We were only going to do pull ups and push ups so we said we won't come with them again, (Side Note : Any other gym I have visted never complained or kicked us out for anything like this) 10m later they kicked us out for the slides even though they let us off? Your better off waiting on EoS Fitness to open. I will most definitely cancel my membership soon, once EoS opens. read more

Staff not the friendliest but not the worst either. Every morning, I see them with their backs turned away and on the phone or engaging in conversations among them. They do not acknowledge guests coming in or out and anyone can just get in without scanning their membership because staff members are not paying attention. Some equipment is not bolted either to the ground which could be a big safety hazard. I've only seen one gal take the time to go around and clean and make sure there are tissues and spray on the gym deck. No one monitors the quick workout area so I've seen people there hogging the equipment. The price is not expensive and you get what you pay for. It's an ok place not the best but not the worst. I love coming here because it's so affordable. I pay $10 a month and it's been great, they recently added new machines. Best time to come is anytime before 5pm. After 5pm it's hell, you will most likely be standing around waiting for machines to open up. read more

I mean, this place gets the job done. With the amount you're paying, do you really expect the same service you would get at Equinox? I don't think so. This gym establishments motto is basically you having to rely on yourself to motivate and kick start your own fitness journey; as well as test your damn inner fat kid by trying to avoid those damn tootsie rolls they place all over the damn place. Like, really? That's the only thing I have to put out there. Stop it with the snack shack. I will say this, the few visits I did make to this place were satisfactory. This is the dirtiest, least compliant of those PFs I've used to date and that's too bad because I like the chain despite myself. The chain-wide promise of cleanliness hasn't penetrated here despite some likable staff members. Many of the benches are shopworn but that isn't too big a deal to me, far more to the point, the premium spa areas are not clean, and the Total Body Enhancement machine has had big grimy shoe prints in it half the time I've used it. Clearly, staff need to be mindful enough to check after customers use the machinery and judging by the limited TBE sign ups it shouldn't be that big a deal. No one should be wearing shoes in the machine and they should be cleaned up after, if so. Its a premium service so it should be a top priority. I suspect the issues at this location are more an issue with the franchise owner and that suspicion goes to the weakness of a franchise-chain concept. Obviously, Planet Fitness can't inspire consistency in its franchisees. I'm bummed because this is the only PF in the entire valley. read more

I have been a member of planet fitness for a while and one great benefit is that they have fitness centers in many cities. I had a chance to go to the one in Coachella a few weeks ago and I was disappointed. Many of the machines were old and in bad condition. Unlike my planet fitness in Laguna Niguel many other pieces of equipment were very dirty and the locker room needs to be much more cleaning sessions. read more

We travel full time and I try to review PF locations as we go. This must be an older gym, I have not seen any location that needs up dated and up graded equipment as much as this location, some of the equipment needs maintenance as well, cables and pads. Other than someone sleeping on one of the hydro massage beds it was clean and the staff were great. It will serve our needs while we are here. read more

Good solid place to workout. During the busy hours of the evening it is hard to get any machine. Staff has been nothing but friendly and helpful. Small classes are available during the day for groups of 5 people. Enjoy the new building and I hope they keep it looking nice. More free weight are needed but if your a beginner they have plenty of machines to use. Circuit workouts are also available. 30 minute full body, 12 minute abs also available. This place has gone from bad to worst. I was in there yesterday between 4:45pm-8:00pm. One of the leg extension machines was broken. When I brought it to the staffs attention I was told a part had been ordered. He finally put a "out of order" sign on the machine. 20 minutes later I went to the staff again, as an individual had been sitting on the only leg extension machine working, for 20 minutes texting, on FB & listening music on his iPhone. He wasn't even working out on the machine. Finally two of the staff went and talked to the individual. It was obvious they knew him as they were all laughing & thought it was a big joke. Individuals shouldn't be permitted to sit & tie up the machines to text, FB or listen to music & not work out. Again I had to go up to the staff as one of the paper towel dispensers was empty. When I told the staff about it, he said "give me 10 minutes while I go on my break ". They expect us to wipe down the equipment after each use, but don't want to keep the dispensers stocked with paper towel. Obviously their breaks are more important than helping the customer. We come to this location only because it is the closest one to Palm Desert & Desert Hot Springs. We really do not want to drive to Hemet to the next closest Planet Fitness. read more

Be careful with these guys, they renew your contract without you knowing. I had an emergency so I couldn't pay for two months, fine I paid my late fees but when they were "reinstating" my account they added a year contract to which I never agreed to. I was very specific with the rep that I wanted to go back to no contract and $10 a month but I'm sure they get commission. I will be contacting corporate as I am sure this is a franchise I'm sure there's little to nothing they can do. In that case, small claims it is. Good luck guys. i needed a gym on a short term , downloaded a free pass to try it out, i have been a member of many gym's and guest of many, by far this is the cleanest , the equipment is good to very good, enough free weights, enough tv, spotless shower room, not a fan of the color scheme , hard to please the masses for temperature, very friendly staff, no pressure , very easy check in, the guest fee for 24 hours is outstanding instead of day to day, this means you can go 2 days for the price of one as long as you go 23 hours between workouts, if i was looking for a gym this would be it read more

The environment in this gym is as good as any gym can be. There's more helpful gym goers that I've come across there than the employees. I am not pleased at all! The employees need to be trained because they seem to not be mature enough for the job its unprofessional. I am not going to be renewing my membership when my year is up. Bad service you call to ask about your account and the receptionist leaves you on hold and hangs up on you, and when you call back and tell them that they hung up on you they just laugh. I came here with 2 of my sisters who have black card memberships. I was their guest. It is nice that they allow 1 guest per visit if you have the black membership. The gym is nice. It's a no judgment kind of gym. There are a few things I don't agree with. They say they don't judge you but have signs up stating "no grunt zone" or stating you should not wear bodybuilder attire or carry a gallon of water. Last time I checked that's pretty judgmental. There's nothing wrong with showing your hard work. I have lost ALLOT OF weight and I feel that if I want to wear a tank top or have a gallon of water with me it's because I need keep hydrated and the shirt keeps me cooled off. It's not to prove that I look better. If I grunt it's because I'm working my ass off. All and all they aren't a no judgment gym. They do not value a fit body and encourage you to feel like you should think that bodybuilders are not good people. Very bad image to me. I also saw allot of people not really knowing how to workout. They don't have anyone on the floor assisting them in there form. No bench press put that fits what there aiming for. Also the tootsie rolls is outrageous. You're going to encourage someone to workout and not be judged. Want to lose weight or get healthy. Then hand them tootsie rolls? ?? I mean wow. They need more than 1 trainer. Probably a female To work with that trainer so all people feel comfortable. There equipment that they do have is fantastic good quality equipment. I don't want to be judged based on my fit level. I started out fat and out of shape and I deserve to dress the way I do. Looking up at a sign telling me not to is a little messed up. I judge No one in a gym in a negative way.
